Made me smile / Hip Kit club CT

Hello everyone!! I'm here this morning sharing a layout with you that I created with Hip Kit Clubs July kits, and man oh man are these kits amazing!! I'm so loving the combo of products and colors!! And next months is just as Amazing and has so many of the new products that just got released!! My previous post has all the info about the August kits and links to everything too!!

So, I love this picture. I didn't think I would share cause it has my bare belly but it's just so sweet how our youngest, (for now), loves to talk to my baby belly on a daily basis. She will talk to her little sister, sing to her and tell her stories and it is so sweet I had to document it.

This weeks focus was cut-files and I had a hard time choosing what ones I wanted to use but when I picked my picture it was easy for me. Both of the cut-file sets I chose were created my design team member Ashley Horton. I started out by pulling a piece of American crafts white card-stock from the card-stock kit and cut out the cut-files I wanted. Then I grabbed a few papers from the Main kit and went to deciding what I wanted behind the cut-file. I finally decided I was going to go with the Simple Stories, Sunshine&Happiness- Shine Bright.

After that I grabbed two of the Hip Kit Club exclusive papers created by design team member Kim Watson from her collection The Happy Life-Sunset Blush and Ombre Sky and then that beautiful Illustrated faith, Whatever is lovely-Admirable paper and started my layering and my bottom left corner.
After I got the paper layers I wanted I did a bit of sewing and dug into my embellishment kit. I grabbed those cute little American crafts bow paper clips, the Amy Tangerine, Better together rubber charms, love these! And the Hip kit club exclusive ephemera pack and started playing. I went back to the main kit and grabbed the exclusive ephemera pack from there too and finished off the layout.

I love how this layout turned out and how fantastically all the products from the kits worked together!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my layout, I hope it inspires you to go play with the cut-files and see what you can do with them. Id love to see what you make, so if you'd like to tag me on Instagram I'm mother0froyalty and would love to see!! Thanks so much!!

12x12 So happy together / Hip Kit club CT

Good morning everyone! Its Friday so I'm really hoping its a good day! Weekend starting, sleeping in (hopefully!) and nice weather!
To kick off the weekend I thought I'd share a layout I created for Hip Kits this week using the July 2016 kits and  mood board as inspiration.

Design team member Ashley Horton created this pretty mood board and I took my inspiration from the water color block in the top right and the pretty confetti in the top left.

I started out by pulling a sheet of American Crafts White card stock from the card stock kit and cutting it down to an 8.5x11 and that was the starting base for my layout. I matted that on a piece of white vellum, also in the card stock kit.
After that I grabbed a few of the Hip kit exclusive patterned paper, created by design team member Kim Watson. These were from the Main kit but you can also buy the paper add on kit to get more, since they are exclusive. I also used the Illustrated Faith paper from the main kit as well.

I took my punches from my stash and started punching circles out of these papers to represent my confetti. But I didnt throw them down haphazardly, I kept them lined up, but in no particular order. When I had them where I liked them I put a little adhesive down to hold them in place till I sewed them down. I added bits from the exclusive ephemera pack from then embellishment kit and sewed the circles and words down.

I added these cute little houses since the layout was about one of my daughters and her daddy, cuddling up on the floor at grandmas to watch a movie, lol. But once I did that I added a frame to my picture, also from the ephemera pack and grabbed the Bella Blvd ciao chips for the title. I added a few gold rub ons from the project life phrase and icons set and sewed the 8.5x11 layout to the pretty water color looking paper as a background. And that was it, layout was done.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and hope you come back to see more of what I do. And make sure to check out the Hip kit website for all the beautiful kits, the blog for more inspiration, Instagram and the facebook member forum.

Oh and make sure to come back to see all the lovely sneak peeks of next months kits!!!

Hello Lovely mini album / Pretty Little Studio DT

Good morning everyone!!
I'm here this morning to share a mini album I made for a friend of mine. So this one wont have any pictures in it yet. But I enjoyed making it. I thought the Woodland collection would be perfect for this, So I grabbed it and started.

I actually created this whole mini from things in my stash and the Woodland collection from Pretty Little Studio.
I took 2 pieces of chipboard, cut them down  and scored a 1 inch binding on both pieces and adhered them together and place a Tim Holtz large ring binder on the spine inside and placed them with eyelets and covered the entire album in papers from the Woodland collection. I just love that wild rose paper!! I think I could use that over and over and even better, it comes where the background is in different colors!! Love!
The page bases are little Paper Studio favor bags from Hobby lobby, some foiled in gold others just kraft with polka dots! I love polka dots too! lol

The inside cover has a 2 layered pocket, I thought this way it can hold more tags, journaling or ephemera that my friend wants to keep for her little one. Each page is also a baggy/envelope for storing more things, this way everything is in one place.

I added labels threw out the mini so that dates and things could be kept track of, little snippets of journaling and all.

Most of the labels and tags are adhered down to where pictures can be slid under them if wanted.

And I like the gold foiled envelops with this collection and the Cambridge doilies, to me they make it look a bit more dainty. lol

I made sure to add a extra little pocket in the back with tags so there would be even more places to journal or add pictures. I always feel like there can never be enough places to put pics or keep your memories.

Thanks for stopping by and checking my mini album out!!

12x12 Country Life / Pretty little Studio DT

Good Morning everyone, Sarah here and I hope your enjoying your summer, can you believe its almost over already?? I cant, its to soon!
Well I'm here today to share a layout with you I made with the Let's Go Collection. I love how versatile this collection it! I had pick this picture out of my youngest so fishing at the beginning of summer and thought that these papers, their colors went perfect with it. I grabbed a cut-file I had cut out and started to back some of the empty places with the pretty papers.

After putting the cut-file down I started layering behind my photo and went on to embellishing. I added little shipping tags, labels, gold words and some embellishments I made out of the PLS products with one of my epoxy stickers. I got the epoxy sticker idea from Adele or you may know her as Inky Quill.

I love layering all these things together and adding little things like the thread to add just another little touch or piece of interest to the layout. And to finish it off I pulled out some of my Shimmerz  coloringz and splatted a few colors around and that was it for this one.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Oh Snap

I was in my scrappy room a while back and decided I was going to put my kits up and play with my stash, since I hadn't done that in a while and my pretty stash was just sitting there. So I grabbed a picture, I don't scrap chronologically, so I grabbed this picture of my oldest son from this spring when we went on a weekend trip to my in-laws.
We all love going up there and hanging out. It takes a few hours to get there but everyone is always glad to be there. The kids love that they get to be out in the middle of nowhere and my oldest loves to ride the four wheelers!

I decided I wasn't going to go with my plain white background like I usually do, trying to break out of that, but we will see. lol so I grabbed my American Crafts light kraft card stock and dove into my stash to pick patterned papers. I found in my 6x6 paper pads that I had a We R Memory Keepers, notable paper pad. I loved the colors and hadn't touched it yet so I pulled it.
I rooted threw some of my ephemera drawers and ended up pulling things from Pink Paislee, Pink Fresh Studio, Crate paper wonder, Basic Grey, Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp and Amy Tan. I think thats all...

I guess I was kind of procrastinating cause I turned on my silhouette design studio and started scrolling threw my cut-files and I was glad that I did, I found this one that Kim Watson had made, it was actually only the one, but I manipulated it and combined  a few of them in different sizes. Once it was cut I started putting pieces of patterned paper in different places that I liked and backed my photo. Then I adhered it all down and went to embellishing!

I combined so many collections, it makes me happy when I can do that, the old and the new combined and they look good together to me.

Oh I also used a Hip Kit club exclusive flair button on this layout. I had fun with this layout and am hoping to dig into my stash more and more, I need to so all those pretties aren't just sitting there anymore!!
Thanks for stopping by to check this out!

Away we Go / Pretty Little Studio DT

Hello everyone!!
Sarah here today to share a layout with you of my oldest boy, graduating from elementary school. Oh how fast they grow and time passes. It feels like this just happened and today I got the new school supplies lists, Crazy!! lol

I loved the colors in this collection, I thought, well hey there for travel but would work just as good for a boy page. So I started layering behind my photo and worked out from there to be honest. A little tip from me to you for today is that layering adds great dimension to your layouts and more interest, whether it be with you papers or your embellishments. It draws your eye in to look at different places on your layout.

After I was satisfied with my layering, I decided I wanted a little something on the right hand side of the page to. So I cut the papers and adhered them down to look like they came from a 12×12 sheet and started embellishing! I love scrapping period but man do I love getting into those embellishments and playing! I added shipping tags into the layers, label cut outs, tabs and mini phrases and words.

I really love how this layout turned out and I hope you enjoyed seeing it!!

My weirdos / Hip Kit club CT

Good morning everyone!! Im sharing a layout with you today that I created with the Hip Kit Club June 2016 kits. This is one of my last layouts with the June kit, my July ones should be here soon!! So excited!
For this layout I used the sketch that Ashley Horton created for this month. Please feel free to use the sketch and come join in over on the Hip Kit club member forums on facebook, we'd love to see what you create with it!

So here is my layout. I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it and I also loved the cut-files for this month! I started off with a piece of American Crafts card-stock from the card-stock kit, ran it threw my Silhouette machine after I had played with the cut-files and got them the way I wanted.
After that I grabbed my Main kit and pulled out a few of the patterned papers and started backing the cut-file and behind my photo. Once I was finished with that I decided to sew down each row of arrows and then sewed a circle around the layout, like the sketch shows, I love that it draws you in to the photo but subtly.

After I did the sewing I started to add embellishments. I love the exclusive ephemera and puffy stickers Kim Watson created and wanted to use them as well. And the colors all matched perfectly.

I added the little clusters in like it showed on the sketch. I stuck really close to this sketch and was happy with the way it all turned out.

My kids are little goof-balls and this picture shows it!! lol So I used My little Weirdos for the title, it just fit! lol This was juts breakfast one morning and they were just laughing and joking and being goofy so I grabbed my camera and went to snap a shot and they got even goofier!!

Well I hope you liked this layout and I hope you come and play along with us over on the Hip kit club facebook forum. You'll love the weekly challenges, great inspiration and tons of great conversation! You can find more on the Hip Kit instagram and blog too!!
I hope you come back to see more of what I create with these kits!

Pretty Little Studio / I love your smile

Good morning everyone!! How was your 4th of July?? I hope safe and fun and filled with memories. I think this year is the first year that I sat my phone down, this is what I take most of my pictures on, and really didn't take any pictures. I really enjoyed everything like watching the kiddos play and get covered in watermelon juice lol and playing in the pool and everyone enjoying the food and company, but I didn't pick my phone up once to document it and it makes me sad but happy at the same time if that makes since.lol

Well I am here this morning to share with you my first layout for Pretty Little Studio design team!!! this is a layout I made of one of my daughters, this was just an everyday moment that I caught of her in the backseat of the car when we were going out to run errands. She just looked too cute with that big ol’ smile that I had to scrap it and the You&Me Love Story collection had just the perfect colors and pretty little die-cut clouds! I love those and don’t ever think I’ll be able to get enough!

I used a black and white photo and this is something I do a lot, unless something in the color photo means something to me. I love the fact that using a black and white pic can allow me to use any papers and embellishments that I want, even though this picture would have been fine in color because all the colors were pink and blue! lol
I started this page with a piece of 12×12 American Crafts card-stock and lightly drew out lines at un-even lengths and sewed them with my sewing machine across my page, some what in a way that they would look like sun rays coming out from behind the picture. After that I started layering the pretty You&Me papers behind my photo and then added a 6in Cambridge doily. The I pulled out that lovely set of Cloud9 die-cuts and started placing them around the layout.

When I got the clouds where I wanted I added some 3D foam behind some for some dimension and started placing them down. I wanted a little something across the bottom with a little pop of color there too, so I grabbed some yellow washi from my stash and layered it with the Priceless patterned paper and stitched it across as well.
To finish it all off I grabbed my Love Story word flags and used some of these as my title, something small and understated really, so that the rest of the page was the focus. I punched a few tabs out for above the photo with one of my punches and added some little word stickers from Silly Monkey, Silly Woody Words sticker sheet.

I hope you enjoyed my layout today and I hope you come back to see more! Make sure to head over to the Pretty Little Studio Blog and check out whats going on over there and all the beautiful inspiration!!
