One Fine Day layout | Cut Cardstock DT

Good morning everyone!! Are you happy its Friday?!? I am! lol I'm ready for the weekend and some fun outdoors! Today I'm here to share a cardstock heavy layout!! And I love it! I ran 7 different cardstocks; Stardream Metallic Copper, Textured Pink Carnation, Canvas Textured Wild Salmon, Textured Flame Tree Orange, Orange Zest, Canvas Textured Rubber Ducky Yellow and Canvas Textured Galax Olive Green, through my sizzix using a fringe die. I ran a piece of the Cougar White Smooth CardStock through my silhouette and cut out a bunch of leaves. I saved the ones I cut out but I actually wanted to use the other part as my background.
I grabbed a random piece of paper from my stash and laid my fringe pieces out on it so that I knew I had enough pieces and that it was in the order I wanted. I also checked to make sure that my top piece would sit correctly. I added 3d foam adhesive to the back of the cutfile and placed it over the top, after I had gotten all the fringe pieces stuck down.
I pulled out the stash kit I've been working with. I added a few paper layers behind my photo and stuck it down, then moved on to adding embellishments and finding a title.
I thought this sticker that said One fine day, was perfect! This day had been fantastic and the kiddos had had so much fun, it worked! I pulled the leafy bits from the sticker sheet and added those in a few places. Along with a few other stickers that I layered in the bottom left corner, the left side of my photo and up at the top as well.
I pulled some older supplies from my kit and added some of the shiny rhinestone wooden buttons here and there, decided I wanted white splatters and that ended this layout! Hope you enjoyed this layout!

Play layout with Fringe! | CutCardstock DT

Good morning everyone!! How are you this morning?? I hope all if well where you are. Well today I wanted to share a new layout with yall. I decided to play with diecuts and fringe!! I had so much fun with this!!
My mom came up to hang out and we decided to sit and play with some dies she had got, that I didnt have and I loved the Tim Holtz, Funky Insects dies and thought I would try and play with them. I pulled two purple(Hydrangea Purple, Grape Jelly) cardstocks, two pinks (Shimmer Fruit Punch,Strawberry Cream), a yellow (Light yellow), blue (Surf) and of course white(Cougar Smooth Cardstick) for my base and some die cuts.
When I went to assembling the diecut buggies lol, I pulled out some of my distressed oxides and added a little color to the edges, adheared them together lightly and then ran them through my sewing machine.
When I was making my bugs, I had went through my scrap bucket and pulled some patterned papers that went along with my cardstock colors. I cut some little pieces out for my bugs and then made sure I had enough to make long and short fringe with. I cut my fringe and started to play with where I wanted it on the layout. When I figured that out, I started adhering it down. I cut another scrap, white woodgrain, popped it up on foam adhesive and added it to the top of my fringe so that it had a more finished look and a little shelf for my photo to sit, along with my title.
I added a little paper behind my photo and popped it up on some foam adhesive too and placed it to the top right of my layout, sitting on that little shelf. I added my title, plain and simple, Play. Then came the fun!! I got to start tucking my little bugs in here and there. Sticking out from under the fringe and up by my photo. This was a fun layout and I love the way that the cardstock takes the ink and can be played with. Make sure to head over to the CutCardstock shop and check out all the beautiful papers, regular cardstock, shimmer cardstock and more.

Happy Easter Cards | Cut Cardstock Design Team

Hello everyone!! Sarah here today, with my first post for the Cut Cardstock team. I have to be honest, as soon as I got my DT package I started to play with everything! I wanted to see how the cardstock did with stamping, die cutting and with my oxide inks. I started with stamping on the Cougar Smooth Cardstock in white. I played with Archival ink first, it stamped so good and didn't even go through the paper. I liked that. I kind of went a little overboard stamping, along with die cutting things out lol.
I stamped all my little bunnies with the Archival ink, then thought I would color them in using my distressed oxides. Really, this is probably my favorite way to add some color to my stamps. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the cardstock took the amount of water and the amount of times I went over it. At this point I knew I was going to be making some cute little easter cards so I cut more of the Cougar smooth cardstock down and made my card bases. I splattered cold paint on some, stamped with other inks and just had fun with it.
This card, I cut an oval frame out of the same cardstock as my card bases, popped it up with some dimensional adhesive and started playing with the flowers I had cut out. I used Pink Tutu, Shimmer Fruit Punch, Hydrangea Purple, Grape Jelly, Jelly Bean Green, Galax Olive Green and light yellow on just this card. I used all these on this card and the rest of the cards I made, along with Surf and Aqua added in as well. Before I started to put all of my flowers together after die cutting them out, I grabbed distressed oxides from my stash the went along with the cardstock colors I was using and inked the edges to add some depth to the flowers. I sat here and did this forever. I don't know about you, but there are times I just love to die cut and ink. Its relaxing for me. I tucked my little bunny in and started placing my flowers and leaves here and there, until I I was happy with the way the card looked. And to finish it I added the Hello to the top.
I did pretty much the same thing here on this card, except that I decided to add a background stamp and gold splatters. I decided to use a few different colored flowers in this one and had my bunny sit on the edge of the frame too. I also decided to add Happy Easter to the top of this one.
Now this one I decided not to add a frame, I played with the flowers a bit more and ended up having them hang off the edge of the card, then I trimmed the overhang off. I also thought I would add 2 bunnies, instead of one. Along with the gold splatters and my Happy easter on the top.
On my last card, I decided to emboss a piece of the white cardstock and place it on half of my card, add a strip of pink where the embossed piece and smooth cardstock met. I then cut out a circle for my bunny to sit on and had the flowers radiating out from around it. I placed my Hello below my bunny and that was it for these cards. I hope you enjoyed these and you can always head over to the Cut Cardstock Facebook page and the new Creating with cardstock group.
