What if I fall... | Clique kits DT
Hey everyone!! Ok, so this year has been about trying new things for me. And I'm still doing that and really liking it. I started my year choosing the word Freedom. Its freedom to create, play and try new things. So this week I tried something I got from clique kits and had never used before, the add-on kit - Pleiades. Its Lindy's magicals and they are amazing!! I had never tried them before, but I am happy that I did now and I can see myself playing with them quite a bit in the future. I also used the Sampler kit - Butterfly Whispers.
There is so much to this kit in the first place, but the fact that it's all so stinking cute!!
I opened up my mixed media journal, or at least what I'm usings as on lol. I added a layer of clear gesso. Once that was dry I pulled out the Magical powders and started to sprinkle them on the right page here and there. When I started this, I thought I was only going to do one page, but that's not how it turned out. I just had to much fun. Once I had the powder sprinkled around, I started to spritz it with my water and the colors came to life!
I used Galactic Teal first, thinking I wanted the page closest to the middle to be dark, but then I started to sprinkle the Martian Magenta around and it was sooooo pretty. I started to sprinkle it on the other page too to see what I could do with it. I like the variations in color across the pages. I played and tilted the book to see it run.
I decided to let that dry a little while I played with fuddy cutting out a few things and going through the embellishment packs that came with the kit. So many things to chose from. But the piece that said what if I fall? What if I fly? really stood out to me in the moment, so I grabbed it and pulled the other things that felt right to me.
After I picked those things I decided that I wanted to add some yellow, because come on, that UFO Yellow in the Lindy's magicals was too good not to be used. I mixed it with a few different mediums so that I could get some opacity to it. I wanted it to sit on top of the other colors. End the end I went with clear gesso and a little bit of white paint and it worked for what I wanted. I grabbed my pallet knife, picked some of the color up with it and scrapped it across my pages in a few places.
Once I let that start to dry I started to add the What if piece where I wanted it and then moved on to the little cuties, butterflies and that bear!! I printed off a few words from my printer to go in fandom spots on my spread. I cut them out and doodled black lines around them. Once I had all those down I decided to pull out some of my paint pens.
I used a few sizes of white paint pens and my gold one too. I kinda went a little crazy with it. lol. I copied some of the shapes from papers in the kit and then added some little dots in clusters and some small line strokes. I chose to outline some of the shapes too.
I actually had so much fun with this. It's a first time thing, but I didn't feel any stress when I was playing with this and it ended up double the size I started out thinking I was going to do lol.
I hope you enjoyed this and it would be great to see what yall are doing with your kits too! Make sure to tag us on Instagram!

Love this life | Bramble Fox DT
Good morning everyone! I have all my Bramble Fox goodies and I have to say I loved this perspextive that says Love this life. It a mat black and I just love it! I had recently been outside with my littles playing with chalk, messy hair and all, lol. Snapped a few photos. Yes, I played with the chalk too, but then retired to the hammock to read and watch them. It's so awesome to watch their creativity and how they enjoy what they are doing. So of course I had to scrap it.
I pulled out the new Southern Charm collection by Kelly Bangs, it has such bright, beautiful colors, that I thought it would be perfect and I think I was right.
There was a cut apart sheet with, to me looked like bandanas, in so many colors so I thought I would cut them down to be the same size of my photos and add them down the middle of my layout in a rainbow and add little things to go with each square.
I worked my way through the whole collection, picking out little pieces that went with all the squares and added them around them. Tucking pieces in here and there. I had decided on the placement of my photos, so I tucked a few things behind those as well and then added some splatters of black paint.
I finished off my layout by adding my title, the Love this life perspextive above my photos and gluing down my bit of journaling and called this layout done.

Cute Girl Obsessed | Guest designer for Shimelle
Hey everyone! I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this! And then I kind of freaked out cause I didn't know what I was going to do. Just being honest, lol. But a few days later I walked in to see my daughter playing on her floor with her ponies, dinos and cute little dino blanket on her head and snapped a few pics and thought this was perfect!
I scrapbook a lot of pictures and they always mean something to me, even if it doesn't look like it to others. But this, this was a shot of my little girl, being completely herself and loving every minute of it. I want to make sure to collect all of these moments because she's growing up and doing it fast and I don't want to forget any of it. Ok, ok now to putting my layout together....
I decided in the beginning how I wanted to have my photos clustered together, so I added some adhesive and stuck them together and figured I would figure out the rest as I went. I knew she was looking to the left in all three of them so I knew I wanted my pictures to be on the right side of the layout, then came the little bit of mixed media on the background. I pulled two of my Fun stampers' journey liquid color and splattered them around, hit it with my heat gun, cause I'm impatient and kept moving.
I pulled out my little bin where I keep all my scraps and particley used 6x6 paper pads and started pulling the colors I had decided to use. I have a love for the colors teal, pink and yellow. I also threw in some black and white paper and small touches of gold. These are colors I love together but are also some of my daughters favorites lol, so it works out great for me.
I started pulling papers and tucking them behind my pictures, not even caring that they were from different collections or manufacturers, they looked good together and that's all that mattered to me. I love scrapping this way, it makes it easy for me. Once I had all the layers right where I wanted them, all stuck together, I added some foam adhesive to the back leaving a space to the upper left where I had decided to place a tag that slid down behind the pictures, a little note for my little miss when she gets older. I am not huge on journaling where it can be seen, I usually do it with a hidden journal spot or on the back of the layout, but I wanted to leave a little note for my daughter, something hidden for her, that let her know exactly how this moment made me feel and how I loved it.
After that, I pulled out my bin that holds a bunch of random ephemera pieces and chipboard pieces, pulled things in my color set and started tucking them here and there till I was happy. This always takes longer than I think it probably should, but I move things around sooooo much lol. I thought I was done at this point, I liked my layout and thought my daughter was front and center and pulled the focus, but I felt like my page was a but one sided, so I decided to grab some of my scrap paper stripsand add them to the far left edge and a few little strips at the bottom. I went back and grabbed some of my Bella Blvd puffy stickers and My Mind's eye enamel dots, tucked them here and there and I was finally happy with my layout and called it done.

Adventures to the bookstore | Bramble Fox CT
Hello everyone!! I hope your having a great Monday! I wanted to share a new layout with you using the beautiful Adventures perspextive, from the June Fox box. I used it to start my title and finished it off with some of my sticker alphas. I automatically loved the color of this one and thought it would work great for a photo I had taken of my son, so I went to work on it.
I started by pulling out some papers from my stash, Heidi Swapp, Storyline. I decided to cut out a few circles from some of the papers and place them on the background, coming out from behind the photo of my son. Once I had cut those out I decided to add a little strip to the layout so that it would add a little more of the colors from the collection.
Once I had the circles and paper strip down I ruffed up the edges for a little dimension and added some dimensional foam to the back of my picture too. I pulled some of the stickers that went with this collection and grabbed some of the labels and added them to the bottom of the photo to fill some of the blank space and have a place to anchor my title.
I pulled some stamps out of my stash from Studio calico and added a few of those here and there and finished off my title. When I was looking at my layout, there was to much white space for me so I decided to ripe down one side of my layout and add some color with cardstock. I ripped a textured orange paper form my stash and punched the edge of a piece of black cardstock and finished it off with some darker teal cardstock and I called this layout done.
Hello everyone!! Sarah here, sharing another new layout using the Happy Hearts, sampler kit. I love this kit lol. I think I have probably said that a few times since I got it!
I have been playing with different page sizes so far this year and this one is and 8.5x11 and it seemed to work out just right.
I started with a white background, I already had my photos in a little photo strip. I knew I wanted my photo strip towards the middle of my layout, so I went through my papers and pulled a few that I thought I wanted to play with. Once I did that I figured this would be a perfect layout for a to-go coffee cup. So I set out making that lol. Any way I can incorporate a coffee, I will lol.
I figured out how I was going to place the to-go cup with my photos. Knowing this, allowed me to know how much paper I could use adding my layers. I added two layers behind my photo and stuck my photo cluster and coffee down, typed up my journaling and added that below my photos. At this point all the things that I needed on my layout were there, so it was time to embellish and add some more pretty papers.
since it was time to play with more fun papers and stuff, I grabbed some of the papers I had pulled previously and cut some strips and added them to the top and bottom, then I decided since my layout was a bit heavy on the left side because of the to-go cup, I should add a little something more to the right. I cut a triangle out of the pretty floral paper and added it to the bottom right and then went to pulling a few florals to add.
I tucked a few little pieces of florals to the top and down at the bottom, tucked under my little triangle and called this layout done.
I hope you liked this layout, I love it and can't wait to play with this kit more!
Make sure to head over to the shop and check out all the new kits and pretty things!
