Together | Clique kits international

Good morning everyone, Sarah here today to share with you a layout that was inspired by some stories my little ones have been telling me. We went running around outside, playing in the leaves and when we got in they went to telling me stories about their adventures, so I wanted to make sure to scrap a shot I got of them out there.
I used the Attitude of Gratitude base kit for this layout and it was perfect! I wanted leaves on this layout, being they had played in them all afternoon and all their stories were about their adventures in them too, so I went for a leaf cut-file on patterned paper and opted into a color cardstock background again. I wanted there to be a little lightness to the background, not just plain dark blue, so I dry brushed some white around where the cut-file was going to be, along with some splatters and added my cut-file on top.
From there it was pretty easy to finish up my layout, it was all about adding layers behind my photo and then the pretty, pretty embellishments.
I added a few layers and tags behind my photo and then went crazy on tucking flowers and leaves here and there in a few clusters on the layout. To finish it off I grabbed those oh so pretty Nordica sticker dots and tucked them in and under some of the cut-file and a few other places and that was it for this one. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope we can see more of what y'all create with the Clique kits!

I love it when the coffee kicks in....| Clique Kits International

Good morning everyone! I wanted to share a fun layout that I made with the beautiful September Song kit. I wanted to play with a patterned backgound again, I keep trying to branch out lol. I had made a cut file so I could use it on the background for my title, but accidents happen. Well really, my daughters saw it and decided to color on it. So instead of making another one, I decided to use it as a stencil. I started this layout with the title, it being so big, I knew where I had space to put my photo and any embellishments that I wanted to add.
ILike I said, I used the cutfile as a stencil, just dabbed white paint over it. I figured it would show up pretty good on the background. I had to wait for that to dry, so I started to play with layers behind my photo. Just a good little pic I took on snapchat with my coffee. My my time in the mornings, before the kids get up, before school starts, before the crazy starts lol.
I chose some of the pretty bright colors from the patterned papers to add a pop behind the photo. Then I was like, hey this layout is about my coffee, so why not make a coffee cut to go with it. I sketched one out and cut if from different papers from the kit. I added a little sewing for texture and tucked it in under the side of my photo.
At this point my title was dry, I traced around it with a black pen thinking it might make it pop a little more. In person it doee. lol. Since the title was dry, I added a strip under the title for some seperation and to highlight it and then started to go through my ephemera and pull things I wanted to layer together. I added little bits here and there around the layout. A bit of yellow at the top and bottom. Really just because I liked the color and wanted to add it to my layout. And that was it, my fun little layout was done.
I hope you enjoyed me being a bit goofy with this layout. I had fun with it and I enjoy using goofy pictures as well. Mine, my kids and my pups lol. Come back and see what eles I have put together. I have a few other projects to share really soon, so I hope you come back by. Make sure to head over to Clique Kits and check out all the beautiful kits and all the amazing work the other ladies do. Leaf Hunt | Clique Kits International

Hello everyone! Sarah back again today to share a layout I made for Clique Kits International using the Fall Stories Kit. We still are having issues due to Covid, so were not out and about much, plus its getting cold here! So I don't have a lot our pictures of us out and about, but me and one of my daughters decided to go on a leaf hunt in the yard the other day.
My other daughter got side tracked and just started collection leafs into a pile, lol. But this one just had fun running and collecting the biggest leafs she could find and in different colors!
From start to finish this layout probably took me almost an hour, stopping to do things with the kids and all. But I started off with a white sheet of cardstock, sewed on some messy circles. Grabbed some papers and cut out some ruff leaves, I rant hem through my sewing machine and ruffed up the edges a but and stated layering them behind my goofy girls photo.
I decided I wanted a little something behind my photo, so I added a mat of that beautiful floral paper behind and went back to stuffing my leaves back in. I tucked some florals here and there and that cute little raccoon, I love the little animals in this kit!!
I popped up to the top left corner and added some leaves there and a few that looked like they were falling from the ephemera pack. Then I decided to add a strip of paper below the picture and the little leaf clusters I made, so that I had a place for my title to sit. I actually grabbed the alphas from the September Songs kit, they went perfect with this kit as well! I added a few little decorative brads along with a little gold splatters and this layout was done! I hope you enjoyed it!!

Hello Autumn | Clique Kit international | Mood Board challenge

Good morning everyone!! I wanted to share the layout I made for Clique Kits Facebook mood board challenge. I had fun with this one! The kit I used, September Song, and the add on kit from Fall Stories, it had a stencil in it and with the leaves in the mood board and the watercolor look I decided to use it and some distressed oxides from my stash.
So I started out with the stencil, some dazzlerz from shimmerz and some fossilized amber oxide ink from my stash.
Once everything was dry, I started playing with the papers to layer behind my photo. The photo isnt great quality, but I loved the pic of my little miss throwing up a peace sign and smiling lol. I added layers behind my photo, distressed the sides of them and placed them on my layout. I added some 3D adhesive behind my picture to pop it up and give a little more dimension and also to give me places to tuck some embellishments in.
The title was easy, there we those gorgouse American craft fall thickers in the kit. So the title was a no brainer and so easy lol. I pulled some of the florals and leaves from the ephemera pack and tucked those in. I had to use one of the super cute buttons from the kit too so I slid that in behind the beautiful tag I put on there.
At this point the layout was missing something, so I decided to fold down the top left corner and add a bit of color there and a cute floral thicker. Then I moved to the bottom of the layout to add a bit more color. I have issues at t imes creating with yellow, I love it but will have issues with it on a layout in large amounts. As you see with this layout, I was trying to push myself. SO I added a few strips of the yellow to the bottom, tucked a tag and some florals and called it done. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope that you decided to jump over to the Clique Kits facebook page and play along too!

Creepin it real 12x12 layout | Clique Kits

Good morning everyone!! Today I'm sharing with you my first layout for the Clique Kits design team! Today I am using the Fall Stories kit. This kit has so much in it, but I decided to challenge myself and pull the one sheet of paper by Simple Stories in the kit that has all the cute little halloween stuff on it and see what I could make from that, adding other pieces in from the kit as well.
I started with a white background, but as you can see, I changed that. Color backgrounds aren’t something that I normally do, but I'm really starting to like it. I cut the Boo Crew 3x4 elements paper apart, did some fussy cutting of those and then started layering behind my photo. I pulled out other papers from the kit that complemented the Boo Crew paper, did a little fussy cutting and pulled a few things from the embellishments and started to tuck things in here and there.
When I put my photo cluster on my background, it looked to plain, so I went through the kit and grabbed the yellow/orange cardstock and tried my cluster on top of it and I liked it. I wanted something else too, so I grabbed a cut file I made and played with it behind my photo. I found where I liked it, but it needed something else. So, I decided to dry brush some black paint where I was going to put the cut file.
I put my cut file back and really liked how it looked, but of course I wanted a little more texture, so I ran it through my sewing machine with black thread. I added a little bit of messy stitching to the left of where my photo cluster was going to go as well.
I watered down some of my black paint and added some splatters across my layout, popped up my photo cluster on some 3D adhesive and placed it down where I wanted it. I tucked in some of the pumpkins I fussy cut, with little messy thread bundles behind them. I pulled some alphas from my stash and added my title and was done. This layout took me about 35 minutes, and I was pretty happy with the outcome. I hope I have inspired you to scrap and make sure you check out the kits over at the Clique Kits Shop, you wont want to miss any of them!

So crazy awesome layout

Good morning everyone!! Yesterday was a major rainy day. Ya know, just a little flooding. lol Its still raining today, but power is back on and school is in session for the littles. So hopefully that means a little more scrapping time, we will see.

I had fun with this layout though. I really didn't use a lot on it. And I actually used a colored background. I so rarely do that lol. I honestly wasn't planning on using white acrylic paint to start out with on this layout, but after pulling all my scraps from the Addison collection, using my die cutting machine to cut all these circles, there was a lot of color and it just looked like it needed a little something else on the background.

I laid everything out and I was just having an issues with nothing but blue in the background. So I pulled out some white acrylic and started dry brushing it across the center of the background, from the top to the bottom. I like that effect that dry brushing had on the background. It didn't cover it all, but left it a little wore looking.

I didnt let the paint dry all the way, a bit impatient lol. So I started laying things back where I had them before, popping some of the circles up with foam adhesive to add a little dimension. I started stuffing some of the cute feather ephemera here and there.

I love the little messy look of the thread that Missy does, so I thought it would be a nice touch, adding a little more texture to the page. I also added in some black splatters. I thought I was don't at this point, but it was missing something. I just wasn't happy with it. So I grabbed some of the paper strips I had left over and started layering them on the left of the layout, tucked a circle or two, added some thread and a few tabs and that finished it for me.

I know I'm not amazing at walking through my process here lol, I feel repetitive a lot of the time, but I guess thats just me lol

I hope you liked this layout, you can check it out over on my facebook page

Scrappy layout and rambling

Hey everyone! It's been a while, hu?

Life has been crazy for a while now, but for the most part, a good kind of crazy. With quarantine and all, I've had a lot more time at home but not a lot more time lol. We've been working on the house. Since all the stuff was already just sitting there in the garage, so making headway there. The kids are going a little stir crazy, but we've been finding things to do, so thats a plus. I'm betting everyone is having some issues keeping kids entertained lol. I have got my littles and not so littles no, (my oldest is taller than me!!), into doing more crafts. My youngest recently turned 4 and she got a really cute journal and some great gel pens, along with a bunch of other stuff, and she was so excited about her pens and journal. She looked at me and told me that now she could do like me. She went to drawing and writing about her birthday. I thought that was awesome. The girls with scrap with me more than the boys, but they get into painting. Canvases, walls, hydro dipping shoes and other things. It's definitely interesting lol. On another note...

Right around the corner school will be starting again, we're doing online learning....So yeah that should be fun lol. No for real, I'm looking forward to it, but I know it's going to be a challenge. I've dabbled with the idea of home schooling forever, but never took the leap, now I got pushed or shoved lol. So, it is what it is. We will make the best of it. *Fingers crossed* No, really I think we will be just fine.

I have been playing with my scrappy things. I have rearranged my scrappy space, like 3 times lol. But I haven't really been posting anything. So I figured it was about time. I am trying to get back to some kind of normal in my life and I also kind of miss it.

I'm not on any design teams at the moment, so this isn't for a DT, but I did use a lot of my Bella Blvd stash on this layout, Illustrated Faith paints too. Really I started this with the paper with the crosses on it. I had pulled out my IF paints and started painting some of the crosses. I had my goofy, but very poor quality, snapchat pics and decided to scrap them.
I have been working on myself in many ways, health, attitude, emotional and more. It's been needed. So when I remembered I had some of these things in my stash still, I decided to use them.

I started adding things here and there, layering die cuts, tags, stickers and knew I wanted to use some washi. But I wanted more color, So I grabbed an old gift card, scrapped it in some of my left over pain and scrapped it across a few places on my layout, where I had already had a few things clustered around.

I hit the paint with my heat gun for a minute and then went back to re stacking everything. Adding little things here and there that I found in the collections.

I knew my title when I started so I added it, some splatters and that was it. Now looking at it, I think I might go back and add some stitching, but we will see lol. I always think there is something else I can do to it to give it a little more umph.

Well I hope y'all liked my layout and I hope to keep sharing more with y'all coming up again soon along with more rambling about life and the new normal that were all having to learn lol. Hope all is well with everyone and hey, if your not a blog reader, head over to instagram and check out my page there:https://www.instagram.com/mother0froyalty/?hl=en

Then you don't have to read all the ramblings to see the layout lol. I also have a facebook page for all things scrappy, you can swing by and check that out too if you want:https://www.facebook.com/scrappinmylittleroyals
