December Memory Planning/Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone, Sarah here this morning to share my December Memory planning with you.
So far this month I have almost four weeks of my planner done and have done a bit of prep for the last few days of my forth week.

I laid out my 1st week starting with my pretty paper on the right side of my planner and boxing those off into there individual sections of the day. Then I moved onto my washi tape that separated the different sections of the day. To be honest I don't always use these different sections for the different times of day or anything, I use them how they suite me.
I added in my pictures where I knew I wanted them to go and then started in with my decorating and adding my appointments, activities and such for the week.

Each week is different for me. Sometimes I have more writing, whether its to keep up with appointment or to wright down things that have happened so that I don't forget. Like my second week of  December.

And then there are some weeks where I add more pictures, like here in my third week of the month and still have my appointment and journaling about things that have happened.

I'm still working on this week. With it being Christmas and so much going on, I haven't added a ton yet. I went in and preped my pages and added in what I already had printed out picture wise, added all of my appointments and as the week has gone on I have went in and added bits and pieces of journaling about things that have happened and embellished more.
I love to add pictures to my planner spreads, I've said this before, but I don't always take a picture each day, so I might go without one here or there. This week has been so busy that I haven't added but two photos and that's because I had them pre printed. This is also something I don't normally do. But I had pictures of all my favorite Christmas shows printed because I had added them to my list on Netflix and made sure the others were recorded on my TV, so I put those down the days I watched them.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my memory planning for this month and I hope to share more as I go on! Make sure to check out what all the other Cocoa Daisy girls are doing too!!

Pretty Little Studio/ 12x12 Fall love layout

Hello everyone, Sarah here this morning sharing a fall layout.
I know Christmas was just over yesterday, but I still love this collection and found an old Instagram photo of a pretty little red leaf and I just had to scrap with it!

We haven't had long lasting cold weather here so far this year, it seems like fall keeps running longer and longer. lol. I don't mind, I like the cooler weather, but I was so looking forward to a white winter. No such luck though.
I was looking threw some of my old Instagram photos and saw this fall picture and thought I wanted to document how pretty it has been this fall.

I played with some of the frames with this layout. One, I love them, two, I wanted the leaf to be frames and thats really how it started out. I cut a few of the cute leaves out from one of the papers and added them in with some of the ephemera pieces and tucked them here and there behind my frames and pictures

I popped out a few pieces from the cut aparts and added an epoxy sticker on top and stuck them down. Popped the pictures up with some 3D adhesive. I added a strip to the bottom of the page, along with a little one at an angle. Then finished it off with come Gold Color shine and this layout was done.

Pretty Little Studio/Be Merry Be Bright 12x12

Good morning everyone!! Can you believe its already Christmas Eve?
Well today I wanted to share a layout I made using the Tinsel Town collection by Ashley Horton.

I got a picture of my Christmas tree from this year and thought it would go great with this collection, so I decided to scrap it. I used a cut-file from Ashley Hortons, The Cut Shoppe, Christmas Magic and cut the title out.

I backed it with pieces from the Tinsel Town collection and started layering behind my photo. I added a few pieces from a cut apart sheet and a few bits and pieces from an ephemera pack.

I added a small amount of journaling at the bottom of my photo about what year this was and a little blurb about my tree this year, finished off my little embellishment cluster and decided to add a small strip of paper to the bottom of the page and then moved on to add a wood veneer tree and a few more pieces from an ephemera pack.

To finish it off I added some splatters of Heidi Swapp color shine in gold lame and that was it. a quick simple layout, showcasing my Christmas tree. Thanks so much for coming by to check out this layout!

Well today I wanted to share a layout I created to play along with this months Cocoa Daisy designer challenge. Oh and a quick mention, Cocoa Daisy has now set up a new facebook page for the monthly challenges, it makes it a bit easier to play along, so we hope to see you over there! Here it is for you, Cocoa Daisy Challenge facebook page .

So this months challenge is to scrapbook your favorite memory from 2016. So this is what I scrapped about, This was our surprise in 2016.  And a fantastic one at that! We found out that we were pregnant with out 5th child and it was amazing.
These are the 1st ultrasound pics, we didnt get to get in to ultrasound until further in to the pregnancy but that was ok, we knew she was ok.

I used the main kit, moments, and some layers made with the DITL kit and a cut file from Ashley Hortons, The Cut Shoppe.

We would love for you to play along and let us see your creations over on the facebook page or even in the Cocoa Daisy forums on our site.
Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing what I had made today!

Loved / 12x12 LO Stash Scrapping

Hello everyone!
Today I thought I'd share a layout with you that I created a while back. I'm just now getting the bloom collection, yes I know, so late to the game here!! lol But I still love it and all the pretty little pieces!

If you follow me on instagram, facebook or here on my blog, you might know I recently had a baby. I didn't think I would share some of the layouts that I created because they were quite personal. But having a baby is personal and not always completely...covered I guess, lol so some I wont scrap/share lol, but I thought this one was ok to share and I love this picture! One of my favorites from that day.
The day I had her was so CRAZY, I was actually at the hospital 2 times that day and finally had her. My mom got to be there and thats who you see in the picture with me, so I have three lovely generations here. It was amazing.

Ok so back to the layout, lol. I started with a cut-file with this layout. I dont usually do that, I usually have papers or a collection or a group of things in mind but I found this cute little deer and it had little hearts on it. I know I wanted to scrap this picture and that deer was to precious so in my mind it was perfect.
I pulled out my bloom collection and backed my little dear, placed it on a white background and started my layering behind my photo, adding a gorgeous doily from Pretty little studio. I did a little fussy cutting for those flowers, they were begging to be fussy cut!

I wasnt happy with the layout on just the white background, I wanted more color but for it to be kept simple still so I trimmed it down and put the pink and white plaid behind it and was happy with the pop of color and drawing more of the pink out. I added few of the chipboard pieces and pulled out my gold glittered word thickers and finished it off with a little bit of gold color shine.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out what I created. If you like what you see please feel free to click the subscribe/follow button so that you don't miss anything!

Pretty little Studio / I just love to smile

Good morning everyone!! Happy Monday! Its the beginning to a new week and I thought I'd share a new project that I made with the lovely Tinsel Town collection created by Ashley Horton.

This is a very simple layout but I loved the cute little picture of me and my daughter from last winter and her little antlers, lol. After I chose my picture, I went for my Silhouette, a piece of card stock and the Stained Glass and The Buddy the Elf cut-files from The Cut Shoppe.

I sewed the Stained glass cut-file to the background, splattered it with white paint. Then I layered patterned papers behind my photo and adhered it down. I cut the Buddy the Elf cut-file and put my title down.

After that I grabbed the cute paper with all the circles on it and started punching some of the circles out. I popped a few up on 3D adhesive, with some thread messyness behind them.
I added ephemera pieces, love the Buck head!! And you get it in different colors! lol I was good an only added one flair button, I love them and need more!!!
Very simple, 30 minutes to make but I love it!!

Pretty Little Studio/The Cut Shoppe swap

Happy Friday morning everyone!! Just a few more hours and the weekend starts!! Woot Woot! lol
Well I am here today to share a layout I created for the Pretty Little Studio/The Cut Shoppe product swap.

I used the Stained glass cut file, but instead of actually cutting it out I separated it in my silhouette software and placed 3 around my page in different sizes and sewed them onto the page in different colors that matched the Tinsel Town collection.

I had already picked out my photo, a picture of one of my little ones playing in the snow last year, she loved the snow! All the kiddos did. After I sewed the stained glass stars on the page I layered some of the pretty Tinsel town papers behind the photo.

Then I started adding the cute houses that came in one of the ephemera packages, aren't they just so cute!

I added the hohoho die-cut as my title. I wanted a few more stars on my layout, so I grabbed the star sticker sheet and added a few of those and a few of the die-cut stars. I finished it off adding a the snow much fun from the cut apart sheet and that was it.
Everything in this collection goes so well together that the layout came together in no time! Sewing took a bit and it made my fingers a bit sore, but it was worth it!

Cocoa Daisy December Sketch

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going good, were at the 1/2 way point and I'm ready for the weekend!! Its been rainy and gray out all week and I'm ready for it to be nice out so we can go do some of the fun Christmasy things that are going on around us.

On another note, today over on the Cocoa Daisy blog we have the Sketch challenge and when you join in and participate you have a chance to win some store credit!! And oh man is there some really great stuff in the store! So I hope you get a chance to play along with us!

Here is this months sketch, isn't it great?! I love the circle and the fact that there are multiple photos. For me its more of a challenge with the multiple photos, cause I usually end up using only one picture, but I really liked this sketch and wanted to go for it.

Here's my take on the sketch:

I flipped the sketch to go with what I wanted to do and I think it turned out pretty good. I used one of the exclusive Cocoa Daisy papers and ran it threw my Silhouette. That paper is just so pretty, I loves the fade from bight pink to the yellow-orange color. I layered some paper behind my 3 photos, along with some of the Take me away ephemera pack pieces.

I have an issue using dark card stock most of the time so I wanted to make sure to use it this month, so I ran a piece of it threw my Silhouette and cut this pretty floral wreath thing. lol.

I used some of the pretty metallic gold hearts and decided I wanted a little more of that gold around my layout and the sketch shows little dots here and there, so I punched a few little circles out of one of the hearts and placed them around the layout.

To finish off my layout I grabbed the take me away ephemera pack and did a bit of layering into a cluster and added one of the Cocoa Daisy exclusive die cuts. I stuck pretty close to the sketch and love the different ways that it can be used, I also know that I can use it again.
If you'd like to see some more awesome layouts made with this sketch head over to the Cocoa Daisy blog and see what some of the other design team members created with it! And remember to join in on the fun and get the chance to win some store credit!!

Creative Scrappers December reveal and Blog Hop!!

Hi Everyone!

Creative Scrappers is hosting a BLOG HOP today in conjunction with our reveal for sketch 302 and our sponsor Spiegelmom Scraps. I hope you can take a few minutes from your busy day and join us!

I created 2 different layouts with this sketch. I stuck really close to the sketch with my 1st layout, Little Miss Doctor

I used some awesome Love beats sequins from Spiegelmom, I love the irradecent color of the white circle sequins and the hearts are so cute. Then I played with the cork pieces too, cork-fetti hearts. I also added a doily from Spiegeelmom.

I loved this sketch so I decided to use it again, but not follow it so close. I love the inspiration from sketches, you can use the same ones over and over again and get different results. So I went for it and loved how both of them turned out! I added some of the same items from Spiegelmom to this layou as well, but I also used a glassin baggie and filled it with sequins and sewed it shut with a cork heart to seal it.

Spin me right round / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!!!
So here is another layout that I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.
This kit is Awesome!! I mean there are plenty of pretty pattern papers in this kit to where I was able to make girly pages and look here a boy page to! lol

So this layout started with the picture, I decided I wanted to use a cut-file after I had went threw my remaining papers. So I went to my computer and opened up my Silhouette software, chose what I wanted to cut out and started it on a sheet of cardstock. Well for some crazy reason my Silhouette decided to shut off half way thew the cut and drag the blade across the cut-file!
I was mad at first. Not only did it mess up the cut-file but it cut threw my mat!!

Well as you see here, I decided I was going to use the cut-file anyways!! It didnt cut the whole thing, it was suppose to be a whole page but I decided I would work with what it gave me. So I used the negative pieces and sewed them to the other side of the layout and I'm happy with how it turned out.
I put the pretty light blue ledger as the backer behind the cut-file and started layering with all the other pretty papers in the kit. I even used one of the little glassin bags that came with some of my pretties in it, as one of the layers.

I added the title with those awesome Pink fresh Studio alphas, love the color! Added a few of the cute puffy stickers here and there, along with some other tabs and tags and that was it for this one.
This kit just keeps on giving!! I got my December kit the other day, dove into it and still keep playing with this one too!! lol Cant help it!

I hope you will come back and see what else I make and make sure to watch the Cocoa Daisy website for the December kits!! I promise you wont want to miss any of them!!

29 Pinspired 12x12 layout / Pretty Little Studio DT

Morning everyone!!
Thanksgiving is over, the kids are back at school and a new week has started!!
So to start out my week I created a layout using some images from pinterest.

And this is the layout I came up with! Of course I loved the colors and they went perfectly with the Oakley Avenue collection and I love hexagons. So I decided to cut a few out of my background and back them with patterned papers and sew a acrylic sheet over them.

My picture was horrible, taken in terrible light, but I loved my sons face and what he was doing so I just had to scrap it! lol I sewed some a few strips of patterned paper across the bottom, this also anchored the acetate. Then I started adding some embellishments, a tab with a fall stickers, a few other stickers and a little ball of thread.

I placed the title in the upper left corner. I stated with some alpha stickers and then had cut out the rest, this way it also pulled some of the patterned paper from the bottom up to the top. I added a bit more thread and a sticker pointing back to the layout and picture.

To finish off my layout I added some layering behind my photo and placed it to the right of my layout, since it looked like my son was looking in towards the center of my layout. I thought it would be fun to have a little something on the photo itself too, so I added a few stickers.

Not amused / Leave a little sparkle wherever you go / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!! I hope your weekend has went well and I hope you had a great turkey day!!
We've had a long one and its been great. We got to see a bunch of family and friends and eat lots of great food too!
I thought I would drop in real quick this morning and share a few layouts I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.

This one was made for a sketch challenge over at Cocoa Daisy and I had so much fun with it! I love to work with sketches, You can work as close to the sketch as you want if you just want to or if your mojo is low or you can just use it as a jumping off point. I stuck pretty close to it, just because Iiked the sketch.

I was fun and I loved how it worked with the goofy pics of my youngest daughter.
Speaking of goofy.....

Here is another layout I made of me and my middle daughter. We were playing around taking goofy selfies lol. I loved the Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper, so I used it as a larger strip of the right side. Did a bit of layering behind the photos with some of the DITL cards, patterned papers and some of the exclusive little stickers and die-cuts.

I finished it off with some of the pretty Spiegelmom scraps sequins.
Heres a few more close ups of that layout for you to look at.

Cards / Pretty little studio DT

Good morning everyone!!
I'm here this morning to share with you a few cards I made with the Oakley Avenue collection.  Like I've said before, I'm really loving this collection, but I've used almost all of what I had. I think I may have one or two more layouts left in there, lol

These really didn't take long to make. I grabbed some kraft card stock for my card base, a few of the lighter colored pattern papers, sewed then down and went to embellishing.

The die-cut packs made it really easy to put these cards together. Easy sayings, a cute fox and the pops of color!
