Explore, Happy, Play / Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!!
I'm going to be sharing a layout with Bella Blvds new Squeeze the day collection!! I mean, this collection is so amazing and fresh! I just love it!!

Good morning everyone!!
PicsArt_07-31-02.56.05
Ok not only do I love the new Squeeze the day collection, with its bright colors and happy patterns, but I really have a thing for the bella invisables! I think I may have one or two left, I love them added in as a layer on a layout. This one was a calendar, but you dont have to use it that way at all. I just love the way it adds more to the background.
PicsArt_07-31-02.59.40
I started with a Bella Besties for my background. I knew I wanted to use the invisible on my background too, so I actually started building my layout on it, before ever sticking anything to my background paper. I figured that doing it this way, I would be able to build my layout and then decided on what color I wanted the background to be, what complimented my layout.
I started with my pictures. I had three for this layout, I just had to decide if I wanted them to go vertical or horizontal. I ended up deciding to have them go with them horizontal. I backed each photo with a different patterned paper and then decide I wanted a patterned paper running behind my photos. And I love rainbows! So I went with that, it had a lot of white and pops of all the colors in the collection, so anything from the collection would work!

Once I chose the rainbow picture, I popped two of my photos up on 3d foam and stuck them all down. Then came trying to decide what embellishments I was going to use. And if you haven't seen this  collection, OH WOW are there a ton of ephemera pieces, stickers and all the epoxy pieces!! So for me it was hard not to use everything!!
I chose some of the pieces I wanted to use, set them aside and pulled out my acrylic words. This week we were to use acrylic words on out layout. Well I chose three different ones to use. It was super easy to chose the words for my title too. We were at the zoo in these pictures and we had do much fun while we were there. My youngest daughter got to to ride the carousel for the first time and oh did she love it, she didn't want to get off it! One of my other daughters wasn't so sure about it though and she held on for dear life. But it was all so much fun.

I picked where I wanted my title to go, I started from the top with the largest word and a white one, knowing that I had two white acrylic words and a green one, I decided to alternate them. So I placed them and started to embellish around my layout. I added a cluster up to the top left. I added some of the tags, epoxy fruit, ephemera heart and a sticker here and there. I did the same to the right of the photos and than down at the very bottom below the word play. Once I was happy with everything, I went through the Bella besties, sliding different colors behind my invisible, until I chose the ice color. I adheared everything to the background paper and was done.

A day in the life / Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!!
I am happy to be back here this morning with a bit of a playful layout I made of me and goofy dad.
My parents had come up to visit, but I needed to run to the store, so they went with me. Me and my dad play around so much, I'm glad we have that kind of relationship, we have so much fun. But he was playing bumper carts, I hopped up to avoid getting my ankles hit, lol and landed on his buggy. I said, onward, an my mom caught it lol.
No back to the layout.
I made this layout with a mixture of Splash Zone and Home Sweet Home. The colors go together so well. I started with my picture of course, then that beautiful stripped paper, I need like 100 sheets of that one! I love the color chaos invisibles, so I grabbed the calendar one and used it as well.

I added a bunch of layers behind my photo so that they would have as many of the colors from the background paper as I could get. Then I started to go threw the embellishments, ephemera, doohicky stickers and word salad stickers, that matched the color lines in the background.

I made my little clusters in certain colors, it just depended where I was focusing them. So on the top right I had different blues, even it it was clouds. I know they had nothing to do with this layout but they were the right color and they were cute, so they went. Then I moved to the left of the photo and added yellow items and then down to the bottom left of the photo and added reds and pinks.

I added my title across the bottom of my photo, I like the label that said a day in the life and it was red so it went with what I wanted.
My layout was looking a little bare, I knew I wanted more. So I pulled out my word salad sticker booklet and started flipping to colors that were between my yellow cluster and pink/red cluster and pulled all the ones that went with that day and my picture. I love, love, love the word salad stickers and how many colors there are!!
I went from orange, to red and then into pink and in every color I could find what I wanted, things that expressed the relationship me and my dad have. Were goofy, close and love to hang out.
Thank you for stopping by to check out what I made today and if you haven't already, make sure to grab these collections. They are beautiful alone, but they mix perfectly!!

Hey Girl Hey, water color fun/Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!!
I'm here this morning to share with you a fun little mixed media project I made with Bella Blvd/Illustrated Faith water colors. These paints are beautiful and easy to work with, the colors blend so well and the colors are so bright!
I started my project with a circle cork wall hanging, I covered it in white acrylic paint, once that dried I used a stencil from my stash and some modeling paste and added some little doilies around the circle.
I let the doilies dry and pulled out Shanna's Favorites acrylic paints. I spritzed the whole thing with water, I grabbed the pretty, pretty pink and started adding it here and there on the cork circle, spritzing more water over the paint and tilting it here and there and letting the water run and drag the color over more parts. I went threw and did this with the dark blue and the teal as well. I loved watching it blend between the colors, blending some places into purple and bringing out the doilies on the background.
After letting the the cork circle dry, I pulled out All people All Nations and started layering pretty papers behind my photo and fussy cutting some flowers and leaves out of one of the papers and layered them in as well. I pulled bits and pieces from the ephemera pack and shapes. I used those to create my title on the right side of my photo and then moved on to the last bit of embellishing.
I pulled out the Basic words and added a few below my photo and to the left and then went in for the Hey Sugar,Sugar epoxy stickers. I love these and I keep reaching for them on all kinds of different projects! But I added these little beauties in a few spots and loved the pop of white and was happy.

Awesome kid/Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!! I'm sharing my first layout made with the new Bug Explorer collection!! I love this collection, and yeah I know I say it about all of them, but oh many are they all so beautiful and fun to play with!
I went threw the collection and pulled papers I thought would look good with my photo and decided to go with a less busy background, but a patterned one. Once I decided on that, I pulled the daily details paper and cut a bunch of the cards apart and started layering them behind my photo.
Once I got the layers the way I wanted them, I started to play with a few of the papers I had pulled from the collection. I love all the patterns and wanted to add some more color to the right side, so I decided to add a few strips and distress the edges and went back and distressed the edges of my layers too. Once I had my papers down the side I knew right where I wanted my picture.
Ok, so y'all have seen the new acrylic words right? And pennants?? Well I love them all!! So I pulled the word Awesome, then dug threw all my pennants and found the one I chose to use, it actually said Kids, but I decided to pull of the "s" and just make it kid. So I used the combo of those two for my title. I pulled a mixture of leaves from the ephemera pack and the chipboard pieces and added them around my photo and tucked my pennant under some of those and added the cute little sun and cloud piece up by my title.
Finishing off my layout, I decided to grab a few stickers from the sticker sheet and then go into my Bella goodies and grab some of the Illustrated Faith hexie epoxy stickers and add them around the layout, they add a new shape and I love the pop of color it adds!
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out the layout I made today and make sure to come back!!

Vacay relaxation/Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!! I am having fun playing with the new Island escape collection from Bella Blvd!! This collection has so much to it! You can go big and floral or minimal like I did with this layout, but it still has beautiful bright colors and make everything pop!!
I wanted to have my picture to stand out, I rarely use a colored photo, but this picture of the sky was so beautiful and I enjoyed the day so much that I really wanted to keep it in color and remember the beauty of the day. I was laying on the deck of a boat, sun bathing, soaking it all in and decided I wanted to snap a picture of the beautiful sky, so I did. And this whole collection made it all come together!
I started with my photo, no mat on this one, but started pulling patterned papers and layering them behind my photo. I love the Daily details paper, you can use the pretty patterned paper on one side or you can cut all the different pieces apart on the other side and use them for titles or great layers! And that is what I did here! I did my layers and then pulled a doily from my stash and tucked it into my layers and behind my title card.

With my picture being of what its of, I knew I wanted to use the waves from the Ciao Chips, so I made sure to add those in, then moved to cutting and ripping a few layers from different papers and layering them at the bottom of my layout to pull some color down to the bottom to. I pulled a few pieces from the Ciao chips and tucked them into the layers at the bottom and added the banana at the top of my photo to add a little more yellow there.
I found the Float along sticker tab and popped it in at the bottom too, I thought it was appropriate, lol. I wanted more color, so I grabbed my Mini Hexies epoxy stickers and added them in here and there around the layout. I added my journaling to the bottom right of my photo to remember the day and decided to add a little more color, so I added a few teal splatters and was done.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out this layout! I hope you get your hands on this collection and enjoy all of it!!

Smile Heart wall decor Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!!
Sarah here this morning to share a little wall decor I made thinking of my mom. And on the plus side, I got to dig into the new Mom Life collection! I was so excited to get this collection and I have to say I love all the new collection, they were even more beautiful in person!
I had recently been unpacking and organizing another box of my scrappy stash and found a canvas heart frame. It was actually supposed to be used as a little bulletin board, but I thought it would be great for a little home decor.

I knew I wanted to break into Mom Life, so I chose a picture and dove into the collection. In the ephemera pack there were already beautiful floral die cuts, but I wanted more. So I pulled out the My Tribe paper and started to fussy cut some of the flowers out. Its so hard to chose just a few to use, I had to remind my self that all of them didnt have to be used on this one project, even though I really wanted to play with them all!!
I decided that I wanted my photo backed with some more of the pretty papers, with the canvas background I thought it needed some more color to separate my photo from the background. So I pulled out some more of the My Tribe paper, Daily details and started to cut and add layers. Once I was happy with the layers and the way they looked I popped it up on foam adhesive and added it to the middle of the heart.
At this point I wanted to start tucking the ephemera pieces and the fussy cut flowers in the layers and behind my photo. I popped some of them up on foam adhesive, bent a few of them up, but just like a lot of my layouts I worked on a diagonal, I started from the bottom right, worked some of the pieces around the right side of the photo cluster and then moved to the upper left corner.

After I tucked the pretty flowers here and there on the diagonal, I went back in to my Bella goodies and pulled some more pieces that work perfectly with this collection. I love the little pom poms  and the epoxy stickers, so since they matched I started to add those in too. The little Pom poms added some more texture to my project and then the hexies mini epoxy stickers added some shine popping out around the heart. I did add a few cute clips, well the little bows, there cute and girly and love to use them, so I pulled them off there clips and added them. I wanted something that would act like a title and I had a bunch of the acrylic words and Smile just stood out to me. We were all so happy in this picture, smiling and enjoying our selves, so Smile was perfect. I added that to the right of the photo and that finished off my wall decor. I had no clue where I was going with this when I started but I am so happy with the way it turned out!
