Hip Kit club CT/ Hello Best day ever!!

Hello everyone!! How was your Christmas?? I hope everyone had a great holiday! I had quite a bit of family around and we were busy and its still like that a bit, lol, it'll probably be that way till around New years!

Well I'm here to share another layout I made with this months Hip Kit Clubs December kits!!! These kits were so pretty! And I'm not done with them yet! And then we've already got to see January's kits and WOW! Another beautiful one!!!

But this week I made a layout with the cut file by Ashley Horton. It was just so pretty and looked like string art to me, I just love it! I altered the cut file a little bit so that I can keep it attached to the page and then backed it with a piece of Maggie Holmes, Shine, Divine paper from the main kit. I matted my goofy photo of me, my sister and my youngest daughter on a piece of white cardstock from the cardstock kit , then I backed it again with the other end of that Maggie Holmes Divine paper and I also cut a tab out of it with one of my punches. After that I grabbed my 6x6 paper pad that came in the embellishment kit and grabbed the paper with the cute little zebras on it. I sometimes have a problem in finding away to incorporate the cute little zebras into my layouts, but there cute and quirky and this layout is a bit quirky, so I figured why not!! and I was just so happy to use it!! I thought it was so cute!

I added a few strips of the stripped paper from the paper pad to and put a little bit of the American Crafts glitter tape in there, its so sparkly! I grabbed a doily from my stash and put it under my photo and adhered down the zebra paper and my picture and a piece of paper from the 12x12  bright paper by Maggie Holmes under one of her wooden frames and added best day ever to the opposite side.

I was almost done, I did a small amount of sewing and then grabbed the 12x12 chipboard sheet from the main kit and used a few pieces form that, those flowers and hearts are just so cute!! I also added a flower from the ephemera pack that came in the Embellishment kit too. And to finish it off I grabbed a few gold glitter stickers off of the American Crafts, Beautiful thickers. I love the gold glitter in these, so pretty!!

Well I hope you enjoyed my layout and I hope you head over to the Hip kit site and check out the beautiful kits that Kimberly puts together and join in on the fun!! Dont forget to head over the the Hip Kit Club blog and see what all of the talented ladies are making with the kits too!!

Good Cheer right here/ Peppermint mocha- BOAF

Hello everyone, I'm here this morning to share a few layouts I made with this months Birds of a feather kit.
I really love this months kit, the Basic Grey papers are fantastic!
I really love them!! So having said that, I grabbed all the Basic gray Juniper berry papers and cardstock sticker sheet. I started this layout with cutting four squares as my "mat" for my photo. I did mat my photo on white cardstock, I sewed the four patterned papers down with some black thread and cut a doily in half and layered it behind my photo and adhered it all down. I grabbed a few stickers from the sticker sheet and added them, then punched a tab out of some of the wood grain pink paper and added it. I appropriately called this layout Peppermint Mocha, we got a hot one and a cold one that day and oh were they sooooo good! Anyways, I finished this layout off by adding a strip and some tabs at the bottom and then a few stickers and sewing them as a banner. last but not least a few splatters of tinsel Heidi Swapp color shine.

Now this layout is of my youngest daughter. She is amazed with the tree this year. Shes finally understating a but more, but she loves the tree and the lights, shes so fun to watch.
I started with a white cardstock background, I knew I wanted my photo in the middle of the page so I put a few marks on the page around where I wanted my photo to go, moved it and sewed a few squares around where I had it marked. Put my photo back and clustered some thread under it. Then I decided I wanted to add a bunch of circles to the layout and so I went to punching them out, from all the Basic Grey papers and some vellum. I added them to the page here and there till I liked where I had them and started to sew on some of them, adding little clusters of thread here and there.

After the circles and thread where I wanted them I added a few stickers from the sticker sheet and then a few paper strips to the top and bottom to keep it as a centered layout. I added some of the pretty gold and white striped washi and did a bit more sewing and thought I was done, but I love the little splatters, so I had to add some on this layout too!! lol I finished it off with some Gold Lame Heidi Swapp color shine.

Hip Kit club CT/ Jammin to my tunes

Good morning everyone. Well this month had flown by, its crazy!! I cant believe we only have 3 more days till Christmas! So excited and also anxious! lol I still have so much to do!! But I have been taking some time out for myself with my scrapping. I've been playing with my December Hip Kits still because theres just so much to play with! And Im also moving along with my December Documented album, I'll share that later. But today I wanted to share a layout with you that I created using the sketch that Ashley Horton created for us over at the Hip Kit Club this month.

I think she did a fantastic job with this sketch and I loved it when I saw it and this was my take on this sketch!
I had this picture of my youngest daughter and oldest son chilling and listening to music and I thought it would go perfect with these papers. I love the way this turned out and I love how my kids all love music so much.

I started out by playing with the cut file Ashley Horton made for Hip kit this month, but I made it to where I only had one of the pretty hearts. Then I grabbed my 6x6 Maggie Holmes Shine paper pad from the Embellishment kit and started tracing and cutting, I added a bit of that fantastic yellow dotted paper by Studio Calico, Seven paper- Elliot, I loved that paper!! After adhering them with them all down with washi tape I went to town with my sewing machine until I was happy with how it looked. I used a bit of Maggie Holmes shine, Divine paper to add a strip of that pretty hot pink to the top and bottom. I matted my photo on some American crafts white cardstock from the cardstock kit, then grabbed a few of the pretty print and cut files that Kim Watson had made for this months kit along with a project life card she created for the project life kit.

After adhering my photo down with some pop dots I started to add some embellishments. I started with my title out of those pretty gold Maggie Holmes alphas, then I added bits from the 12x12 chipboard sticker sheet, a few pieces from the Shine ephemera pack and then a little Heidi Swapp. I love the little note pads and loved the little bit of gold they added and then those freaking cute little rub ons!! Love them! To finish off I added a but of thread and some of those cute little wood veneer stars and that was it for me.

Hip Kit CT/ Happy Moments

Good morning everyone! I hope all is well with you all!
I've had a ruff few days here, sick kids and hubby. But I did get a chance to jump back into my December Hip kit and make a layout.

I loved this Studio Calico, Goldie paper as soon as I saw it. The first thing I did to it was adding stitching along the lines and separating all the triangles. I had already decided what picture I wanted to use and that I wanted it in the center of the page, do I added a few sewn circles to where I knew it would be under the picture and any layering I was going to do.
I grabbed a the pretty fountain blue American Crafts card stock from the card stock kit and ran it threw my Silhouette, using one of Nicole Nowosads cut files from this month. I threw a piece of the white vellum from the card stock kit on there as well and cut some pretty little snow flakes out, with another of Nicole's cut files from last month.

I also used Kim Watsons print and cut for this months kit to add a little layering and bits and pieces here and there.  I thought these were just gorgeous! The colors matched perfectly, just like they always do! And they were so cute! I loved the Hiya Life one, I just had to use it.

I used some of the white card stock from the card stock kit, ran it threw my silhouette using another of Nicoles cut files and placed the frame around my picture, along with the one with stars cut out of it. That was the majority of this layout, its really quite simple but I love it. I added a few pieces of paper from the Maggie Holmes Shine 6x6 paper pad that was in embellishment kit and one of Kim Watsons project life cards she created for this kit. I use Kims PL card as my title, Happy moments. Because this was a fun day for us. It was our youngest daughters 1st time building a snow man, or helping lol and she loved it and loved the snow.

The rest of  the kids had a blast too, they love the snow! There a bit disappointed that we haven't had any yet this year lol. I did use Missy Whiddens technique of putting messy bunches of thread around the layout, in the little clusters I made.

Well I really hope you enjoyed this layout and head over to the Hip kit blog to see what the other ladies have created with this fantastic kit!! And please feel free to subscribe to my page so you dont miss anything!!

Thanks so much!

Hip kit CT / Tiger ears @ breakfast are a must my dear

Good morning everyone!! How are you doing?? I have been crazy busy lately and haven't been able to scrap much and its made me so sad. Now I have a few sick little ones and I feel like I'm getting it too, soar throat and all, ugh. But something beautiful showed up on my door step this weekend and oh I couldn't resist playing with it, feeling good or not! lol

So this is one of the pretties and I jumped in and made this layout of my crazy cute little girl.

I started with the photo this time, I usually start with a piece of paper or something, but not this time. I knew this kit would be perfect for this picture, so I grabbed my pic and started digging threw my kits. I started out with a piece of  American Crafts white cardstock from the cardstock kit for my background and a few cut files cut from the same cardstock. I backed my picture with white paper as well, then grabbed the omber wood grain to pink paper from the 6x6 paper pad in the embellishment kit. Then I grabbed the 12x12 sheet by Maggie Holmes-Bright from the Shine collection, and theres a lot of that collection threw out this kit!! This paper was from my main kit.
I cut the cut apart sheet apart and used the back of one of the cards to layer behind my photo and added a circle of it down to the bottom right to start a little cluster there. Then I grabbed one of the beautiful Project life cards created by Kim Watson and used it as a layer behind my photo as well.

I grabbed another piece from the Maggie Holmes cut apart sheet, the pretty little floral, I cut it in half and placed a piece above my photo and then another layered down in my cluster to the bottom right. I added a geometric cut file into the cluster and repeated some of the other pieces I use around my photo too.

I grabber some of the Heidi Swapp Note Pades and used them around the photo cluster and down at the bottom. Oh And I grabbed that pretty washi tape from the embellishment kit by Studio Calico, Seven papers from the Goldie collection. I love this washi!! The cute little saying that are repeated on some of them are sooo stinking cute! And the patterns are great too!
I grabbed some thickers from my stash from past kits, those beautiful gold ones are from Octobers main kit and I love these letters!! They are Dear Lizzy thickers called Desk top and the other pretty blue sparkly alphas are from Octobers Project life kit, they are Heidi Swapp, make pretty stuff glitter stickers.
I didnt have to do this, there were plenty of alphas in this kit but I figured I would add the little blue in there and I'm just in love with those other thickers!! lol The other cute little round stickers are by Studio Calico, Elliot, cute little black and white alpha stickers. I liked the mix of the fonts. I added some stitching before I adheared everything down, added a few thread balls to the clusters and around, than grabbed those cute little Heidi Swapp Confetti rub ons and added some of those scattered around the layout and grabbed my Heidi Swapp color shine, Gold Lame, this came in Novembers color kit, I splattered some around the layout and thought I was done. I looked at it and thought it needed a bit more so I looked threw my papers and decided I liked the way that the Studio Calico Goldie 012 looked great behind the layout, it added just what I wanted. And that was the end of it for me.

I love this kit, there always better and better every month! Its crazy and I don't know how Kimberly does it! lol But if you haven't checked out the shop yet, you should! I added the little library pocket for my journaling and then started to layer bits and pieces from the diecut pack and them placed my title on that pretty gold arrow. Christmas morning / Hip Kit Club CT

Good morning everyone!! How is your Tuesday morning going?? And the 1st day of December??
I'm happy to share a layout with you today that I made using Hip Kit Clubs November kits

My background is form PinkFresh Studio, I loved that paper and didn't want to cut it up, so this was a perfect solution for me to using it! With this being the background, I didnt think it needed a bunch o f embellishing, well with that and the 9 photos I decided to use from last Christmas! lol

I matted my photos on an exclusive paper bu Kim Watson, I used another exclusive paper by Kim and a cutfile bu Nicole Nowodas to cut out the little snow flake. I added a bit of vellum and then started to embellish with the PinkFresh die cut pack. I added a few of the print and cut cut files by Kim Watson around the layout and a little of that beautiful gold washi by Freckled Fawn, that is just such a pretty washi!! I'm loving it!
And to finish it off, I used the October Afternoon alphas that came in the embellishment kit.
Like I said a pretty easy layout lol.

I have to say Im pretty excited that today is the 1st day of December!! I am trying my 1st ever December Documented album! So I will be sharing that threw out the month as well!! Im so excited and a bit leery lol I want to stick to it and make sure I finish it! I've Made my foundation pages, so just making sure to get my pictures printed and little stories put it!
Wish me luck!! And please come back by and check out my process with my December Documented album and my other layouts. And swing by the Hip Kit Club Blog and check out what all the talented ladies over there have been doing!

The cold never bothered be anyways/ Hip Kit CT Layout

Good morning everyone!! It is finally getting cold here so its been a blast to work with this months kits and last years pictures!

I made this layout using the sketch that Ashley Horton created for one of the challenges on the Hip kit club forums

This here is my take on that great sketch. And to be honest the title was my hubbies suggestion lol. Our girls love Frozen and it popped into his head and it stuck and ended up as the title.lol. Along with this sketch challenge I thought I would challenge myself to use a colored cardstock background. Now to some of you this may not seem hard, but I dont stray much from my white background, it feels weird. And this wasnt any different but I loved the color of this pretty cardstock, Lollipop, even the name is fun!

So I turned to my Silhouette and grabbed Nicole Nowosad and Ashley Hortons cut files and started to play to see what I was going to do for the background. And then when I needed to fill the circles I automatically went for that Pink Fresh Studio paper. I love that little penguin!!  And thought it would work as its own little embellishment. Along with that little cute deer. So I started backing my paper with pieces of that Pink fresh studio paper, then I stared to sew little snow flakes and the print and cut files from Kim watson, to the page.

I backed my photo of my youngest daughter with Kims exclusive papers and then started to add puffy stickers and those pretty pretty glittered silver foam stickers, also exclusive to this kit! I added little thread messes behind some of the embellishment clusters and then remembered I had those My minds eye enamel dots and had to add some of those too! Like on the cute little deers bow, lol.

To finish off my layout I grabbed my white acrylic paint, because at the moment Im out of my while mist, add some water to it and splattered it around my layout.
Thanks for stopping by my blog to check my layout out. Head over to the Hip Kit Blog and check out what all the other ladies have made with the kits from November and then head over to facebook and look up the Hip Kit group, come join in on great chats and fun challenges with chances to win!!

Stash Scrap Thursday!!

It is way later then I wanted to get this up but there has been a bunch going on here!! I guess its just getting to be that time of year lol. But I'm loving it! Gott o go to the school and have Thanksgiving lunch with the kiddos and had fun with that. We got our food and sat outside on the benches in the sun since there were so many people. It was just warm enough to enjoy it!

Well this week I decided to pull out papers from my October Hip Kit. I cant believe with everything I've made that I still have more of this kit left, lol. But I've been loving it!

I love this picture of my parents with my kiddos and my niece. All of them looking goofy as all get out!!

My youngest playing hide and seek with here pool water gun. Bare foot and all lol. I just wanted to scrap this and I actually journaled! That's something I rarely do, But its also something I'm trying to get better about. Not just the pictures but the words too.

And this is the last for tonight, and wow its late lol. But this is a picture my hubby took one day and I didnt even know until he showed me weeks later. Youngest and me were sick and cuddled up on the couch, paying no attention to anyone lol  I love these little things!

Sorry its so late today and thanks for coming by to check it out anyways! Life is crazy at times, but I'm in love with it all!!

Hope you have a great Friday!!!

'Tis the season - Hip Kit club CT

Good Morning everyone and Happy Tuesday!! Im here today to share a layout I made for the Hip Kit Club creative team. Using the lovely November 2015 kits and the great cutfiles available for subscribers.

I love this layout!! lol. The papers that Kim Watson created are so amazing!! Its been so hard to cut into them but I have managed and man am I happy I did!! The background base is American Crafts Kraft cardstock from the cardstock kit, I layered a that pretty Christmas pudding paper by Kim ontop of it and sewed it down, again Im really loving sewing on my layouts. I love the look it gives, a bit more detail.

I grabbed Bright Tinsel, also by Kim and used one of the cutfiles by Nicole Nowosad that says 'Tis the season to be Jolly.  I thought this totally fit for this layout. We were so happy, we'd been playing out in the snow for a good while, pulling the kiddos around on sleds and having snow ball fight and making snow angels. Everyone was so happy!!

I had already printed out and cut the print and cute files available in the shop by Kim Watson and I used them as layering pieces threw the layout along with cut little die cuts from Pink Fresh Studio, those came in the main kit. Along with the pretty silver foam glitter stickers created by Kim too!

I used another cut file created by Nicole Nowodas to cut out the vellum snowflakes and placed them around the layout. To finish it off I grabbed a few of the acrylic shapes from the Embellishment kit and layered them here and there around the layout and tucked some thread in some of the embellishment clusters.

I hope you enjoyed see what I made today and hope you some back and check out what else I make along the way! Head over to the shop and look at the beautiful December Daily kits that are available as well, with tons of exclusive products!! Stash Scrap Thursday!! *Layout heavy*

Hey everyone, Thursday is here, so close to Friday!! lol And I'm back with another Stash Scrap.
This past weekend Paper Issues had an online crop and I'v been playing along and using up a bunch of my stash!! I think Ive only mannage to get 7 done so far, but I want to try and get more done before the 14th, thats the cut off for getting them entered in. You still have a but of time if you want to run over to facebook and look them up, Paper Issues Friends and fans, and all of the challenges are there! And lots of good fun talking too!

So here are my layouts and what challenge they were for:

This is me & my mom and this was Lisa's Attitude of gratitude challenge, you were to create a layout showing everyday gratitude. I used bits and pieces from my October Birds of a feather kit to create this layout

This is my oldest son back when he was first starting Kindergarten.  He was so happy and confident, it was amazing! This was Michelles get into Shape challenge. You were to use a repetitive shape threw the layout. I thought I would use my Pink Paislee memorandum 6x6 paper pad for this one because I loved all the pops of color with all the white I had put in this layout, I also grabbed bits from older Hip kits as well for embellishments.

This was for Color Cast Design mood board. This is the mood board:

I thought this picture was perfect for this mood board and I worked in all the colors but kept it very light and airy. The cold looks black in the photos lol, But I loved this picture of my youngest daughter with my hubby just checking out the water.

This was for A Flair for buttons challenge, you were to use at least one flair and extra points if it was one of theres. I didnt have any of theres :( so I grabbed my Basic Grey Aurora flair and my Shimelle  stash go to town. My title is Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful. And I chose that because I tried to get some good pics with all of us looking and smiling but hey there kids, lol. Ones not looking, neither am I lol, ones slining his head around to move away from his brother and ones cheesing and giving his brother bunny ears lol, Either way it was fun!

This layout is Leahs negative space challenge. You were to leave at least 2/3 of the layout blank. This is hard for me to do, as I'm guessing it is for a lot of scrappers lol. But I managed. I decided to grab an older pack of Heidi Swapp project life cards and the embellishments that came with it and went for it, this way I was still limited to what I was working with.

Now these next two I used my Birds of a Feather November kit. I had 2 layouts due for my DT obligations and a few of these challenges hit it right on the mark and I had just taken pictures the week before at the park that were perfect too so I grabbed my kit and pics and did these too.

Now this one was for Donas Orange challenge. You were to make a layout with orange in it and you got extra points if you used mixed media.
I cut the background on my Silhouette and places a piece of bright orange paper under it from Echo Park and then went to cutting out leafs with my Silhouette too. I added some acorn brads from another of my previous months BOAF kits, I finished it off with a little flair, some thread and Thickers from the kit.

And las but not least this is the last one I have for now and it was for Corries color challenge. You were to use green, orange and red.  This pic was in with the above from the park the week before and I loved the colors of the leafs so I used it and a few pieces from previous kits and it all cam together quite quick.

Im really hoping to get at least a few more done, I would have liked to get them all done, but I guess we will see!! I'll be posting more here in the next day or so, all by the 14th, so come back by and check them out and if you dont want to forget you can subscribe and youll never miss another post! Thanks and I hope you have a good rest of your day and hey think, tomorrow is Friday!!
