Cute Girl Obsessed | Guest designer for Shimelle

Hey everyone! I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this! And then I kind of freaked out cause I didn't know what I was going to do. Just being honest, lol. But a few days later I walked in to see my daughter playing on her floor with her ponies, dinos and cute little dino blanket on her head and snapped a few pics and thought this was perfect!
I scrapbook a lot of pictures and they always mean something to me, even if it doesn't look like it to others. But this, this was a shot of my little girl, being completely herself and loving every minute of it. I want to make sure to collect all of these moments because she's growing up and doing it fast and I don't want to forget any of it. Ok, ok now to putting my layout together.... I decided in the beginning how I wanted to have my photos clustered together, so I added some adhesive and stuck them together and figured I would figure out the rest as I went. I knew she was looking to the left in all three of them so I knew I wanted my pictures to be on the right side of the layout, then came the little bit of mixed media on the background. I pulled two of my Fun stampers' journey liquid color and splattered them around, hit it with my heat gun, cause I'm impatient and kept moving.
I pulled out my little bin where I keep all my scraps and particley used 6x6 paper pads and started pulling the colors I had decided to use. I have a love for the colors teal, pink and yellow. I also threw in some black and white paper and small touches of gold. These are colors I love together but are also some of my daughters favorites lol, so it works out great for me.
I started pulling papers and tucking them behind my pictures, not even caring that they were from different collections or manufacturers, they looked good together and that's all that mattered to me. I love scrapping this way, it makes it easy for me. Once I had all the layers right where I wanted them, all stuck together, I added some foam adhesive to the back leaving a space to the upper left where I had decided to place a tag that slid down behind the pictures, a little note for my little miss when she gets older. I am not huge on journaling where it can be seen, I usually do it with a hidden journal spot or on the back of the layout, but I wanted to leave a little note for my daughter, something hidden for her, that let her know exactly how this moment made me feel and how I loved it.
After that, I pulled out my bin that holds a bunch of random ephemera pieces and chipboard pieces, pulled things in my color set and started tucking them here and there till I was happy. This always takes longer than I think it probably should, but I move things around sooooo much lol. I thought I was done at this point, I liked my layout and thought my daughter was front and center and pulled the focus, but I felt like my page was a but one sided, so I decided to grab some of my scrap paper stripsand add them to the far left edge and a few little strips at the bottom. I went back and grabbed some of my Bella Blvd puffy stickers and My Mind's eye enamel dots, tucked them here and there and I was finally happy with my layout and called it done.

Hello everyone!! Sarah here, sharing another new layout using the Happy Hearts, sampler kit. I love this kit lol. I think I have probably said that a few times since I got it! I have been playing with different page sizes so far this year and this one is and 8.5x11 and it seemed to work out just right.
I started with a white background, I already had my photos in a little photo strip. I knew I wanted my photo strip towards the middle of my layout, so I went through my papers and pulled a few that I thought I wanted to play with. Once I did that I figured this would be a perfect layout for a to-go coffee cup. So I set out making that lol. Any way I can incorporate a coffee, I will lol.
I figured out how I was going to place the to-go cup with my photos. Knowing this, allowed me to know how much paper I could use adding my layers. I added two layers behind my photo and stuck my photo cluster and coffee down, typed up my journaling and added that below my photos. At this point all the things that I needed on my layout were there, so it was time to embellish and add some more pretty papers.
since it was time to play with more fun papers and stuff, I grabbed some of the papers I had pulled previously and cut some strips and added them to the top and bottom, then I decided since my layout was a bit heavy on the left side because of the to-go cup, I should add a little something more to the right. I cut a triangle out of the pretty floral paper and added it to the bottom right and then went to pulling a few florals to add.
I tucked a few little pieces of florals to the top and down at the bottom, tucked under my little triangle and called this layout done. I hope you liked this layout, I love it and can't wait to play with this kit more! Make sure to head over to the shop and check out all the new kits and pretty things!

oofy Love | Clique Kits Design Team

Good morning everyone!! How have you been doing? I was sick for a bit, but am feeling so much better now! Finally good enough to do a little scrapping! Clique kits has a bunch of new kits in the shop and I was so excited to play with the new Happy hearts kit! PinkFresh studio always has a ton of amazing stuff in their collections!
Ok so I'm not going to lie. I have used kits or collections in the past that had some of these really cute embroidery hoops and I had a hard time using them, so I thought what better way to start off using this kit, then to use them first? Well I had a fun goofy picture of my daughter and her fruit kabob and thought this would work, lol. I pulled the wood accents pack from the kit and chose 5 of them to use. I dipped into the ephemera pack and grabber a few of the paper embroidery hoops from there too.
I started with a piece of white cardstock, grabbed some stamps from the stash and a few distressed oxides ( you can find them in the shop too), and stamped some little splatters here and there. I knew I wanted my photo to go in the center of the page and the circles to go on either side to I started to pick where I wanted the circles to go and in what order. I knew I didn't want both pieces with writing in them to go next to each other and I also knew that I had the one blue and one purple piece and I wanted them on opposite sides too.
I placed all the circles down, decided to grab a few flowers and tuck them in behind some of the embroidery hoops just to add a little more. Then I decided instead of leaving my photo with nothing but a white mat, that I would add a few layers behind it and pop it up on 3d foam. I chose one of the words from the title ephemera, Love, and pulled the beautiful gold alphabet and added goofy to the tops of my photo. To finish off the layout, I decided to grab a couple of the cute butterflies from the ephemera pack and add those going away from the photo at the top. And that finished my layout! I hope you liked my layout and make sure you head over to the shop and check out all the pretty things there!

Crafting 365 | Bramble Fox CT

Hello everyone!! I hope your week is going good! Sarah here today to share a new layout with you using the Craft365 Perspextives and the Crafty Bits. I have to say I squealed a little when I got my box and saw these, I love them!
I grabbed one of my Clique kits and started playing. I had had quite a few pictures of some of the new crafty things I had got and thought this would be perfect for these Perspextives!
I really kept this layout simple. I wanted too with the fact that there were six photos and the background paper I used was so busy. I started with the background paper and then decided to cut a few strips of white cardstock and layer them on top of eachother, distressing the sides a bit. Once I did that and laid it down the center of the paper, I decided that I wanted to add the title/ Perspextive to the center of that and back it with a bit of paper behind the 365 and add some flower ephemera to the rest.
I played with where I wanted my photos, lining them up straight across the layout, clustering them here and there but in the end I decided to add three to the top right and thress to the bottom left and embellish from there. I stuck to of my photos in each set straight down to the layout and popped on up on dimensional foam to add some dimension and I thought I could tuck things under them here and there. But I actually ended up tucking some floral ephemera pieces from my kit under the pictures and adding my Perspextives on top lol. It just worked out that way.
I loved having the crafty bits to add to the layout too! They made perfect little pops to my layout! I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope you head over to the shop and check everything out!! There are so many amazing things there waiting there for you to see!

My Unicorn | Clique Kit Design team

Good morning everyone! I hope your week went good. Me, I'm just happy it's Friday! Well I have been listening to A Storytellers podcast and one really made me thing. I have always had an issues with journaling on my layouts. I usually use my memory planner for more of that really. But I realized when listening to one episode, that I'd never wrote down or told the story of my last littles birth. The pregnancy or anything. So, I thought it was time to do that. That's what this layout is.
I used the Happy Blooms kit for this layout. I loved the pretty colors and embellishments, there was just so much to choose from lol. I picked a large picture of my little miss for this layout because I wanted her to be the center of attention. She was so small and cute lol I started by going through my kit and pulling anything I thought I might want to use and setting it to the side. I picked my background, added a strip of that pretty floral paper to the the top and then stuck my picture down. Then I tried to figure out where I was going to put my journaling. I knew it was going to be quite a bit. I decided I needed to write it out to see how much room it was going to take and it tool a lot! At this point I knew it wasn't going to fit on the layout itself, so I cut it down in to strips that would go in a pocket. So that made my decision of how I would get it all in there. Then to make the pocket.
I grabbed two other papers from the kit, it wasn't easy lol, I love them all. I punched a scalloped border out of the pretty pink one and cut a strip of that pretty, smaller floral. I made sure it was big enough to almost completely cover my journaling, than I pulled out my sewing machine and sewed it to my layout. I liked this better anyways, it added more color to the bottom of my layout and gave me a place to put all the journaling I had done. Once I had sewed my pocket down I slid my journaling in and moved on to adding my title and pretty things.
I knew what my title was going to be before I even started the layout. It is private, my daughter will read about it later in her life, but My Unicorn definitely fit. I grabbed the embellishments I had pulled previously and started laying them here and there on my layout, until I got the combo or look I wanted. Making sure to do my little embellishment triangle. I tucked tags and florals here and there, making it look pretty. But my biggest thought was getting down her story. So she could go back when she was older and read the things that happened through my pregnancy with her and read how happy I was she was there. Do any of you avoid journaling on your layouts? Do you hid it like I did? Well I would love to see how you do yours. And make sure to head over to the Clique kits shop and check out the past kits and all the lovely new ones that are there too! Happy scraping!

Enjoy Today | Clique kits design team

Hey everyone! I hope you've been able to find some crafty time for yourself. I have managed to do that, even though this layout is pretty simple and the picture is really pretty bad, but I loved the memories that go along with it, so I had to scrap it!
I started with a white background, one cause I like a white background and two, because I had no clue what I was going to do. My crafty juices haven't been flowin to well lol. Anyways..... I really started this layout by going threw my kit and pulling things I liked and wanted to use. Once I had all that pulled out I started with my photo, matting it and adding different layers. A little bit of 3D foam adhesive and making sure there was a place for me to stick a journaling card. (I'm trying to be better about adding my journaling to my layouts, I found a scrappy podcast, its a whole thing! lol you might wanna check it out, AStoryTellersPodcast).
At this point I had my photo matted and my place for a journaling card, did my journaling and slid my card into where it belonged. Then I realized, well hey now I cant add things to that side of my photo so, I think I need to figure out what the background of my layout is going to look like lol. I decided I was just going to use a few of the papers I had pulled, cut a few strips and add them to the sides of my layout.
I did a wider strip to the left so that my photo could be anchored there, so I knew I wanted something on the right side of the layout too, some kind of cluster. I still had a bundh of the pieces pulled out so I started layering them, found a piece I wanted to add so I fussy cut it out and tucked some of it in as well. I used a little bit of everything here lol, ephemera pieces, puffy stickers, those cute chipboard circles. I finally got it to where I liked it and decided that my photo cluster needed more too.
I tucked more florals to the left of my photo, along with a bit of the piece I fussy cut earlier. But I don't know if you've looked at this kit, but it has tons of sentiment strips and sweet sayings, so I decided that I was going to use a bunch of the ones I had already pulled and put them under my photo. Sticking a flower in there too, a chipboard circle to bring the stripes down there too and that cute little puffy sticker house. That was it. I started this layout all backwards lol, does anyone else do that sometimes? My big thing for this one was making sure I got the story down. I hope you enjoyed this layout and we'd all love to see what you are creating too!

You are my sunshine | Clique Kits Design Team

Good morning everyone! I hope your having a good week so far. I'm already ready for the weekend here! I want to get some crafting done! But I wanted to share a layout with you today that I made with my Happy Blooms kit from the Clique kits shop. I love this kit!! The colors are amazing and all the pretty things that come in the kit!!
I have this love for yellow. I don't know what it is, maybe that it's such a bright and happy color, IDK. But I had found the little banner piece that said You are my sunshine and that kind of set the tone for my layout. I pulled one of the papers with that beautiful yellow and white and cut that at a diagonal for my background. I stuck that down to some white cardstock and started pulling papers and ephemera to layer behind my pictures of me and my goofy little girl.
I did run some white cardstock through my cuttlebug to add a little more texture to my layout. WHen I did this I really didn't know where I was going to put it but I wanted to have the option to use it if I wanted. Either way it would be used on something lol.I added a white border to my pictures and layered them the way I wanted and grabbed that beautiful blue paper with pretty flowers all over it and cut a square, then layered a piece of the packaging behind that, ruffing all the edges up as I went. That just wasn't where I wanted it though. I wanted more layers and some more color as well. Since I added that floral paper, I could use pretty much any color I wanted. I went through the tags and other ephemera and found this purple tag and added it in to the layers, then cutting my die cut in half I popped that in there too.
Once I did that I really started to like my layout, but I still wanted more on there. So it was time to break out the ephemera, puffy stickers and die cuts. I went through everything, pulled out way to much as I tend to do lol. Then I started to tuck a flower here, put a puffy sticker there and then I found the big teal floral puffy sticker frame and just had to use it. So I added it in under the tag layer and I love the color pop it gives!
Finishing off my layout pretty much came down to adding the pretty little banners here and there that said things about me and my daughter and doing a little journaling on the back of my layout. I hope you liked this layout, I did have fun making it. I'm trying my best not to hoard all the pretty things lol. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of using my pretties though. Make sure to head over to the shop and check out the new kits and hey if you like this kit, it's still available in the shop too! Along with so many others!!

Together | Clique kits international

Good morning everyone, Sarah here today to share with you a layout that was inspired by some stories my little ones have been telling me. We went running around outside, playing in the leaves and when we got in they went to telling me stories about their adventures, so I wanted to make sure to scrap a shot I got of them out there.
I used the Attitude of Gratitude base kit for this layout and it was perfect! I wanted leaves on this layout, being they had played in them all afternoon and all their stories were about their adventures in them too, so I went for a leaf cut-file on patterned paper and opted into a color cardstock background again. I wanted there to be a little lightness to the background, not just plain dark blue, so I dry brushed some white around where the cut-file was going to be, along with some splatters and added my cut-file on top.
From there it was pretty easy to finish up my layout, it was all about adding layers behind my photo and then the pretty, pretty embellishments.
I added a few layers and tags behind my photo and then went crazy on tucking flowers and leaves here and there in a few clusters on the layout. To finish it off I grabbed those oh so pretty Nordica sticker dots and tucked them in and under some of the cut-file and a few other places and that was it for this one. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope we can see more of what y'all create with the Clique kits!

Spin me right round / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!!!
So here is another layout that I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.
This kit is Awesome!! I mean there are plenty of pretty pattern papers in this kit to where I was able to make girly pages and look here a boy page to! lol

So this layout started with the picture, I decided I wanted to use a cut-file after I had went threw my remaining papers. So I went to my computer and opened up my Silhouette software, chose what I wanted to cut out and started it on a sheet of cardstock. Well for some crazy reason my Silhouette decided to shut off half way thew the cut and drag the blade across the cut-file!
I was mad at first. Not only did it mess up the cut-file but it cut threw my mat!!

Well as you see here, I decided I was going to use the cut-file anyways!! It didnt cut the whole thing, it was suppose to be a whole page but I decided I would work with what it gave me. So I used the negative pieces and sewed them to the other side of the layout and I'm happy with how it turned out.
I put the pretty light blue ledger as the backer behind the cut-file and started layering with all the other pretty papers in the kit. I even used one of the little glassin bags that came with some of my pretties in it, as one of the layers.

I added the title with those awesome Pink fresh Studio alphas, love the color! Added a few of the cute puffy stickers here and there, along with some other tabs and tags and that was it for this one.
This kit just keeps on giving!! I got my December kit the other day, dove into it and still keep playing with this one too!! lol Cant help it!

I hope you will come back and see what else I make and make sure to watch the Cocoa Daisy website for the December kits!! I promise you wont want to miss any of them!!

Hello / 12x12 layout

Good morning everyone!!

This is my newest little one here. Shes cuddling with my hubby, pre-hair cut lol, and I thought it was sweet that she just kept staring up at him. So I wanted to capture that. She would just sit there and stare at him, still dose now that shes a few months old, but now she jabbers more and simles, LOVE that!! lol.

Well I used my September Hip kit to make this layout. I had made it when I was still on the design team, but never shared it. I was in my craft room cleaning up and found it, so I thought Id share it. I love the nice soft colors that are mixed in with the new Maggie Holmes Gather collection, but I also like the yellow and blues!
Here are a few close ups for you to check out!

Love love love you so much / Hip Kit club CT

Good morning everyone!
Well I'm sharing my last layout that I created for Hip Kit club as a design team member. Septembers kit was AMAZING!! I loved all the beautiful papers and embellishments that there were to play with.

This layout is of me and my oldest son at his elementary school graduation. He did so good and I'm so proud of him! He ended the year on such a high note, so happy, cant tell I'm a proud momma hu? lol
This was actually after graduation, there was a little celebration for all the kids and their families and of course were a goofy family, so we took a nice picture and then the goofy took over!

The pretty papers from the Maggie Holmes, Gather collection were fantastic along with the Simple Stories, Posh papers, the combination was great and it worked great for a page with a boy. A lot of people may see this as a kit full of pretty pinks and florals, but there are plenty of things to make a boy page too!

I layered that great cut-file Ashley Horton created on the teal paper by Simple Stories and both of those on a sheet of white cardstock by American crafts. I added layers behind my pictures and then I started playing with all the little pretties in the kit and layering them around my layout.

I enjoyed my time with Hip kit club, but now its on to new adventures so I hope you come back and check out what I'm up to and keep checking out the Hip Kit blog!

Oh Snap

I was in my scrappy room a while back and decided I was going to put my kits up and play with my stash, since I hadn't done that in a while and my pretty stash was just sitting there. So I grabbed a picture, I don't scrap chronologically, so I grabbed this picture of my oldest son from this spring when we went on a weekend trip to my in-laws.
We all love going up there and hanging out. It takes a few hours to get there but everyone is always glad to be there. The kids love that they get to be out in the middle of nowhere and my oldest loves to ride the four wheelers!

I decided I wasn't going to go with my plain white background like I usually do, trying to break out of that, but we will see. lol so I grabbed my American Crafts light kraft card stock and dove into my stash to pick patterned papers. I found in my 6x6 paper pads that I had a We R Memory Keepers, notable paper pad. I loved the colors and hadn't touched it yet so I pulled it.
I rooted threw some of my ephemera drawers and ended up pulling things from Pink Paislee, Pink Fresh Studio, Crate paper wonder, Basic Grey, Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp and Amy Tan. I think thats all...

I guess I was kind of procrastinating cause I turned on my silhouette design studio and started scrolling threw my cut-files and I was glad that I did, I found this one that Kim Watson had made, it was actually only the one, but I manipulated it and combined  a few of them in different sizes. Once it was cut I started putting pieces of patterned paper in different places that I liked and backed my photo. Then I adhered it all down and went to embellishing!

I combined so many collections, it makes me happy when I can do that, the old and the new combined and they look good together to me.

Oh I also used a Hip Kit club exclusive flair button on this layout. I had fun with this layout and am hoping to dig into my stash more and more, I need to so all those pretties aren't just sitting there anymore!!
Thanks for stopping by to check this out!
