Get Happy | Clique Kits International

Hello everyone!! I hope your having a fantastic morning!! Last week was crazy for me, so I'm hoping that with this week, things might calm down a bit. And to start that for me, I decided to do a little scrapping!
I had the Sunkissed Sampler kit along with the Sunkissed Modern Documenter kit sitting here and with all these bright colors and fun pieces, I wanted to play with it so bad. So I pulled it out and started to play. I wanted this picture of my daughter playing on a slip-n-slide to be the center. So I started building from there. I took the strips from a few of the papers in the kit and cut them down so they would look like rainbow streams coming out from under the picture, ruffed up the edges to add texture to the page.
I backed my photo with some white tissue paper, a few of the cards from the documenter set and then popped it up on some 3d adhesive.
I pulled out all the pretties(AKA the ephemera packs and stickers) and started going threw them. I have to be honest, this took me way to much time, but I love to look and play with all the pieces. Anyways, once I decided what I wanted to do I started placing flowers on the paper that matched. I popped in a cloud, since I had went with a rainbow theme under my photo. I slid a tab to the top of my photo. I felt like it needed a bit more so, I grabbed the pretty cloud paper from the kit and cut a strip of it too, ruffing up the edges like the other papers and popped a few ephemera pieces there too.
I kept looking at the layout, thinking it needs something else. So I went on the hunt. I pulled out my Amy Tangerine Brave and Bold watercolor set and decided to use a few of the blues to add some splattering and a little bit of a water touch to the layout, since my daughter was playing in a slip-n-slide in the photo. Once I finished that I finally taped everything down and my layout was done. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I would love to see what you create with these kits too!! I love it when the coffee kicks in....| Clique Kits International

Good morning everyone! I wanted to share a fun layout that I made with the beautiful September Song kit. I wanted to play with a patterned backgound again, I keep trying to branch out lol. I had made a cut file so I could use it on the background for my title, but accidents happen. Well really, my daughters saw it and decided to color on it. So instead of making another one, I decided to use it as a stencil. I started this layout with the title, it being so big, I knew where I had space to put my photo and any embellishments that I wanted to add.
ILike I said, I used the cutfile as a stencil, just dabbed white paint over it. I figured it would show up pretty good on the background. I had to wait for that to dry, so I started to play with layers behind my photo. Just a good little pic I took on snapchat with my coffee. My my time in the mornings, before the kids get up, before school starts, before the crazy starts lol.
I chose some of the pretty bright colors from the patterned papers to add a pop behind the photo. Then I was like, hey this layout is about my coffee, so why not make a coffee cut to go with it. I sketched one out and cut if from different papers from the kit. I added a little sewing for texture and tucked it in under the side of my photo.
At this point my title was dry, I traced around it with a black pen thinking it might make it pop a little more. In person it doee. lol. Since the title was dry, I added a strip under the title for some seperation and to highlight it and then started to go through my ephemera and pull things I wanted to layer together. I added little bits here and there around the layout. A bit of yellow at the top and bottom. Really just because I liked the color and wanted to add it to my layout. And that was it, my fun little layout was done.
I hope you enjoyed me being a bit goofy with this layout. I had fun with it and I enjoy using goofy pictures as well. Mine, my kids and my pups lol. Come back and see what eles I have put together. I have a few other projects to share really soon, so I hope you come back by. Make sure to head over to Clique Kits and check out all the beautiful kits and all the amazing work the other ladies do. They are a great bunch and they all have so much talent! Clique Kits Products used: Base Kit: September Son kit: American Crafts Add on kit: September Son Solid Cardstock: American crafts

Sketch it out Saturday/ SMS DT Auntie on duty

Good morning everyone!!
So who is excited that this is a long weekend??!! (Hand in the air, jumping a little!!) lol And oh man, summer started here Friday, so a little more sleeping in and then running around with the kids! So much fun to come this summer!
Well this morning I'm here to share with you a layout and sketch that I crated.

I play around with making my own sketches off and on all the time. If i'm not in the mood to scrap or just cant actually get in to my scrappy room cause of other things going on, I'll pick up on paper pad and sketch here and there.

Ok, so yes I know this is a goofy picture of my youngest daughter. My sister had come to baby sit so I could get some things done one day and I came back to this. My daughter is really light haired, maybe strawberry blond, and you cant really see her eye brows very well, so my sister thought it would be funny to draw them on with eye liner and have her make faces lol.
Now back to the layout, lol. I started with picking the goofy pic of my daughter, and to be honest, I started with the bottom of my layout, this inst something I normally do. I had grabbed an Amy Tangerine collection, Better together, I wanted bright and playful just like the picture.

I did the strip across the bottom of the layout, added a cut-file I had set to the side, with others I just hadn't used yet. Then I jumped to the top of the layout and started layering my pattern paper strips there and I decided to add cut-file in there too.
I know in my sketch it shows circles cascading down the layout, but I decided to use squares, this was because I found a cute little cut apart sheet that I wanted to use, lol.
Then I started layering a frame and a larger ampersand behind my photo, along with a few acetate pieces.

I worked my way down the layout at this point and started to add the circle ephemera and the flowers to the bottom strip. I added my title about that and then my favorite part!! I pulled out my sequins and started to play!!
I used a mix of sequins on this layout, Jaded Hearts, Wild and Free and Gone with the Wind. These colors matched perfectly with this Amy Tan collection and I loved that I got to add a few little flower sequins in there!
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I made today and I hope to see you play along with this sketch and if youd like a little discount on some SpiegleMom goodies, use this code below when you check out in the shop!

Spin me right round / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!!!
So here is another layout that I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.
This kit is Awesome!! I mean there are plenty of pretty pattern papers in this kit to where I was able to make girly pages and look here a boy page to! lol

So this layout started with the picture, I decided I wanted to use a cut-file after I had went threw my remaining papers. So I went to my computer and opened up my Silhouette software, chose what I wanted to cut out and started it on a sheet of cardstock. Well for some crazy reason my Silhouette decided to shut off half way thew the cut and drag the blade across the cut-file!
I was mad at first. Not only did it mess up the cut-file but it cut threw my mat!!

Well as you see here, I decided I was going to use the cut-file anyways!! It didnt cut the whole thing, it was suppose to be a whole page but I decided I would work with what it gave me. So I used the negative pieces and sewed them to the other side of the layout and I'm happy with how it turned out.
I put the pretty light blue ledger as the backer behind the cut-file and started layering with all the other pretty papers in the kit. I even used one of the little glassin bags that came with some of my pretties in it, as one of the layers.

I added the title with those awesome Pink fresh Studio alphas, love the color! Added a few of the cute puffy stickers here and there, along with some other tabs and tags and that was it for this one.
This kit just keeps on giving!! I got my December kit the other day, dove into it and still keep playing with this one too!! lol Cant help it!

I hope you will come back and see what else I make and make sure to watch the Cocoa Daisy website for the December kits!! I promise you wont want to miss any of them!!

Fuled by Coffee / 12x12 layout Cocoa Daisy DT

Ok jumping right in today...
Over at Cocoa Daisy there was a challenge that involved sewing in a creative way or a way you don't normally. Well I sew with my machine all the time and I love it, I've sewn by hand only one other time, but I thought this layout, yep could do that and I totally love a challenge!!

I also LOVED this months cut files from CCD. I mean there about coffee!! lol I'm a coffee-aholic! So I played with that. Used two of the words in this months cut files, cuppa and coffee.I scaled them to different sizes and backed them. After I backed them all I used different stitches on my sewing machine and sewed right threw them all. I sewed the big coffee cup by hand after that, right in the center of the page and went from there.

I grabbed that cute DITL card that says, Caffeine loading please wait, from this months DITL kit, again a lot of coffee themed stuff and I am so loving it all!!*swoon* lol I added some layering behind my photo and a red circle behind both, added a little to the left side for some balance and that was it.

I so cant wait for the 25th of this month and if your a Gilmore Girls fan, you know why!!! 6 hours of commercial free Gilmore girls!!! Yay netflix!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what I had going, I have a fun thanksgiving inspired door hanger coming to my blog very soon, so stay tuned!!

So the adventure begins/ 12x12 layout Hip Kit DT

Hello everyone, Im sharing a layout today that I created for the Hip Kit Club Design team with the August 2016 kits and cut-files.

My kids have great minds and I love how they show it. My daughter is 3, we were helping my parents pack up their house and she commandeered this box. She drew on it some and then informed us that she was going to the zoo to see the giraffes, So I loved that that was in this months kit!! lol  Anyways, she also told us that she was going to the movies and to Alaska to visit her aunt and a few other places.

I cut the cut-file out on a piece of American Crafts white cardstock and added pop dots on the back of it after I had chose all the paper strips I wanted to use, a mix of Dear Lizzy, Amy tangerine and Crate paper all from the main kit. I used my water colors and painted some of the cool little flower cut-files and layered them with flowers ad stickers.

I'm working on my issues, but I dont like having my journaling on my layouts, not showing at least. So I made a little pocket up to the left of the photo and journaled on a tag and stuck it in there. It was either that or on the back and I was happy with it here, lol. I see so many people journal on there layouts and it looks fantastic and then I do it and its like, oh did she let her kid do the journaling for her? lol I mean I guess my handwriting isnt that bad but I'm working on it lol.

I hope you enjoyed my layout and I hope you come back and check out more of what I create! make sure to head over to the Hip Kit blog and check out what all those lovely ladies are coming up with and make sure to grab your kits while you can!!

12x12 So happy together / Hip Kit club CT

Good morning everyone! Its Friday so I'm really hoping its a good day! Weekend starting, sleeping in (hopefully!) and nice weather!
To kick off the weekend I thought I'd share a layout I created for Hip Kits this week using the July 2016 kits and  mood board as inspiration.

Design team member Ashley Horton created this pretty mood board and I took my inspiration from the water color block in the top right and the pretty confetti in the top left.

I started out by pulling a sheet of American Crafts White card stock from the card stock kit and cutting it down to an 8.5x11 and that was the starting base for my layout. I matted that on a piece of white vellum, also in the card stock kit.
After that I grabbed a few of the Hip kit exclusive patterned paper, created by design team member Kim Watson. These were from the Main kit but you can also buy the paper add on kit to get more, since they are exclusive. I also used the Illustrated Faith paper from the main kit as well.

I took my punches from my stash and started punching circles out of these papers to represent my confetti. But I didnt throw them down haphazardly, I kept them lined up, but in no particular order. When I had them where I liked them I put a little adhesive down to hold them in place till I sewed them down. I added bits from the exclusive ephemera pack from then embellishment kit and sewed the circles and words down.

I added these cute little houses since the layout was about one of my daughters and her daddy, cuddling up on the floor at grandmas to watch a movie, lol. But once I did that I added a frame to my picture, also from the ephemera pack and grabbed the Bella Blvd ciao chips for the title. I added a few gold rub ons from the project life phrase and icons set and sewed the 8.5x11 layout to the pretty water color looking paper as a background. And that was it, layout was done.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and hope you come back to see more of what I do. And make sure to check out the Hip kit website for all the beautiful kits, the blog for more inspiration, Instagram and the facebook member forum.

Oh and make sure to come back to see all the lovely sneak peeks of next months kits!!!

Oh Snap

I was in my scrappy room a while back and decided I was going to put my kits up and play with my stash, since I hadn't done that in a while and my pretty stash was just sitting there. So I grabbed a picture, I don't scrap chronologically, so I grabbed this picture of my oldest son from this spring when we went on a weekend trip to my in-laws.
We all love going up there and hanging out. It takes a few hours to get there but everyone is always glad to be there. The kids love that they get to be out in the middle of nowhere and my oldest loves to ride the four wheelers!

I decided I wasn't going to go with my plain white background like I usually do, trying to break out of that, but we will see. lol so I grabbed my American Crafts light kraft card stock and dove into my stash to pick patterned papers. I found in my 6x6 paper pads that I had a We R Memory Keepers, notable paper pad. I loved the colors and hadn't touched it yet so I pulled it.
I rooted threw some of my ephemera drawers and ended up pulling things from Pink Paislee, Pink Fresh Studio, Crate paper wonder, Basic Grey, Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp and Amy Tan. I think thats all...

I guess I was kind of procrastinating cause I turned on my silhouette design studio and started scrolling threw my cut-files and I was glad that I did, I found this one that Kim Watson had made, it was actually only the one, but I manipulated it and combined  a few of them in different sizes. Once it was cut I started putting pieces of patterned paper in different places that I liked and backed my photo. Then I adhered it all down and went to embellishing!

I combined so many collections, it makes me happy when I can do that, the old and the new combined and they look good together to me.

Oh I also used a Hip Kit club exclusive flair button on this layout. I had fun with this layout and am hoping to dig into my stash more and more, I need to so all those pretties aren't just sitting there anymore!!
Thanks for stopping by to check this out!

Hip Kit Club / Captured / Creative with cards

I'm not big on journanling on my layout. One, I don't like my handwriting really and two, I don't always like to share what I'm writing. So a lot of the time I'll write on the back of the layout, then I'm not so ify about my handwriting messing up the layout, thats how I see it sometimes, or I don't journal at all. Do some of yall feel this way or do this too?

I love this month kits, they are amazing!!! You can go soft and light like I did here or you can go bold and bright, which I did on another layout that I'll share later. I made this layout in honor of Friendship week, so heres me and my goofy best friend! lol
I used +AmericanCrafts  white cardstock and the White vellum from the Cardstock kit,  I used the white for the base and my vellum behind my photos, then I grabbed that beautiful Maggie Holmes, Bloom, Flutter paper from the main kit and this was really the only patterned paper I used on this layout, lol.
I fussy cut quite a few of the pretty little butterflies out, I knew when I saw it the 1st time I was going to do that lol, they're just to pretty! I grabber that Heidi Swapp frame from the Embellishment kit because the light pink matched well with the butterflies. It also gave me a good way to keep a vertical line going on my layout like I wanted.

Like I was saying in the beginning, I want to journal on my layouts a lot of the time but don't like my handwriting or I don't want to share what I'm writing, well lucky for me I got the Project life kit, with the amazing exclusive project life cards created by DT member Kim Watson. So I decided to get a little creative with the project life cards, keep the vertical line going and cover my journaling in a pretty way. Not only that but I also got to play with another pretty card Kim made, but I cut the butterfly out, did my journaling and layered it with a few of the butterflies I had cut out.

I know I shared my journaling here a bit but this is a great way to have your journaling on your page but keep it hid and hide it pretty. lol
Well to finish off my layout I wanted to add some of the other side of the Bloom paper, flutter, the wood grain, love it by the way. I wanted to add a little texture to the page but keep it soft so I cut 1x1 and 1/2 inch squares out and placed them along the side of the layout and then sewed them down and ruffled them up a bit. I added the acetate Pinkfresh Studio word form the Main kit, sewed it too, then added some of the pretty yellow coloringz by Shimmerz, No yolking, from the Color Kit and that was the end of it.

I would love for you to come back and check out my blog again and make sure to head over to Hip Kit Clubs face book page and blog to check out whats going on there!

Remember / Lets get sketchy Design Team

Good Morning and Happy Monday!!

This last week or a bit more have flown by!! Between kids being sick, me being sick and then Halloween and family stuff, everything seems to have flown by and I have barley got to scrap! I'm joansing!!

Well Im here to share a layout I did for Lets Get Sketchy and this month were doing things a bit different over there. There is a mood board and a sketch!! And I have to say, I'm loving this!! The colors are so great for this time of year, just perfect!

And this is the sketch for this week. Brenshevia did a fantastic job with this sketch too!!

So with the combination of the two, this layout came together without a problem and soooo fast!

This is my grandparents and the pictures aren't the best, ones a but to bright and the other a bit dark but I love them! So I decided to use these and I dipped into my stash and grabbed some of my old crate paper and some of my Amy tangerine Cut&Paste and just started layering. I stuck really close to the sketch this time because it seemed like it was perfect for these pictures. I used a Heidi Swapp, gold, glitter sticker for the title and some gold color shine as well.

Well thanks so much for stopping by my blog today to take a peek and I hope that you come back. You should head over the the Lets get sketchy blog and play along to!! There are always monthly prizes and great inspiration!!

Full of happiness today! / Hip Kit CT

Good morning everyone!!
I am here to share a layout with you that I made for the Hip Kit club Creative Team using the amazing Hip Kit Clubs October kits! I used a sketch for the inspiration of this layout, Ashley Horton created the sketch and the cut file you see on my layout.
When I saw the sketch I knew that I wanted to do a sewn circle, because one its on the sketch and I loved it and two because I love sewing on my layouts :) Well to do everything else on my layout I had to first choose a starting point, my starting point was the background and I chose this lovely Amy Tangerine paper from her finders keepers line. As I've said before, Im a fan of patterns, polka dots, stripes, florals, plaids....lol pretty much anything thats got a pretty pattern!

After I used the cut file, I added a a strip of the American crafts Fountain cardstock from the cardstock kit. I love the combo of the orangey/coral color mixed with the aqua/teal color.  I had pulled some of my fall pictures and decided I wanted to scrap these photos from our 1st "camping trip" last summer. All the kids were phsyced to do this, but I wanted to do a dry run and see how it was going to be since we had a one year old that had never been, so we grabbed all of our camping stuff and camped in the back yard, lol. It ended up being a really great night! All of the kids had a blast, including the youngest.

Here is the sketch created by Ashley Horton
If youd like to play along with us, please feel free to! You can go join the Hip Kit club facebook page and see the weekly challenges.

Now to embellish this layout I grabbed a bunch of the Pink Paislee, Cedar Lane embellishment in these kits! I grabbed some from the embellishment kit, Project life kit and the the Main kit
The Pink Paislee ephemera pack is beautiful with all of the cardstock pieces along with the acetate and gold foil pieces! ooohh! Love! And all the pretties went great with my layout! I tucked different pieces under the edges of my photos and around my title. And I cant get enough of those cute puffy stickers, I became a BIG fan of those fast! And I'm really happy that the shaped paper clips are back! All of these different things make great embellishment and make the pages pop!

Well thanks so much for coming by and checking out my layout and I hope that you head over to the Hip Kit Clubs facebook group and participate in the fun weekly challenges. And if you havent already, head over to the shop and check out the great kits, Novembers has so many amazing exclusive products that your sure to love!
