Cute Girl Obsessed | Guest designer for Shimelle

Hey everyone! I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this! And then I kind of freaked out cause I didn't know what I was going to do. Just being honest, lol. But a few days later I walked in to see my daughter playing on her floor with her ponies, dinos and cute little dino blanket on her head and snapped a few pics and thought this was perfect!
I scrapbook a lot of pictures and they always mean something to me, even if it doesn't look like it to others. But this, this was a shot of my little girl, being completely herself and loving every minute of it. I want to make sure to collect all of these moments because she's growing up and doing it fast and I don't want to forget any of it. Ok, ok now to putting my layout together.... I decided in the beginning how I wanted to have my photos clustered together, so I added some adhesive and stuck them together and figured I would figure out the rest as I went. I knew she was looking to the left in all three of them so I knew I wanted my pictures to be on the right side of the layout, then came the little bit of mixed media on the background. I pulled two of my Fun stampers' journey liquid color and splattered them around, hit it with my heat gun, cause I'm impatient and kept moving.
I pulled out my little bin where I keep all my scraps and particley used 6x6 paper pads and started pulling the colors I had decided to use. I have a love for the colors teal, pink and yellow. I also threw in some black and white paper and small touches of gold. These are colors I love together but are also some of my daughters favorites lol, so it works out great for me.
I started pulling papers and tucking them behind my pictures, not even caring that they were from different collections or manufacturers, they looked good together and that's all that mattered to me. I love scrapping this way, it makes it easy for me. Once I had all the layers right where I wanted them, all stuck together, I added some foam adhesive to the back leaving a space to the upper left where I had decided to place a tag that slid down behind the pictures, a little note for my little miss when she gets older. I am not huge on journaling where it can be seen, I usually do it with a hidden journal spot or on the back of the layout, but I wanted to leave a little note for my daughter, something hidden for her, that let her know exactly how this moment made me feel and how I loved it.
After that, I pulled out my bin that holds a bunch of random ephemera pieces and chipboard pieces, pulled things in my color set and started tucking them here and there till I was happy. This always takes longer than I think it probably should, but I move things around sooooo much lol. I thought I was done at this point, I liked my layout and thought my daughter was front and center and pulled the focus, but I felt like my page was a but one sided, so I decided to grab some of my scrap paper stripsand add them to the far left edge and a few little strips at the bottom. I went back and grabbed some of my Bella Blvd puffy stickers and My Mind's eye enamel dots, tucked them here and there and I was finally happy with my layout and called it done.

Celebrate | Bramble Fox DT

Hi everyone!!! How's your monday going?? Well I am here today to share another layout with you using the Celebrate Perspextive, I also had some of the Hooray collection by Crate paper left over and thought they would be perfect paired together with this layout about my daughters birthday.
I went through the pieces I still had from Hooray and pulled everything I thought I might use, this way I knew what colors I was looking at. I wanted splatters or sprinkles as my daughter likes to call them, on her layout.
I stuck my pictures together with my tape runner, in a wonky photo strip. Then I started to tuck pieces of paper here and there, distressing the sides as I went.
I still had a few of the puffy stickers left and really they were too cute not to use so I popped the bear off to the left of the photos and the cute little cat over to the lower right. I slid a few tags in under the layers behind the photos so that my celebrate perspextive would have a good place to sit, nestled in next to the photos.
I knew that there was a little too much white space on the left side of the layout so I tucked bits and pieces over there too. Once I figured out where I wanted everything and before I stuck it all down, I grabbed a few of my distressed oxides and let my daughter help me make "sprinkles" as she calls them around the layout. Once those dired, I adhered everything down.
I love this Celebrate perspextive, for me, they work perfect as titles and then with the smaller bits they are perfect for embellishing pretty much anything! This one was another that as soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what picture it went with and that it would work perfectly! I added a few puffy stickers from the Hooray collection and a few enamel dots and that was it for this layout. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope you come back to see more of what I have fun making. Make sure to head over to the Bramble Fox site and check out all the new perspextives, stencils and dies. Everything is amazing! And check out the fox box too!

Scrappy Saturday- I love this girl/SpiegelmomScraps DT

Hello everyone!!
How excited are you that Christmas is only a few days away!!! My kiddos are so excited! lol Anyways.... This week I'm scraplifting the awesome Missy Whidden!
This is the layout of Missys that I decided to scraplift. I wanted to go a different way since I've been on a roll of scrapping circles lol. So I chose a grid. I will say that I did a lose scraplift of this layout lol.

I loved the Birthdays&Balloons sequin mix and Crate papers Cute Girl collection went great with it! I had already picked out my pictures of my niece, shes so pretty, but I swipped her snapchat pics to scrap lol.

I started my layout by pulling out some of my shimmerz that matched the colors in the sequins and in the paper collection and using the packaging technique  around my layout like Missy had.  Once I had the colors where I wanted them and let them dry, I added the machine stitching like she had.

I kept my grid loser then Missy did, but I knew I wanted it to cover more of the page, I was trying not to have so much white space. But after knowing where I wanted my pictures, I started my paper layering in the other two spaces and then behind my photos too.

I went in as I was adding the layers and added some little thread nests for some more texture and because Missy had added them.

After adding little puffy stickers here and there and the thread nests, I moved on to adding all the pretty shinies! Birthdays & Balloons sequin mix has so many colors and the shine on some of them are just different. I'm guessing its because some of them are see threw and some aren't, but I love the different shines they give!
Thanks so much for checking out this layout, and make sure to check out all the great layouts that all the other Sparklers made too and make sure to check out what Missy has made too!

My Love-Scrappy Saturday/SpieglMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone!! I'm  here this morning to share a new layout that I made for the SpiegelMomScraps DT, scraplifting Rachel Lowel. She had so many great layouts to chose from, but since we had more of a circle theme going this month I chose one of her layouts that had a circle on it too!

Here's the layout of Rachels that I chose to scraplift:

I thought this was a beautiful layout and so sweet. I had the same collection in my stash so I thought I would use it as well. So I grabbed it from my stash and set it to the side. I already had the photos I wanted to use pulled too. Me and my hubby out and about one night.

I chose to make my cut file larger then heres, I wanted it to cover more of the background. So I cut this, to me what looks like a target with little hearts on it and backed it with a light blue cardstock. Then I adheared it to the middle of my layout.

As soon as I got the cut file backed and stuck down, I started layering papers behind my photo strip. I know Rachel chose to use one photo, but I decided to change it a bit and use a photo strip I made on my phone. I layered in papers and even some packaging behind my photo. I kept my photo to the bottom left of the die cut, like Rachel had and started to layer in some stickers.

Rachel had placed her title off to the right hand side of the photo and I followed her lead. I pulled out some of my foam thickers and added my title to the right of my photo. At this point I wanted to embellish a little more so I pulled out my 12x12 chipboard ephemera sheet and added a few hears and a little banner piece that said for you my love.

I grabbed my sticker sheet that goes with this collection and added a few more heart stickers and then went to my sparkalies!
I used a mix of Unicorns&Rainbows and Roadtrips&Sunshine. I thought they mixed well together and matched the colors in this collection so well!! I hope you liked this layout and I hope you come back and see what else all the other ladies make too!!

scrappy Saturday-Fall nap time- SpiegleMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here to share with you another fall themed layout using some awesome sequins!

My youngest son is a goof to the max and when it started getting cool here this year, he curled up in a chair with his hat on and a few blankets and took a good long, snuggled up nap. He always loves the cool weather cause he likes to be all curled up in blanket and beanies! lol So that was the photo I decided to scrap. I pulled out some stuff from my stash and started to play.
So, some how I had managed to get a black squigle on the side of my cardstock and instead of tossing it or covering it up, I decided to add it in as part of the layout and added black outlining to the papers on the layout, I was happy with the way it turned out.

I added some different sized squares to the background and popped the picture and its photo mat up, to add a little dimension. I did the background with the larger pieces of paper, because I knew I wasnt going to add a ton to this layout. I started know where I wanted the focus to be and adding the large squares, still allowed me to have multiple colors and patterns showing the way I wanted. After I had the papers and photo where I wanted, I moved on to adding some embellishments.

I started by adding a tag to the left of the photo and then moved to the right of the photo and made a cluster there too. Since my son was napping in this picture, I went through Crate papers, Wonder collection and pulled embellishments that had to do with sleep. I added one that said Dream over to the right with a few other things, including a cork ampersand.
I added my title to the left of the photo and then started on a embellishment cluster. I started out with the little clock and layered in some tags and a cute little heart. I added a few word phrases from a Tim Holtz pack that I had and then pulled out my pretties! I pulled out Be true 2 you sequin mim and Shooting cork stars and went to town!! I placed them across the entire top of the layout and moved down to the bottom, thinning them out to one point at the end.
I absolutely love the way this layout turned out and I hope you enjoyed it too!!

Awesome little brother/SpiegelMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone! Sarah here this morning to share with you my take on a layout by Missy Whidden!
Oh my! I was quite intimidated by this one! I love to watch Missy scrap away on her youtube channel, but I definitely cant scrap like her! But I sure did have fun trying! This is the layout of Missy's that I chose to scrap lift:

I went for way different colors on my layout and well I guess theme too. This one is all boy!

I chose to use the Crate Paper, Cool kid and the Deck the Halls sequin pack, it went perfect with this collection!

I started by choosing the papers I wanted to punch my circles out of, added some glimmer mist with the packaging technique and then placed my circles down on my layout. I added the top and bottom strip too and then sewed them all down.

Then I moved on to embellishing. I added a pennant banner to the left of the photo, where Missy had had an arrow. Then I moved on to the right side where I added the title.

I matted my photo, added layers of vellum, I think Missy used tissue paper, but I didn't have any, so vellum worked for me! I added a frame to the right of the photo and then added 3D adhesive to the rest for it all to be popped up and then placed it down. I grabbed my thread and made two thread nests and placed them to the upper left of the photo and then down behind my title. Then I grabbed my sequins and had fun playing with them, adding them here and there around my layout.
I hope you enjoyed my layout. I think Missy is amazing and I love her work! Thanks for coming by and checking  out what I did today and I hope you come back and check out all the fun stuff that's coming in August too!! So much fun to come!!

You+Me Happy-Trendy Tuesday/Spieglemomscraps DT

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here this morning and I have a new layout to share with you all! So this week is stitching week here at Spiegelmomscraps, so of course I'm going to have stitching on my layout, but I've also noticed a big trend of layouts with circles on them. So thats what I did this week.

I grabbed Crate papers Hello Love collection, pulled out some of the papers I wanted to play with and of course went with the Fairy Garden sequins from the shop.

I laid my circles where I wanted them across my layout on a diagonal and decided I would cut my picture in one too. I have seen it all over and havent cut my pictures into shapes in forever, so I thought I would go all in and do it with this layout. I stuck my circles down and instead of adding a mat behind my photo, I pulled out my water color paints and painted a black circle that would show from behind the photo. once it dried I  added some 3D foam adhesive to pop it up and stuck it down.

I pulled out my ephemera pack, stickers and some of the chipboard sheet and started to play. I added a few flowers pocking out from behind my picture. Then I went trough and pulled different hearts and some arrows here and there.

I had all my papers down and started stitching around my circles in different colored embroidery thread. I love the texture it added to the layout! I have sewn on a few layouts in the past but this made me want to do it even more!!
After I finished my stitching, I added in all the chipboard and stickers and started adding my oh so pretty sequins. To finish the layout, I grabbed my water colors that I already had out and started splattering in different colors.

I hope you liked this layout and I hope you will join in on the fun this week and stitch on a layout with us!! And make sure to use this code and head over to the Spiegelmomscraps shop and grab you some pretties too!

Trendy Tuesday-My Girl/SpiegleMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone!!! I hope your having an amazing 4th of July with your friends and family!! Sarah here this morning with my 1st trendy Tuesday post and as you  have probably heard this weeks theme is emojis!!!
I love emojis, they are just so cute! And my kids know what they are and love to draw them and the oder ones sending me different ones on their phones lol.

I chose to use the Crate paper line, Cute girl for my layout this week. I love all the girly little things you can do with this collection, but with the way I did this layout there wasn't a lot of room for embellishing.
I went with a quite large emoji for my layout because I knew I wanted to make it itself a shaker pocket. I used one of the cut-files offered from SpiegleMomScraps this month, This is just one of the emojis that there are in the cut-file,But my emoji is how I started my page, other then having my photo already picked out, lol.

In my stash I have a bunch of stuff but I have like 3 boxes of clear sheets that were for over head projectors, I dont even know if they use those anymore, lol, but I have a bunch of them. So I cut my emoji out on my Silhouette and placed 2 behind the outer part and started sewing it on my sewing machine. I left a place open big enough for me to pour my Gotta Love Emojis sequin pack is and then finished sewing it up. I placed it on my page where I wanted it to the left because in the picture my daughter was looking in from the right.
After my big smiling emoji was down, I added a few strips of paper to the bottom of my layout and then went to layering papers behind my photo. I put my photo down and pulled out my embellishment pack, along with some of the sticker sheets and started to play a little. I have always loved that little doll from this collection and I thought this was a great layout to use it on! So I added her to the right side of my photo and then layered a few puffy flower stickers and some little hearts. I popped my title under the picture. Then I decided to add a few little banner pieces  and a few hearts to the top left of my layout and a few little word stickers  and more little hearts to the bottom left and was done.
I hope you enjoyed the layout I made today, I loved playing with the emojis and I hope you play along too!! Happy 4th to everyone again!!

Sketch it out Saturday/Love you SpieglemomDT

Hello everyone!! I hope your weekend is going good, like I said in my last post, we started out with some bad weather and LOTS of rain! But it looks way better today, so thats a plus!
This morning I'm here to share with you a sketch from Pagemaps
that I used for my layout and our theme this month is the 80's and 90's, Now with this layout I used a color pallet to go with the theme. I remember when I was a kid, we always had this furniture that was tan, brown, yellow and little pops of other colors. So I found this collection by Crate paper in my stash and and thought that it matched perfectly with the sequin set, Just beachin it.

Now when it came to the sketch I changed a few things, but not much. I had this picture of my hubby and our youngest and I loved the way the photo and frame were set up in the sketch that I loved, I know my picture was a bit bigger and the way the frame when on the picture it pulled more focus to that part and I loved that.

I I wanted a decorative circle where there was the pie type one on the layout, but I wanted it to be a bit more soft, so I added this cutfile. I backed some of the spaces on the cut file and left the center open because I knew I wanted to add the pretty sequins to the center.

I added more embellishments then the sketch showed, I wanted more flowers and butterflies so I layered them under the frame and on the frame, it added just a little more color and dimension.

I didn't want a solid boarder around the side, So I took all of my scraps and added a tabs in here and there and a cork butterfly, placed them where I wanted around the side and then sewed them down. I went back and added more of the cute sequins around the layout and that was it.
Id love to see what you create with this sketch! And if youd like a bit of a discount when you go get you some goodies from Spieglemom make sure to use this code.

Awesome dude / Creative Scrappers Sketch #307

Hey all! Sarah here this morning to share with you my take on Sketch #307

This sketch was fun for me. I did go through and do a few things different, like only doing 2 photos instead of 3,I went a little bigger with some of the strips and instead of just strips I decided to add some cut-files and back them with some great paper from Crate papers, Cool kid collection.

I did a large, blocked area like in the sketch, behind my photos. I only had 2 photos that I wanted to use so I went through my ephemera pack for this collection and the chipboard sheet and pulled things out that I wanted to use. I liked the goofy Wild thing tag, with my boy and me being goofy and him having his little Mohawk, I thought it was appropriate lol. So thats where I started. Then I moved on to backing my cut-files and laying them down where I wanted them. I wanted to add some more dimension, so I popped the orange cut-file strip up on 3D adhesive. Then I moved on to adding my embellishments.

All those little things I had collected in the beginning, I started playing with and layering them where it showed the clusters in the sketch, But instead of different sized stars, I used the cool chipboard camera and some little ephemera pieces and then added a few of the little sequin stars from the collection.

My little guy isn't so little anymore, so I wanted to add this ruler as on of the strips, kind of marking the fact that hes growing up and getting bigger. Then I popped down my little, Awesome dude title and a few more sequin stars around and was done. I was surprised at myself, not using splatters anywhere, but I thought it might just be to busy with them. lol.
I hope you play along with us and have fun with it!

Sketch it out Saturday- Rad Dude

Good morning everyone!! I'm here this morning to share with you a new layout I made using some pretty sequins and awesome little corkys!
Here is the sketch I used for this layout, this is another old one I had drawn up, hope you like playing with it!

This month were sticking in with the theme of the 80's & 90's. So today I using my title to go along with the theme. Thus the Rad Dude! lol.

When we were kids we use to say Rad all the time, lol, I feel like I'm making myself sound old lol. But I was a kid in the 90's and I use to love saying rad!
I grabbed my Crate paper, Cool kid collection, (its been sitting in my stash and I haven't touched it yet, well untf my layout I started layering behind my photo. And then it was to my Silhouette I went. I cut out my title and some fun little star circles and a line of them to layer around.il now!) Then I grabbed some Bazzil cardstock from the Spiegelmom store and started cutting away at my papers. I knew I wanted to fallow the layout pretty close or possibly to a T. So I chose my paper for the bottom and cut it down, and decided I wanted the top strip to be the same, so I cut that down too and put them in place.

I did all my cut-files on white cardstock too, so that I could water color them like I did my title or back them with colorful and patterned papers. With my title I sprayed it down with water and grabbed my water color pallet and started adding black watercolor to the letters. I sprayed it here and there and dabbed it to get the effect I wanted, a little wore look.

I put my title where I wanted it, to the right of the photo and started playing with the embellishments! I started layering some of the cardstock stickers, tags and my cut-files. I got some great washi from the shop too, He Zhi Color tape. I added a strip of that in a orange-red color and then added a cardstock sticker over it.

And then it was for Sequins and Cork!!! I love these colors and the texture that the sequins and cork add to a layout!
I added a bunch of the little shooting cork stars and then broke into my Neon Summer and Gotta love Emojis sequins. I used the bright orange sequins from Neon Summer and the black sequins from the Gotta love Emojis. After that I added a little black watercolor splatters and my layout was done!
I hope you liked this layout and I hope to see you play along with the sketch too!! Remember to tag us on instagram so we can see what you create!!
