May memory planning/Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here today to share with you my 1st week in my May planner.
Usually I start my planner set up like most people do, I usually start the week before the new month, when I have what I'm working with early. Now, I had my stuff early this month, but only laid out my washi to start with and adding the pretty pattern papers to the right side of my planner. I cover that side most of the time because it doesn't always go with the months kit and I love to have the pretty patterns there!
I layered two washis this month, I had put down a black and whit stripped washi from my stash and then covered it with a darker green so that the stripes would show threw a bit after I had added the stripped paper to the right side. I cut that from one of my inserts that have the days of the week on it. I went in and added some of my little circle stickers to mark things that I knew had to be done and wanted to do. I did pull out my Simon stamps, that I soooo love!!, and stamped them on one of our nasty days. We lost internet that day to! It was horrible, lots of flooding around where we live.
I grabbed a DITL card from last months kit and put it in here to, it matched color wise, but I hadnt used it and got a kick out of the saying on it! I cut down one of the dashboards and put it threw my punch and popped it in my planner. I wanted the saying, I want to focus on a lot of positivity this month, its much needed! So I loved all the little saying in this months planner kit, it all went with just what I was needing in my life right now! On the back side of the dashboard I added some stamps from past months, my picture of our 1st snow cones of the year and that adorable little paper clip.
I added little bits of purple washi tape from my stash, I thought it went well with the colors in the kit. I added a picture of me and my hubby at a friends birthday party with a tab on it so I could add more underneath. I went threw and added more pictures from the week, things that had happened, even the picture that showed up on my phone when we lost internet.
I love having all the pretties to play with but there are weeks where I use more of them then on other spreads and I tell myself thats ok, some weeks may need more filler and then I have all the pretties to play with then. I also love that so many of items from the scrapbook kits and DITL kits can cross over to the planner kit and go together, it always adds more options to what you can do.
I hope you enjoyed this weeks spread in my memory planner and I hope that you will come back and see what else I make and make sure to go check out what all the other Daisies do too!! Make sure to check out the Cocoa Daisy challenge group  on Facebook too and play along with us there and you can always find more inspiration on my Instagram  and Cocoa Daisys Instagram page too!!

Jan18 Sweet Babe/Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone! How are you doing today?? We've made it to Thursday! The week is almost over!! Come on Friday!!

Well I thought I'd pop in really quick and share with you a layout I made last month with my December 2016 Cocoa daisy DT package.
There were so many pretty papers in this kit and the cut files you got were beautiful too! I was drawn to the embroidery hoop one and the pretty little floral element.

So I cut both of those cut files out, the floral quite a few times, then I decided to fussy cut out some of the pretty flowers from the Pink Paislee paper and started layering them around the embroidery hoop. I added a frame to a portion of the picture, just to add some color and then placed it behind the embroidery hoop.

I added some gold Heidi Swapp Color shine and a strip down the left side and was done. Another quick layout for this week. I think this one took we less than 45 min and thats with the fussy cutting counted in.

I love how it turned out. My youngest daughter is the main focus of the layout, just partially curled up sleeping, lol, she use to do that a lot, not so much anymore! lol, They grow so fast!

Thanks so much for coming by to check out my layout and I hope you come back again and see what else I come up with. If you dont want to miss anything, feel free to hit that follow button and you wont miss out on anything again! And make sure to head over to the Cocoa Daisy Blog and forums to see what else is going on over there!

Jan17 Designer challenge with Cocoa Daisy

Good morning everyone!! Are you up for a little challenge?? Well if so come and play along with us over at the Cocoa Daisy forums and the Cocoa Daisy challenge group! You have a chance to win a store gift card if you win!

So this month the challenge is centered around a mood board and oh man is it pretty, right?

I love the color combo for one, and those flowers are beautiful! I also love the water color look, ok ok its just all so pretty!! lol

This was what I created with that mood board in mind. I kept it soft, I kept it soft. I know there was some navy in the mood board along with some black, but I went with the lighter colors. This picture was just something sweet I caught. My oldest loves his little brothers and sisters, but he loves to sit and talk to the baby and thats what I caught here. So my oldest and my youngest, I just thought it was so sweet!

I used a heart cut file, tone on tone, so that it wasn't to distracting, but I loved the hearts in the background. I layered a little behind the photo and did some fussy cutting with those gorgeous flowers! I added a few little angled strips of the Cocoa Daisy exclusive papers across the bottom and top to frame it in some and add more color, but not to much, for me at least.
I added a few little embellishments here and there, some were punched out of one of the pink paislee papers and some from the exclusive. I added in a few of the floral sprigs and that was it for this one.

Jan16th DITL cards/Cocoa Daisy DT

Hello everyone! How was your weekend?? Mine was kind of busy. We had a house full of people because we were celebrating one of our daughters birthdays. It was fun and cute, but it made the weekend long!! lol Plus its a long weekend, so today I still have 6 little ones running around the house and all of them keep wanting cake all the time! lol

Well I thought I would share with y'all a layout and a 12x12 pocket page I created with my Cocoa Daisy January DT package. I love to play with DITL cards on my regular layouts, there great for layering and for blocking out layouts, grid designs and all.

So this 1st one I used 2 of the DITL cards and made a bit of a blocked out layout. All centered around the middle of the page.

For me, these are quite simple pages, fast. And sometimes thats all I have time for, lol. I started with the white background and places the picture where I wanted it and then placed the cards.

To start out with, if I'm not sure if I might want to change the layout around later, I put a little adhesive on the back of my cards and picture and then start building. I grabbed the pretty paper that looked like it had doilies on it and fussy cut a few of those out and placed them around the layout. I added a few of the gorgeous wood veneer that came in the kit and one of the exclusive cocoa daisy print and cuts on the layout.

I wanted more to it, it looked to plain, so I added some of the pink paislee rub ons and a little triangle up to the top left. I still wanted a bit more so I punched a few places on the edges of the layout and backed them with some of the exclusive, adorable, strawberry paper. and that was it. It went quite quick and I like that its a soft layout and that the picture stands out. It was just a cute moment between my husband and one of our daughter, watching a game on the phone.

This is my 1st DITL page that I have done this year. And it was for the 1st week of January. I print my pictures off every Monday for the week before, so I will have more. This one is really simple. We had a lot of family in and out after the holidays and little sick ones. So I did a bit of journaling about that week and added a few stickers from one of last months kits and a rub on here and there and called it done. Oh I added that little flair button on the outside of my pocket page so that it wouldn't be sticking up too.

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I have done so far this week and I hope you come back by to see what else I post. Make sure to head over the the Cocoa Daisy blog and check out what all the other lovely's are creating! And remember that there are also forums on the Cocoa Daisy site that you can participate in too, and a Cocoa Daisy challenge page on facebook, if your participate you can win a gift card for the shoe!! Cool right?!?!

December Memory Planning/Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone, Sarah here this morning to share my December Memory planning with you.
So far this month I have almost four weeks of my planner done and have done a bit of prep for the last few days of my forth week.

I laid out my 1st week starting with my pretty paper on the right side of my planner and boxing those off into there individual sections of the day. Then I moved onto my washi tape that separated the different sections of the day. To be honest I don't always use these different sections for the different times of day or anything, I use them how they suite me.
I added in my pictures where I knew I wanted them to go and then started in with my decorating and adding my appointments, activities and such for the week.

Each week is different for me. Sometimes I have more writing, whether its to keep up with appointment or to wright down things that have happened so that I don't forget. Like my second week of  December.

And then there are some weeks where I add more pictures, like here in my third week of the month and still have my appointment and journaling about things that have happened.

I'm still working on this week. With it being Christmas and so much going on, I haven't added a ton yet. I went in and preped my pages and added in what I already had printed out picture wise, added all of my appointments and as the week has gone on I have went in and added bits and pieces of journaling about things that have happened and embellished more.
I love to add pictures to my planner spreads, I've said this before, but I don't always take a picture each day, so I might go without one here or there. This week has been so busy that I haven't added but two photos and that's because I had them pre printed. This is also something I don't normally do. But I had pictures of all my favorite Christmas shows printed because I had added them to my list on Netflix and made sure the others were recorded on my TV, so I put those down the days I watched them.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my memory planning for this month and I hope to share more as I go on! Make sure to check out what all the other Cocoa Daisy girls are doing too!!

Cocoa Daisy designer challenge

Good afternoon everyone! Sorry I'm a bit late getting this up today but it has been CRAZY! lol
We have had so much running around going on and family going here and there and I don't expect it'll slow down till after Christmas, but thats ok with me. I'm just happy to have all this family around! What about y'all?? Lots going on there?

Well today I wanted to share a layout I created to play along with this months Cocoa Daisy designer challenge. Oh and a quick mention, Cocoa Daisy has now set up a new facebook page for the monthly challenges, it makes it a bit easier to play along, so we hope to see you over there! Here it is for you, Cocoa Daisy Challenge facebook page .

So this months challenge is to scrapbook your favorite memory from 2016. So this is what I scrapped about, This was our surprise in 2016.  And a fantastic one at that! We found out that we were pregnant with out 5th child and it was amazing.
These are the 1st ultrasound pics, we didnt get to get in to ultrasound until further in to the pregnancy but that was ok, we knew she was ok.

I used the main kit, moments, and some layers made with the DITL kit and a cut file from Ashley Hortons, The Cut Shoppe.

We would love for you to play along and let us see your creations over on the facebook page or even in the Cocoa Daisy forums on our site.
Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing what I had made today!

Cocoa Daisy December Sketch

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going good, were at the 1/2 way point and I'm ready for the weekend!! Its been rainy and gray out all week and I'm ready for it to be nice out so we can go do some of the fun Christmasy things that are going on around us.

On another note, today over on the Cocoa Daisy blog we have the Sketch challenge and when you join in and participate you have a chance to win some store credit!! And oh man is there some really great stuff in the store! So I hope you get a chance to play along with us!

Here is this months sketch, isn't it great?! I love the circle and the fact that there are multiple photos. For me its more of a challenge with the multiple photos, cause I usually end up using only one picture, but I really liked this sketch and wanted to go for it.

Here's my take on the sketch:

I flipped the sketch to go with what I wanted to do and I think it turned out pretty good. I used one of the exclusive Cocoa Daisy papers and ran it threw my Silhouette. That paper is just so pretty, I loves the fade from bight pink to the yellow-orange color. I layered some paper behind my 3 photos, along with some of the Take me away ephemera pack pieces.

I have an issue using dark card stock most of the time so I wanted to make sure to use it this month, so I ran a piece of it threw my Silhouette and cut this pretty floral wreath thing. lol.

I used some of the pretty metallic gold hearts and decided I wanted a little more of that gold around my layout and the sketch shows little dots here and there, so I punched a few little circles out of one of the hearts and placed them around the layout.

To finish off my layout I grabbed the take me away ephemera pack and did a bit of layering into a cluster and added one of the Cocoa Daisy exclusive die cuts. I stuck pretty close to the sketch and love the different ways that it can be used, I also know that I can use it again.
If you'd like to see some more awesome layouts made with this sketch head over to the Cocoa Daisy blog and see what some of the other design team members created with it! And remember to join in on the fun and get the chance to win some store credit!!

Spin me right round / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!!!
So here is another layout that I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.
This kit is Awesome!! I mean there are plenty of pretty pattern papers in this kit to where I was able to make girly pages and look here a boy page to! lol

So this layout started with the picture, I decided I wanted to use a cut-file after I had went threw my remaining papers. So I went to my computer and opened up my Silhouette software, chose what I wanted to cut out and started it on a sheet of cardstock. Well for some crazy reason my Silhouette decided to shut off half way thew the cut and drag the blade across the cut-file!
I was mad at first. Not only did it mess up the cut-file but it cut threw my mat!!

Well as you see here, I decided I was going to use the cut-file anyways!! It didnt cut the whole thing, it was suppose to be a whole page but I decided I would work with what it gave me. So I used the negative pieces and sewed them to the other side of the layout and I'm happy with how it turned out.
I put the pretty light blue ledger as the backer behind the cut-file and started layering with all the other pretty papers in the kit. I even used one of the little glassin bags that came with some of my pretties in it, as one of the layers.

I added the title with those awesome Pink fresh Studio alphas, love the color! Added a few of the cute puffy stickers here and there, along with some other tabs and tags and that was it for this one.
This kit just keeps on giving!! I got my December kit the other day, dove into it and still keep playing with this one too!! lol Cant help it!

I hope you will come back and see what else I make and make sure to watch the Cocoa Daisy website for the December kits!! I promise you wont want to miss any of them!!

Not amused / Leave a little sparkle wherever you go / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!! I hope your weekend has went well and I hope you had a great turkey day!!
We've had a long one and its been great. We got to see a bunch of family and friends and eat lots of great food too!
I thought I would drop in real quick this morning and share a few layouts I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.

This one was made for a sketch challenge over at Cocoa Daisy and I had so much fun with it! I love to work with sketches, You can work as close to the sketch as you want if you just want to or if your mojo is low or you can just use it as a jumping off point. I stuck pretty close to it, just because Iiked the sketch.

I was fun and I loved how it worked with the goofy pics of my youngest daughter.
Speaking of goofy.....

Here is another layout I made of me and my middle daughter. We were playing around taking goofy selfies lol. I loved the Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper, so I used it as a larger strip of the right side. Did a bit of layering behind the photos with some of the DITL cards, patterned papers and some of the exclusive little stickers and die-cuts.

I finished it off with some of the pretty Spiegelmom scraps sequins.
Heres a few more close ups of that layout for you to look at.

Thanksgiving Inspired door hanger / Cocoa Daisy DT

Hello!! So whos ready for the Thanksgiving holiday to start?? This girl right here, that who!! lol For us it starts today!! The kiddos headed out to school this morning so excited that break starts when they get out of school today. We have a lot of family stuff planned and I have lots of scrappy stuff planned lol.
Speaking of.....
I'm sharing a door hanger I created with this months Cocoa Daisy Sprinkles kit and the Glazed add-on. The colors are fantastic, I'm not really that traditional so I love the teal popped in here too! I started by butting a cut-file created by Ashley Horton, it says Happy fall y'all, I backed that with the pretty teal paper.

After I did the backing I ran a bunch of the papers threw my silhouette, cutting out a bunch of leaves. I played with the placement for a short period of time and was happy so I lightly glued them down and then sewed threw them all a few times, all the way around in a circle. After I sewed them down I lifted up the edges of the leafs to add come dimension. I loved it already but wanted more to it.

So I thought I'd put a saying on it. And if you know me, I'm a bit goofy and I like things to be fun so I chose a fun little saying. Gobble til you wobble. lol My kids liked it too.

I thought I wanted it out of that pretty yellow, but when I cut it out I realized I didnt like it. So I grabbed the brown paper that looked like leather and thought it would look great and I was way happier with that one!!

Finishing it off I placed some of the awesome Spiegelmom Scraps sequins here and there around the little leaf wreath and I was happy.

I had fun with this one, I always love having new home decor for the holidays, now I have family members wanting some too lol.
Remember to head over to Cocoa Daisy and check out the kits and grab them before there all gone!! And make sure to check back for the new kits for December too!!

Fuled by Coffee / 12x12 layout Cocoa Daisy DT

Ok jumping right in today...
Over at Cocoa Daisy there was a challenge that involved sewing in a creative way or a way you don't normally. Well I sew with my machine all the time and I love it, I've sewn by hand only one other time, but I thought this layout, yep could do that and I totally love a challenge!!

I also LOVED this months cut files from CCD. I mean there about coffee!! lol I'm a coffee-aholic! So I played with that. Used two of the words in this months cut files, cuppa and coffee.I scaled them to different sizes and backed them. After I backed them all I used different stitches on my sewing machine and sewed right threw them all. I sewed the big coffee cup by hand after that, right in the center of the page and went from there.

I grabbed that cute DITL card that says, Caffeine loading please wait, from this months DITL kit, again a lot of coffee themed stuff and I am so loving it all!!*swoon* lol I added some layering behind my photo and a red circle behind both, added a little to the left side for some balance and that was it.

I so cant wait for the 25th of this month and if your a Gilmore Girls fan, you know why!!! 6 hours of commercial free Gilmore girls!!! Yay netflix!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what I had going, I have a fun thanksgiving inspired door hanger coming to my blog very soon, so stay tuned!!
