Discover | Mercy Tiara Kit Club DT

Good morning crafty people!! I’m here this morning to share another new layout with you using the Mercy Tiara Brighter days kit. This kit just keeps giving and giving! I have been having so much fun playing with it, and I still have more projects to share!! This layout is about me, and all the journaling is hidden, but I have been trying to be better about writing down the story, even if everyone else can’t read it. I really started this layout with the picture, the foam sticker title and a piece of white cardstock.
I cut multiple flowers out from the cut files you get when you purchase your kit, I thought since I was doing a layout about me, I could use the pretty flower cut files and flower paper too lol. I pulled the floral paper, it’s from the Flea Market collection from Simple Stories, You’re my fave paper. I knew I wanted to use that, come on its soooo pretty!! Then I pulled different papers that I thought would go with it, some other patterned papers and some that I considered plain or can be used as one for me at least.
I added layers behind my photo, after adding a white boarder of course. I added adhesive foam for dimension and played with the papers till I got them just how I wanted them. I ran some of them threw my sewing machine, added more 3d adhesive and ruffed up the edges. I tucked the pretty flower cut file behind my layers there so that some of it would be sticking out and showing. At this point I hadn’t adhered down my photo and its layers.
I cut a 3-inch strip of that beautiful floral paper and added it to the bottom of my layout and ran it through my sewing machine. I played with the same papers form the ones I used behind my photo; I used the same ones on the bottom. But I didn’t stick them down right away. I decided I wanted to play with a little mixed media and get a bit more of that darker teal color on the page. So, I did. I added a “puddle” behind my photo and its layers and hidden journaling, then I added some to the bottom of the layout where I had picked my title to go.
I added some splatter around the layout too, waited for everything to dry and then stated adhering things down! I tucked some labels behind my title and in those layers I had already made, I slid some foam florals in up by my photo and a cute little camera too!
I tucked in some of the pretty vellum leaves, a life is beautiful banner to the right of my photo, and I decided I was done with layout. I have a question?? Do you show all your journaling where everyone can see it, or do you hide some of yours too? When it’s something personal? I hope you enjoyed this layout, and I hope you come back to check out more!! Amazing Girls Layout | Mercy Tiara Kit Club DT

Good morning all you crafty people!! I'm back again this weeek to share another layout made with the Brighter Days kit form the Mercy Tiara Kit Club!!.
I started this layout by picking my photos. I knew what ones I wanted to use, so I grabbed them. I pulled papers from the kit and started to back my photos anf get them in the configuration I knew I wanted and then remembered I had these beautiful cutfiles I could use!! Soooo, of course I pulled out my cutty machine, added the papers I wanted to use, patterned paper and some white cardstock and let it cut the rainbow and flower out.
I decided to put the rainbow on the left side of my layout and everything towards the top because of the way the girls were looking. It just seemed to fit for me. So I added the rainbos down, and then added the flower behind my photos to just add a little more dimension and I thought it looked nice too.
Once I had the area around my photos the way I wanted, I added my title, one of the large fome stickers from the Flea Market collection, I dont tend to use these but this year I have been trying to make my self step out of my own box. But it worked perfect for my title, along with some of the amazing thickers in the kit too!! I love these Eclair foam thickers!! I layered some of the little bits and bobs form the embellishment under my title and I thought I was done, but I decided to cut my layout down and add a boarder for some more color. I'm glad I did, I like it so much better. I also decided to run the edges of my white Cardstock threw my sewing machine and the rainbow too.
I popped up a few of the stars from the cut file and then added some Heidi Swapp gold color shine from my stash, added some of the beautiful exclusive sequins here and there. Pulled out my typewriter, typed up my journaling, added it to my layout and called this one good!! I hope you enjoyed this layout, and I hope you come back to check out more!! Good Vibes LO | Clique Kits DT

Good morning everyone!! Today is kind of bitter sweet. I am sharing my last layout for Clique kits today. I've been part of the Clique kits family for over 3 years now and I am going to miss it! The online shop will stay open through August and there are great sales going on, when the store opens back up. Gia is away for a little bit and the store will be back open, with the great sales before to long. Ok, well now onto my last layout.....
I started this layout with white cardstock and the Summer Groove kit. I also pulled a sketch from 30 Days of sketches with Christy's Beautiful life. Here the sketch I played with.
I wasnr sure what I was going to do with the background at first, so I decided to play with the photos I picked and adding a few photo mats to them and getting them positioned how I wanted them.
I went through the kit and pulled different embellishments that I thought I might want to use on this layout and put them to the side. I went through my stash of clique kits stuff and found this piece of cardstock. Its an old Bazzil, Blossom. I decided to cut it into strips and use it as my background and for the strips in the sketch.
I added them to my background, ran them threw my sewing machine and ruffed up the sides and decided to start placing my photos and adding embellishments.
I tucked flowers here and there behind my pictures, I popped one of the pictures in the lower right corner up on 3D foam, to add some dimension. This was really a quick and easy layout. In the end I decided to pull another paper from the kit and fussy cut that bottom scallop at the bottm, I added some Heidi Swapp color shine in gold from my stash and called this layout good. I hope you liked this layout and I hope you continue to follow along, even though I will no longer be posting for Clique Kits. I have more scrappy fun coming and make sure to check out my Facebook group, TikTok, youtube and Instagram for more insperation!

Nope Not Today Layout | Clique Kits DT

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend was good! Well today I wanted to share a new layout with you using the Sampler kit, The Good Stuff. Its chock full of beautiful Simple Stories products and I love it!! This kit has so many cut a parts, if that's the way you want to go, if not then there is the full patterned papers on the other side. So Many options!
I use to only scrap the good, happy things, but I thought that's not real life. There are bad or sad things that happen too. Well, a few weeks ago we were out playing and my daughter wiped out on her scooter. She handled it so well though. She sat down and cleaned it up, rested for a few minutes and was back at it. I was proud of her. And I guess this wasn't only sad or anything, like I said she handled it well.
Well to the layout lol, I pulled out The Good Stuff kit and started pulling papers that I thought I might want to use, so all of them! lol But I went through and pulled ones that I thought went well with what I was scrapbooking and telling the story about. First I saw the one that said Nope. And the fact that it had room for journaling, it was perfect! I liked the floral one too, but wanted something else added to it. So, I grabbed those and a few others, but decided when I laid them out that I only really wanted the two cards and to back my my photos with white cardstock.
I had set them up in a grid or square on my layout and decided it was just too much white. There needed to be some more color behind everything. So back to my papers and I found the adorable paper with peaches on it. I decided to use it, other than it was cute, she was a peach about the whole deal, she handled it so well, so I thought it was fitting lol. Plus really it's cute! I added the peach paper to the background and ran it through my sewing machine, this way it was in place and I was really starting lol. I laid my pictures and cards back and thought it needed something more, so I grabbed a scrap piece of the dotted paper and added it too and ran it through my sewing machine.
After I had my jumping off point on my page, I started to stick down my cards and photos. I took another scrap and added it behind the bottom left cut a part and then started sewing again. I like the look of the stitching. I had already ran my journaling card through my printer, so that was done and able to be sewn on. But I made sure to leave a little space at the top of my journaling card to be able to slide a tag in and add a little more info for her, when she gets older. A little note from momma ay know lol
At this point I needed to pull some ephemera and add little bits here and there to finish off my layout. I pulled out my ephemera and of course had to add some flowers, but I love that there was a little banner that said nope not today to add to my bottom left card. I also cut out a label from one of the cut a parts and added it then added some more stitching. I added a little circle with a heart on it and a sticker to the picture of her little knee. I pulled out the enamel dots and added them here and there and my layout was done. I hope you enjoyed this layout and make sure to head to the shop and check out all the new goodies in there!

Endless Summer | Bramble Fox CT

Good morning everyone!! How was your 4th of July weekend? We had a pretty good time with ours. Today I'm using the beautiful light teal Endless Summer perspextive along with my Happy Hearts Sampler kit from Clique kits to make a fun summer layout with 6 pictures on it! That's quite a few pictures for me on one layout, but after seeing this perspextive, I wanted to scrap some pictures from different parts of our summer and this worked great!
I started by printing out my pictures. I made them measure out to 3x4's so I could get at least 3 across the layout. I laid them out straight across at first, in two lines, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I played with them at an angle and I liked that a lot more. Plus I could add some patterned paper and leave some white space to add my journaling.
Now I knew where I wanted my pictures, I picked out a white paper with rainbow stripes on it to add some color to the layout, but not over power it. I have to admit I cut it wrong twice lol. I wanted the lines to go the same direction on top and bottom, so leave it to me to cut it the opposite way lol. But I fixed it and adhered my paper down. Then added my photos so I knew where I had space left for my journaling and embellishments.
I fussy cut some flowers out and pulled some other embellishments from my kit, then started to slide them under my pictures here and there, along with adding a few word stickers on top of my photos. I had printed out my journaling already and laid it out and decided I wanted my journaling to sit on top of some of my florals. I stuck those down and added my title, it went perfect with these photos and moved to adding my journaling down. I was really happy how this turned out, especially since I used so many photos and I hope you enjoyed it! Make sure to head over to the Bramble fox site and see what's in the new fox box and in the shop!

No Regrets | Bramble Fox CT

Good morning everyone!! I am having fun playing with perspextives from the May Fox box. This time I chose to use the No Regrets perspextive. I had decided to climb a mountain a while back, glad I did it them, I got sick shortly after lol. I had been wanting to do this forever! But never managed to be able to. I am not going to lie, it was a little more than I bargained for lol. But I made it to the top and it was amazing! I will be doing it again! But for this layout I only used one of the photos I took while climbing, and actually this was at the very top. Spent a little time up there taking pictures and just taking it all in. I loved it! I thought that the no regrets went perfect with this!
I had grabbed the new Heidi Swapp collection Sun Chaser from my stash and pulled out a sheet that had these wonky circles all over it and decided to cut them out and ruff them up and place them on the white cardstock. This made the background busy enough that I really didn't need to add a ton more to it. So I moved on to my photo itself.
I added 2 different layers behind my photo. I knew that I wanted a area that I could place a tag to have my journaling about the experience. So in between the layers I made sure to tape off a section big enough for my tag to slid into.
At this point I wanted to add my title and that was this beautiful perspextive, No Regrets. I added it to the bottom of my photo, off to the right. But I knew I wanted a little more, but not to much, since the background was so busy. I pulled out the sticker sheet from the collection and found a few that I fet went well with this picture and added those, along with a few label stickers and then I grabbed a stamp and stamped a few things. At this point I thought it would be a good idea to add that cute little camera perspextive that said smile and place it all the way down at the bottom. That was it for this layout for me. I like the way it turned out and I feel like these went so well with the idea I had in mind! Make sure to check out the new items in the shop and check out the Fox box too!

oofy Love | Clique Kits Design Team

Good morning everyone!! How have you been doing? I was sick for a bit, but am feeling so much better now! Finally good enough to do a little scrapping! Clique kits has a bunch of new kits in the shop and I was so excited to play with the new Happy hearts kit! PinkFresh studio always has a ton of amazing stuff in their collections!
Ok so I'm not going to lie. I have used kits or collections in the past that had some of these really cute embroidery hoops and I had a hard time using them, so I thought what better way to start off using this kit, then to use them first? Well I had a fun goofy picture of my daughter and her fruit kabob and thought this would work, lol. I pulled the wood accents pack from the kit and chose 5 of them to use. I dipped into the ephemera pack and grabber a few of the paper embroidery hoops from there too.
I started with a piece of white cardstock, grabbed some stamps from the stash and a few distressed oxides ( you can find them in the shop too), and stamped some little splatters here and there. I knew I wanted my photo to go in the center of the page and the circles to go on either side to I started to pick where I wanted the circles to go and in what order. I knew I didn't want both pieces with writing in them to go next to each other and I also knew that I had the one blue and one purple piece and I wanted them on opposite sides too.
I placed all the circles down, decided to grab a few flowers and tuck them in behind some of the embroidery hoops just to add a little more. Then I decided instead of leaving my photo with nothing but a white mat, that I would add a few layers behind it and pop it up on 3d foam. I chose one of the words from the title ephemera, Love, and pulled the beautiful gold alphabet and added goofy to the tops of my photo. To finish off the layout, I decided to grab a couple of the cute butterflies from the ephemera pack and add those going away from the photo at the top. And that finished my layout! I hope you liked my layout and make sure you head over to the shop and check out all the pretty things there!

Celebrate | Bramble Fox DT

Hi everyone!!! How's your monday going?? Well I am here today to share another layout with you using the Celebrate Perspextive, I also had some of the Hooray collection by Crate paper left over and thought they would be perfect paired together with this layout about my daughters birthday.
I went through the pieces I still had from Hooray and pulled everything I thought I might use, this way I knew what colors I was looking at. I wanted splatters or sprinkles as my daughter likes to call them, on her layout.
I stuck my pictures together with my tape runner, in a wonky photo strip. Then I started to tuck pieces of paper here and there, distressing the sides as I went.
I still had a few of the puffy stickers left and really they were too cute not to use so I popped the bear off to the left of the photos and the cute little cat over to the lower right. I slid a few tags in under the layers behind the photos so that my celebrate perspextive would have a good place to sit, nestled in next to the photos.
I knew that there was a little too much white space on the left side of the layout so I tucked bits and pieces over there too. Once I figured out where I wanted everything and before I stuck it all down, I grabbed a few of my distressed oxides and let my daughter help me make "sprinkles" as she calls them around the layout. Once those dired, I adhered everything down.
I love this Celebrate perspextive, for me, they work perfect as titles and then with the smaller bits they are perfect for embellishing pretty much anything! This one was another that as soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what picture it went with and that it would work perfectly! I added a few puffy stickers from the Hooray collection and a few enamel dots and that was it for this layout. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope you come back to see more of what I have fun making. Make sure to head over to the Bramble Fox site and check out all the new perspextives, stencils and dies. Everything is amazing! And check out the fox box too!

Smile | Bramble Fox

Good morning everyone!! I want to share another layout I made featuring a beautiful Perspextives from Bramble Fox. I love these Perspextives, they make it so easy to create a title or embellish your you/ project.
I started my layout with my picture and Perspextives. Thats what set the whole thing up for me. I saw this Perspextives and knew it went perfect for my picture of my little miss. I grabbed one of my past kits from Clique kits, pulled out some of the scrap papers i had and started layering them behind my photo.
I knew with the title/Perspextives being in blue, that I wanted some kind of blue here and there in my layout. I layered little bits of paper I had behind my photo and then grabbed a few tabs as well and added those.
After I got the photo layers the way I wanted them I moved on to the left of my layout. I knew I wanted everything else to be on the left since she was looking that way. I actually caught this little miss looking out the window watching the squirrels play in the yard when I snapped this one. She was getting a kick out of them running about in the yard. In the kit I was using I had that pretty vellum with rainbows on it and had to use it. I also pulled that big butterfly out of my stash and wanted to use it too.
I tucked bits and pieces here and there until I got it how I liked. I tied some thin twine around the Perspextives and had them hang from there onto the layout and I was happy and thought I was ready to adhere everything down but then I decided to do a little mixed media on the background. I grabbed my tattered rose distressed oxide and did some splatters. It matched some of the colors in my papers perfectly and then I was happy. I adhered everything down, typed my journaling up on my typewriter and placed that to the left of the dangling tags and was done. I hope you enjoyed the layout I created! Make sure to go check out the Bramble Fox shop and go check out the new April fox box!!

My Unicorn | Clique Kit Design team

Good morning everyone! I hope your week went good. Me, I'm just happy it's Friday! Well I have been listening to A Storytellers podcast and one really made me thing. I have always had an issues with journaling on my layouts. I usually use my memory planner for more of that really. But I realized when listening to one episode, that I'd never wrote down or told the story of my last littles birth. The pregnancy or anything. So, I thought it was time to do that. That's what this layout is.
I used the Happy Blooms kit for this layout. I loved the pretty colors and embellishments, there was just so much to choose from lol. I picked a large picture of my little miss for this layout because I wanted her to be the center of attention. She was so small and cute lol I started by going through my kit and pulling anything I thought I might want to use and setting it to the side. I picked my background, added a strip of that pretty floral paper to the the top and then stuck my picture down. Then I tried to figure out where I was going to put my journaling. I knew it was going to be quite a bit. I decided I needed to write it out to see how much room it was going to take and it tool a lot! At this point I knew it wasn't going to fit on the layout itself, so I cut it down in to strips that would go in a pocket. So that made my decision of how I would get it all in there. Then to make the pocket.
I grabbed two other papers from the kit, it wasn't easy lol, I love them all. I punched a scalloped border out of the pretty pink one and cut a strip of that pretty, smaller floral. I made sure it was big enough to almost completely cover my journaling, than I pulled out my sewing machine and sewed it to my layout. I liked this better anyways, it added more color to the bottom of my layout and gave me a place to put all the journaling I had done. Once I had sewed my pocket down I slid my journaling in and moved on to adding my title and pretty things.
I knew what my title was going to be before I even started the layout. It is private, my daughter will read about it later in her life, but My Unicorn definitely fit. I grabbed the embellishments I had pulled previously and started laying them here and there on my layout, until I got the combo or look I wanted. Making sure to do my little embellishment triangle. I tucked tags and florals here and there, making it look pretty. But my biggest thought was getting down her story. So she could go back when she was older and read the things that happened through my pregnancy with her and read how happy I was she was there. Do any of you avoid journaling on your layouts? Do you hid it like I did? Well I would love to see how you do yours. And make sure to head over to the Clique kits shop and check out the past kits and all the lovely new ones that are there too! Happy scraping!
