Cute Girl Obsessed | Guest designer for Shimelle

Hey everyone! I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this! And then I kind of freaked out cause I didn't know what I was going to do. Just being honest, lol. But a few days later I walked in to see my daughter playing on her floor with her ponies, dinos and cute little dino blanket on her head and snapped a few pics and thought this was perfect!
I scrapbook a lot of pictures and they always mean something to me, even if it doesn't look like it to others. But this, this was a shot of my little girl, being completely herself and loving every minute of it. I want to make sure to collect all of these moments because she's growing up and doing it fast and I don't want to forget any of it. Ok, ok now to putting my layout together.... I decided in the beginning how I wanted to have my photos clustered together, so I added some adhesive and stuck them together and figured I would figure out the rest as I went. I knew she was looking to the left in all three of them so I knew I wanted my pictures to be on the right side of the layout, then came the little bit of mixed media on the background. I pulled two of my Fun stampers' journey liquid color and splattered them around, hit it with my heat gun, cause I'm impatient and kept moving.
I pulled out my little bin where I keep all my scraps and particley used 6x6 paper pads and started pulling the colors I had decided to use. I have a love for the colors teal, pink and yellow. I also threw in some black and white paper and small touches of gold. These are colors I love together but are also some of my daughters favorites lol, so it works out great for me.
I started pulling papers and tucking them behind my pictures, not even caring that they were from different collections or manufacturers, they looked good together and that's all that mattered to me. I love scrapping this way, it makes it easy for me. Once I had all the layers right where I wanted them, all stuck together, I added some foam adhesive to the back leaving a space to the upper left where I had decided to place a tag that slid down behind the pictures, a little note for my little miss when she gets older. I am not huge on journaling where it can be seen, I usually do it with a hidden journal spot or on the back of the layout, but I wanted to leave a little note for my daughter, something hidden for her, that let her know exactly how this moment made me feel and how I loved it.
After that, I pulled out my bin that holds a bunch of random ephemera pieces and chipboard pieces, pulled things in my color set and started tucking them here and there till I was happy. This always takes longer than I think it probably should, but I move things around sooooo much lol. I thought I was done at this point, I liked my layout and thought my daughter was front and center and pulled the focus, but I felt like my page was a but one sided, so I decided to grab some of my scrap paper stripsand add them to the far left edge and a few little strips at the bottom. I went back and grabbed some of my Bella Blvd puffy stickers and My Mind's eye enamel dots, tucked them here and there and I was finally happy with my layout and called it done.

Live out Loud | Bramble Fox CT

Hello everyone! Hows did your week go? Well it was a stressful one for me, but it got better Thursday and I finally got some mojo to do some scrapping. I played with some of the new perspextives from the June Fox Box. I chose the beautiful Live out Loud perspextive. It went perfect with the Heidi Swapp, Sun Chaser collection.
I pulled the dark paper with hand script on it, and the white with black dots along with my white acrylic paint. I used my silicone brush and dry brushed some white behind where I was putting the white with black dot paper. Really didn't even let it dry lol. I am impatient. I adhered my white dotted paper down and pulled a few scrap strips I had on my desk, they look like rainbow colors and added them to the top and bottom of the dotted paper.
I pulled my perspextive out and set it where I wanted it and chose where I was going to put my photo. I had actually started with the photo and backed it with a few layers of patterned papers. Added some vellum and popped it up on some dimensional adhesive, then added another card behind it so that I could slide my tag in.
Once i knew where I wanted the picture and the title, I started to place everything else. I pulled a tag and put it partially behind my title, I left some of it hanging out so that I would have somewhere else to add embellishments. I added a few ephemera pieces to the top of the white dotted page and then to the bottom right side of it as well. I popped little pieces here and there, ruffed them up with my nails and then decided to finish it off with some white watered down splatters. I did my journaling off camera and slid my tag into place and called it good. I also have a process video up on youtube to go along with this layout. I havent done a video in years, so gettting back on track, fingers crossed! Hope you enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc1_TUM_Z90Uy97kvXIPJwA

SnapShot | BrambleFox DT

Hey everyone! How is your friday going? Anyone scrapping this weekend? Well I got to do a little scrapbooking this week and I chose a picture from my adventure climbing a mountain and I thought the Snapshot perspextive worked great for it.
I pulled out my Heidi Swapp Color fresh collection and pulled some papers that I liked, along with a bold black and white strip from my stash. I knew I wanted the black and white on the top so that there was quite a bit of contrast when I added in color form the other papers, so I started there. Once I had that portion down I started layering papers behind my photo.
I added a few layers, roughing up the edges to add some more texture and then popped it up on some dimensional foam. I was happy with it at this point and wanted to see what else I wanted to do with the layout. I had laid my title, the perspextive SnapShot, on my layout to decide where I wanted it and then added thing from there. I knew I wanted a little more color on the bottom, so I added a corner out of some of the same paper I had layered behind my photo.
I decided that I wanted to add a brighter pop of color to the layout too so I grabbed some of the electric yellow paper from the collection and added a tag made out of it, behind my photo and finally adhered it down along with the SnapShot perspextive. Now I wanted to add some more embellishments! So, I pulled out the ephemera from the collection and found that vellum circle and loved it so I added that, a few arrows and florals from the collection and then realized that the Triangles and Tabs from Bramble would work great too, So I added a few of the green x or crosses and then a great blue tab at the top. I pulled a few word stickers that went with my layout and used them and printer out my journaling and was done. I hope you enjoyed this layout!

No Regrets | Bramble Fox CT

Good morning everyone!! I am having fun playing with perspextives from the May Fox box. This time I chose to use the No Regrets perspextive. I had decided to climb a mountain a while back, glad I did it them, I got sick shortly after lol. I had been wanting to do this forever! But never managed to be able to. I am not going to lie, it was a little more than I bargained for lol. But I made it to the top and it was amazing! I will be doing it again! But for this layout I only used one of the photos I took while climbing, and actually this was at the very top. Spent a little time up there taking pictures and just taking it all in. I loved it! I thought that the no regrets went perfect with this!
I had grabbed the new Heidi Swapp collection Sun Chaser from my stash and pulled out a sheet that had these wonky circles all over it and decided to cut them out and ruff them up and place them on the white cardstock. This made the background busy enough that I really didn't need to add a ton more to it. So I moved on to my photo itself.
I added 2 different layers behind my photo. I knew that I wanted a area that I could place a tag to have my journaling about the experience. So in between the layers I made sure to tape off a section big enough for my tag to slid into.
At this point I wanted to add my title and that was this beautiful perspextive, No Regrets. I added it to the bottom of my photo, off to the right. But I knew I wanted a little more, but not to much, since the background was so busy. I pulled out the sticker sheet from the collection and found a few that I fet went well with this picture and added those, along with a few label stickers and then I grabbed a stamp and stamped a few things. At this point I thought it would be a good idea to add that cute little camera perspextive that said smile and place it all the way down at the bottom. That was it for this layout for me. I like the way it turned out and I feel like these went so well with the idea I had in mind! Make sure to check out the new items in the shop and check out the Fox box too!

Loved / 12x12 LO Stash Scrapping

Hello everyone!
Today I thought I'd share a layout with you that I created a while back. I'm just now getting the bloom collection, yes I know, so late to the game here!! lol But I still love it and all the pretty little pieces!

If you follow me on instagram, facebook or here on my blog, you might know I recently had a baby. I didn't think I would share some of the layouts that I created because they were quite personal. But having a baby is personal and not always completely...covered I guess, lol so some I wont scrap/share lol, but I thought this one was ok to share and I love this picture! One of my favorites from that day.
The day I had her was so CRAZY, I was actually at the hospital 2 times that day and finally had her. My mom got to be there and thats who you see in the picture with me, so I have three lovely generations here. It was amazing.

Ok so back to the layout, lol. I started with a cut-file with this layout. I dont usually do that, I usually have papers or a collection or a group of things in mind but I found this cute little deer and it had little hearts on it. I know I wanted to scrap this picture and that deer was to precious so in my mind it was perfect.
I pulled out my bloom collection and backed my little dear, placed it on a white background and started my layering behind my photo, adding a gorgeous doily from Pretty little studio. I did a little fussy cutting for those flowers, they were begging to be fussy cut!

I wasnt happy with the layout on just the white background, I wanted more color but for it to be kept simple still so I trimmed it down and put the pink and white plaid behind it and was happy with the pop of color and drawing more of the pink out. I added few of the chipboard pieces and pulled out my gold glittered word thickers and finished it off with a little bit of gold color shine.

Hello / 12x12 layout

Good morning everyone!!

This is my newest little one here. Shes cuddling with my hubby, pre-hair cut lol, and I thought it was sweet that she just kept staring up at him. So I wanted to capture that. She would just sit there and stare at him, still dose now that shes a few months old, but now she jabbers more and simles, LOVE that!! lol.

Well I used my September Hip kit to make this layout. I had made it when I was still on the design team, but never shared it. I was in my craft room cleaning up and found it, so I thought Id share it. I love the nice soft colors that are mixed in with the new Maggie Holmes Gather collection, but I also like the yellow and blues!
Here are a few close ups for you to check out!

My loot Crate baby/ 12x12 scrapping my stash

Hey everyone! I am out running around today but I wanted to share a layout I created playing with stuff that's been in my stash for a few years.

Me and my hubby are our own kind of nerds lol and proud of it! Well he started getting his loot crates last year and loves them!! They always come with cool shirts, sometimes socks, collectabl toys and all kinds of stuff. It made him really happy when this showed up on our door step, I guess it's his equivalent to me getting my scrappy mail lol so I decided I wanted to document it.

I had fun playing with the cut files and mix of patterned papers. Ashley Horton created this cut file for Hip Kit Club for the month of August2016. And this was another layout that I created playing along with some of the prompts from a Victoria Marie online crop.

I really did like the fact that I dove into my stash with this one and used old Crate paper, old I believe American crafts paper, some Basic Grey and Pink Paislee Memorandum. I really did have fun. I definitely say you need to join the Victoria Marie facebook group, everyone is amazing there, lots of crafty talk, fun and goofyness and just plain fun!!

Well thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back to see more!

Here Sleeps a girl / Pretty Little Studio DT

Morning everyone! Hope your week went well!
Our family has been going threw some pretty ruff stuff this past week, unfortunately we had a death in the family and to make it worse it was a very young little one. Its always ruff with a death in the family but when a child passes away its even harder.  All I want to do right now is hold my children close and love them.

Today I decided to scrapbook a little moment, nothing big, just a picture of my daughter from when she fell asleep on the couch, but I think those moments are just as important.
I used the Pretty Please, Here comes the sun collection by Marie-Pierre Capistran. I love how bright and fun this collection is but also how it can be used for softer layouts.

I started this layout with my picture and my title and this collection was the 1st thing to pop in my head for this layout. My title reads, Here sleeps a girl with a head full of magical dreams, a heart full of wonder and hands that will shape the world. I found that quote on pinterest, I love looking for titles there. I layered some of the journaling cards under my picture and added some other layers of the beautiful patterned papers and I just had to use the fluffy little clouds, I kinda have a thing for them right now! lol I also used some of the vellum tape, with a little sewing to make sure that later down the road, nothing comes off.

I added some paper strips to the right side of there 12x12 background and sewed on them as well to add some more texture. I popped a few clouds up and a few hearts and added some Heidi Swapp color shine, Gold Lame and that was it.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope you come back to check out more of what I make. If you don't want to miss anything that I post feel free to subscribe to my blog.

So happy together 12x12 / Hip Kit Club CT

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing a layout that I created with July 2016 Hip Kits. This week my assignment was focus on photos. Like a lot of other people , I usually only scrap one picture on a layout, but this week I scrapped 4 pictures. They may be smaller pictures but there are still 4 of them, lol.

I also kept the focus on the middle of the page, centered everything there and I really am happy with the way it turned out. I started out with a piece of American Crafts white card stock from the cardstock kit, grabbed my gold Heidi Shine and splattered it up the middle of the page. I grabbed my Main kit and pulled out Paige Evans, Pink Paislee polk a dot paper along with a hip kit exclusive paper created by DT member Kim Watson, The Happy Life-Omber Sky. I layered the two behind my photo and started to layer the embellishments and cut files.

I had cut out some of the pretty heart cutfiles that DT member Ashley Horton had created for July. I layered those to the right and right bottom of my photos. I grabbed my embellishment kit and pulled out a bunch of the Hip kit exclusives created by Kim Watson. The little tags, circles, tabs, sayings all came from the ephemera pack, then I layered some of the puffy stickers and the project life gold rub ons.

I finished by adding that great flair badge with the camera on it and splattering a little bit of blue water color paint over everything in the center.

I really hope you like this layout and I hope you come back to see more of what I make. If you don't want to miss anything feel free to follow or subscribe to my blog and then you wont miss anything!

Both of us 12x12 layout / Pretty Little Studios

Good morning everyone.
I'm sharing a layout created with Pretty Little Studios You&Me collection. Its suppose to be a valentines line but can be used for so much more.

This is a layout that is special to me and was also created as a gift for my sister. This layout is my Grandma, a very beautiful woman that we lost earlier this year to cancer. She was an amazing woman and I was so happy to get to spend time with her and let her get to know my kids and just have her in my life.
This layout is actually of her and my sisters daughter and I thought it would be a nice memory for her to keep, I'm the scrappy one, so I thought I'd make it and put it in a frame for her so she can put it on her wall and see whenever she wants and so can her daughter.

I love this collection and how you can do so much with it. I added some triangles to the top left of my layout and the bottom right then sewed them down. After I had those down I started layering papers behind my photo. I added a doily and went in to the pretty cut-aparts and stickers to start my embellishing. I love the die-cut clouds, there so pretty. I grabbed my baby Chris wood alpha stickers and made my title but I wasn't quite happy with the look of it so I grabbed my American Crafts metallic gold pen and colored over then, I was happy with it then. I finished my layout off with some Heidi-shine and some water color splashes and a bit more sewing.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and thank you for stopping by my blog! If you don't want to miss anything make sure to add me to your circle or follow me. Thanks!!

Outdoor fun with Daddy / PLS pinsperation

Hey everyone! Tonight Im sharing a layout I created for Pretty Little Studios design team. Tonight I'm playing with the Pinterest inspiration mood board.

I used mostly the woodsy elements of the mood board. I even took inspiration from the tree branches for my background. I grabbed some distress in and a stencil and made some light leafs on the background. I also used some Heidi Swapp color shine in gold from some little splatters. After that I dove into the Woodland Collection and started layering!!

I used a cut file from the Cut Shoppe to start out my base for the layering on this layout. I grabbed my photo and matted it on some American Crafts white card stock and then started the layering of the Woodland papers.

When I was done with the layering behind my picture I thought it was to much on one side and I knew I didnt want my title over there too so I started on my title area and then adhered that to the opposite side. Then it was time to play with the embellishments!!

I layered some tags with the word stickers and the die cuts, I LOVE that butterfly!! Oh so pretty!! I layered in some tabs, vellum tape and I even made an epoxy flair.
I had fun with this layout and hope you enjoyed it too!!

Oh Snap

I was in my scrappy room a while back and decided I was going to put my kits up and play with my stash, since I hadn't done that in a while and my pretty stash was just sitting there. So I grabbed a picture, I don't scrap chronologically, so I grabbed this picture of my oldest son from this spring when we went on a weekend trip to my in-laws.
We all love going up there and hanging out. It takes a few hours to get there but everyone is always glad to be there. The kids love that they get to be out in the middle of nowhere and my oldest loves to ride the four wheelers!

I decided I wasn't going to go with my plain white background like I usually do, trying to break out of that, but we will see. lol so I grabbed my American Crafts light kraft card stock and dove into my stash to pick patterned papers. I found in my 6x6 paper pads that I had a We R Memory Keepers, notable paper pad. I loved the colors and hadn't touched it yet so I pulled it.
I rooted threw some of my ephemera drawers and ended up pulling things from Pink Paislee, Pink Fresh Studio, Crate paper wonder, Basic Grey, Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp and Amy Tan. I think thats all...

I guess I was kind of procrastinating cause I turned on my silhouette design studio and started scrolling threw my cut-files and I was glad that I did, I found this one that Kim Watson had made, it was actually only the one, but I manipulated it and combined  a few of them in different sizes. Once it was cut I started putting pieces of patterned paper in different places that I liked and backed my photo. Then I adhered it all down and went to embellishing!

I combined so many collections, it makes me happy when I can do that, the old and the new combined and they look good together to me.

Oh I also used a Hip Kit club exclusive flair button on this layout. I had fun with this layout and am hoping to dig into my stash more and more, I need to so all those pretties aren't just sitting there anymore!!
Thanks for stopping by to check this out!

Hip Kit Club / Captured / Creative with cards

I'm not big on journanling on my layout. One, I don't like my handwriting really and two, I don't always like to share what I'm writing. So a lot of the time I'll write on the back of the layout, then I'm not so ify about my handwriting messing up the layout, thats how I see it sometimes, or I don't journal at all. Do some of yall feel this way or do this too?

I love this month kits, they are amazing!!! You can go soft and light like I did here or you can go bold and bright, which I did on another layout that I'll share later. I made this layout in honor of Friendship week, so heres me and my goofy best friend! lol
I used +AmericanCrafts  white cardstock and the White vellum from the Cardstock kit,  I used the white for the base and my vellum behind my photos, then I grabbed that beautiful Maggie Holmes, Bloom, Flutter paper from the main kit and this was really the only patterned paper I used on this layout, lol.
I fussy cut quite a few of the pretty little butterflies out, I knew when I saw it the 1st time I was going to do that lol, they're just to pretty! I grabber that Heidi Swapp frame from the Embellishment kit because the light pink matched well with the butterflies. It also gave me a good way to keep a vertical line going on my layout like I wanted.

Like I was saying in the beginning, I want to journal on my layouts a lot of the time but don't like my handwriting or I don't want to share what I'm writing, well lucky for me I got the Project life kit, with the amazing exclusive project life cards created by DT member Kim Watson. So I decided to get a little creative with the project life cards, keep the vertical line going and cover my journaling in a pretty way. Not only that but I also got to play with another pretty card Kim made, but I cut the butterfly out, did my journaling and layered it with a few of the butterflies I had cut out.

I know I shared my journaling here a bit but this is a great way to have your journaling on your page but keep it hid and hide it pretty. lol
Well to finish off my layout I wanted to add some of the other side of the Bloom paper, flutter, the wood grain, love it by the way. I wanted to add a little texture to the page but keep it soft so I cut 1x1 and 1/2 inch squares out and placed them along the side of the layout and then sewed them down and ruffled them up a bit. I added the acetate Pinkfresh Studio word form the Main kit, sewed it too, then added some of the pretty yellow coloringz by Shimmerz, No yolking, from the Color Kit and that was the end of it.

I would love for you to come back and check out my blog again and make sure to head over to Hip Kit Clubs face book page and blog to check out whats going on there!
