My first Traveler's Notebook | Embrace the journey | Journals For Life DT
Hello everyone!! So, I was completely nervous about this. I had played with TN’s in the past, but just for my own eyes and no one else’s. But really, I had decided not to even try because I do more traditional 12x12 layouts more. But man, do I love playing in a TN, planner, making mini albums and playing with mixed media and I rarely share much of it. But I got the awesome opportunity to be on this great team, Journals For Life and I thought, well maybe this is a sign lol. Yeah, sometimes I am that person. But I’m glad I did it and that the owner took the chance on me.
I wanted to share my progression in my real first TN and I wanted to share it with y’all too. The cover is really basic, not a ton to it. But I wanted to keep it that way for the beginning of 2022. I’m trying to look on the bright side and hope to enjoy whatever journey 2022 takes me and my family on.
I loved the washi that came in the kit and had to use it. I am a coffee-aholic lol. I had to use that, cause there will be a lot of coffee in 2022, just as there has been in the past! I used that pretty heart from the kits ephemera pack and pulled the phrase sticker and the number stickers from my stash and that was that. Cover done.
I moved to the inside. Now before I started, I did my best not to look at anymore TN’s because I didn’t want to be influenced by anyone else’s designs. But I had seen plenty on Instagram, Pinterest and more lol. But I made it a point not to go looking for them. I knew I wanted a little pocket on my inside cover to store extra tags, this way I didn’t have to go looking when I was in the process of playing, and I wanted a place to put some other item I may not want to put on a page.
I ran a die through my sizzix and popped my pocket on the inside page, drew a little line on the edges and poured out the ephemera to add something to the pocket. I cut out a circle, popped a little label through the center and then added that pretty little butterfly in the center.
On the first page, or title page? IDK, I thought I would try my hand at some lettering and mixing it with some stickers. I also had the bright idea to try and use some of my vellum as a tag, not sure it was the best idea, but it was stuck down, so yeah there it is lol. But I went with heres to a better year, and I so hope it is! I put one of the clear stickers from the kit on a piece of white cardstock, I thought I was going to cut it out, but decided to use a clear epoxy sticker and make a 3D embellishment for this page, yes more coffee lol.
I know this really isn’t that much, but I have moved forward and have done some more. I will share more this week and see what y’all think. Do you have any suggestions? Well, I hope you liked what I did and I hope you’ll come back and see what else I come up with! I have to say I think I did a bit better, not to toot my own horn, but I kind of just let go and had some fun and I think the more comfortable I get with it the more I will be happier with it. Make sure to go check out the Journals.For.Life Instagram and blog to see what all the other ladies are going with the kits too!

You are my sunshine | Clique Kits Design Team
Good morning everyone! I hope your having a good week so far. I'm already ready for the weekend here! I want to get some crafting done!
But I wanted to share a layout with you today that I made with my Happy Blooms kit from the Clique kits shop. I love this kit!! The colors are amazing and all the pretty things that come in the kit!!
I have this love for yellow. I don't know what it is, maybe that it's such a bright and happy color, IDK. But I had found the little banner piece that said You are my sunshine and that kind of set the tone for my layout. I pulled one of the papers with that beautiful yellow and white and cut that at a diagonal for my background. I stuck that down to some white cardstock and started pulling papers and ephemera to layer behind my pictures of me and my goofy little girl.
I did run some white cardstock through my cuttlebug to add a little more texture to my layout. WHen I did this I really didn't know where I was going to put it but I wanted to have the option to use it if I wanted. Either way it would be used on something lol.I added a white border to my pictures and layered them the way I wanted and grabbed that beautiful blue paper with pretty flowers all over it and cut a square, then layered a piece of the packaging behind that, ruffing all the edges up as I went.
That just wasn't where I wanted it though. I wanted more layers and some more color as well. Since I added that floral paper, I could use pretty much any color I wanted. I went through the tags and other ephemera and found this purple tag and added it in to the layers, then cutting my die cut in half I popped that in there too.
Once I did that I really started to like my layout, but I still wanted more on there. So it was time to break out the ephemera, puffy stickers and die cuts. I went through everything, pulled out way to much as I tend to do lol. Then I started to tuck a flower here, put a puffy sticker there and then I found the big teal floral puffy sticker frame and just had to use it. So I added it in under the tag layer and I love the color pop it gives!
Finishing off my layout pretty much came down to adding the pretty little banners here and there that said things about me and my daughter and doing a little journaling on the back of my layout.
I hope you liked this layout, I did have fun making it. I'm trying my best not to hoard all the pretty things lol. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of using my pretties though.
Make sure to head over to the shop and check out the new kits and hey if you like this kit, it's still available in the shop too! Along with so many others!!

Noteworthy | Clique Kits International DT
Good morning everyone!! I'm playing with my Happy Blooms kit today. I wanted to document one of my littles major haircut. And yes, for this one was major. I kinda didn't want to do it, but she wanted to so bad and it made her happy and didn't hurt anyone, so I figured why not, let her be her. So it happened lol.
I went to an app in my phone and made a photo strip and printed it out. I matted it on white cardstock and started pulling papers from my kit and playing with it. I love all the papers in this kit and it was so hard to decide, but I figured used a pretty floral print that had pretty much all the colors in it so I can use any of the other papers and it would look good lol. So I cut the floral paper down and grabbed the pink tone on tone plaid and punched a strip of that and slid it under the other paper and stuck it down.
There are so many embellishments in this kit too! So of course I grabbed those and stated going threw them, pulling all the little things I wanted to use. I had a huge pile, so everything didn't make it onto the layout lol. I started with that little pocket and placed it at the end of my pictures, this way I could stick a little hair in from her first haircut, Is that weird?
Then I decided to do a quick cutfile in white and pop it on my layout too. But I wanted more than just the white on white below my photos so I added another paper piece at the bottom of my photo and a light blue piece above it too. This made it really easy from me to slide in all the other little pieces.
I cut one of the frames from the ephemera pack diagonally and slid it behind part of the pocket on the left and then slid the other pieces on the opposite side to the pocket too. After that it was just playing with all the florals I had pulled out and tucking them in here and there till I was happy with it. I put one of the pretty butterflies up on the top too, and added a noteworthy tag to the bottom of the pocket that already had happy thoughts on it. and that finished this layout off for me.
Thanks so much for checking out my post and make sure to come back and check out what all the other amazing design team members are up too as well. And always be checking out the Clique kits shop to see all the fun goodies that are there!!

This must be the place | Clique kits
Good morning everyone!! I shared this layout on my instagram the other day and thought I'd pop on and share it here too.
This whole layout started with this little photo of one of my littles and here dog in the backseat of my car. We went on a ride one day and they both just fell asleep lol. So, I knew what photo I was using and then, this fabulous kit, the Some days kit, I had from Clique kits made the rest really easy.
That cute little pocket was what set the tune for the whole layout. The colors were great. I went through the kit and pulled different items that went along with the colors in that pocket.
I pulled a stencil from a past kit from Clique kits and grabbed a distressed oxide, another goodie from Clique kits lol. Yeah, I have a lot of goodies from Clique kits.
Well, I added that to the background, along with some splatters and then went to layering all the lovely bits and pieces till I got them where I was happy with them.
I loved all the journaling pieces there were in this kit, in the Pinkfresh loveliness! And yes, I did actually journal on them, but not till I finished the layout and took pics. I don’t like my hand writing, I share enough of my hand writing in my memory planning lol.
I made sure to pull out some of those cute floral ephemera pieces and puff stickers and tucked them in here and there.
Then finished it off with a few enamel dots. I love those things, I use to hoard them but I’m always trying to find a way to put them in now lol.
Well I hope you liked my layout and make sure to head over to the Clique kits website and check out all the beautiful kits and check out the blog at all the amazing inspiration!

Awesome kid/Bella Blvd DT
Good morning everyone!! I'm sharing my first layout made with the new Bug Explorer collection!! I love this collection, and yeah I know I say it about all of them, but oh many are they all so beautiful and fun to play with!
I went threw the collection and pulled papers I thought would look good with my photo and decided to go with a less busy background, but a patterned one. Once I decided on that, I pulled the daily details paper and cut a bunch of the cards apart and started layering them behind my photo.
Once I got the layers the way I wanted them, I started to play with a few of the papers I had pulled from the collection. I love all the patterns and wanted to add some more color to the right side, so I decided to add a few strips and distress the edges and went back and distressed the edges of my layers too. Once I had my papers down the side I knew right where I wanted my picture.
Ok, so y'all have seen the new acrylic words right? And pennants?? Well I love them all!! So I pulled the word Awesome, then dug threw all my pennants and found the one I chose to use, it actually said Kids, but I decided to pull of the "s" and just make it kid. So I used the combo of those two for my title. I pulled a mixture of leaves from the ephemera pack and the chipboard pieces and added them around my photo and tucked my pennant under some of those and added the cute little sun and cloud piece up by my title.
Finishing off my layout, I decided to grab a few stickers from the sticker sheet and then go into my Bella goodies and grab some of the Illustrated Faith hexie epoxy stickers and add them around the layout, they add a new shape and I love the pop of color it adds!
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out the layout I made today and make sure to come back!!

Smile Heart wall decor Bella Blvd DT
Good morning everyone!!
Sarah here this morning to share a little wall decor I made thinking of my mom. And on the plus side, I got to dig into the new Mom Life collection! I was so excited to get this collection and I have to say I love all the new collection, they were even more beautiful in person!
I had recently been unpacking and organizing another box of my scrappy stash and found a canvas heart frame. It was actually supposed to be used as a little bulletin board, but I thought it would be great for a little home decor.
I knew I wanted to break into Mom Life, so I chose a picture and dove into the collection. In the ephemera pack there were already beautiful floral die cuts, but I wanted more. So I pulled out the My Tribe paper and started to fussy cut some of the flowers out. Its so hard to chose just a few to use, I had to remind my self that all of them didnt have to be used on this one project, even though I really wanted to play with them all!!
I decided that I wanted my photo backed with some more of the pretty papers, with the canvas background I thought it needed some more color to separate my photo from the background. So I pulled out some more of the My Tribe paper, Daily details and started to cut and add layers. Once I was happy with the layers and the way they looked I popped it up on foam adhesive and added it to the middle of the heart.
At this point I wanted to start tucking the ephemera pieces and the fussy cut flowers in the layers and behind my photo. I popped some of them up on foam adhesive, bent a few of them up, but just like a lot of my layouts I worked on a diagonal, I started from the bottom right, worked some of the pieces around the right side of the photo cluster and then moved to the upper left corner.
After I tucked the pretty flowers here and there on the diagonal, I went back in to my Bella goodies and pulled some more pieces that work perfectly with this collection. I love the little pom poms and the epoxy stickers, so since they matched I started to add those in too. The little Pom poms added some more texture to my project and then the hexies mini epoxy stickers added some shine popping out around the heart. I did add a few cute clips, well the little bows, there cute and girly and love to use them, so I pulled them off there clips and added them. I wanted something that would act like a title and I had a bunch of the acrylic words and Smile just stood out to me. We were all so happy in this picture, smiling and enjoying our selves, so Smile was perfect. I added that to the right of the photo and that finished off my wall decor. I had no clue where I was going with this when I started but I am so happy with the way it turned out!

Head in the Game Layout/ Bella Blvd DT
Good morning everyone!! Sarah here this morning sharing a layout I made using Bellas Football collection!
This layout didnt quite go as I planned. Most of the time when Im making layout I'll stick with a white background, I just feel like it gives me a blank canvas to play on and keeps things bright, I do use full patterned/colorful backgrounds too, but usually white, and this layout happened to be one of those times!
I did pull out white card stock to start out with. I grabbed my Boarders&Details paper and cut some layers for behind my photo, even a boarder strip that had some footballs on it but it was looking to plain at this point for me so I went back in and started laying my photo and its layers on other papers from this collection and found this one and was so happy I did!!
I was way happier with this as my background and continued to build from there. I cut a star out of one of the papers and tucked it behind the left side of my photo and its layers and then decided I was going to add a little bit of white card stock to this layout. So I cut out a circle, popped up my photos and its layers on some 3D foam and laid it on top of my white circle.
I grabbed the ephemera pack and the fundamentals sticker sheet and started to add pops of red, blue and green around my layout. I popped some up on 3D phone to add some more dimension and I also decided I was going to run my fingernail under the side of my papers to add a little more texture to my layout.
I got my title, that I added in the center bottom of my photo from the ephemera pack as well and popped it up on more 3D foam, along with a football. I added another football to the upper right of my layout with some stars and other ephemera pieces for another embellishment cluster.
I tucked a larger ephemera piece, with a football helmet on it, behind my photo so that it was sticking out and could still be seen and added a tab as well. I liked that this brought more of the colors in that I wanted and I also liked that it had a big helmet on it too! I wanted a little more texture on my layout and I have a bunch of these adorable puffy stars and of course they match perfectly, so I grabbed my puffy stars in the colors that matched and I tucked them in here and there all around the layout and that finished it off for me. I had fun changing it up a little bit from my norm and I loved how this layout turned out!
