Embrace - 12x12 layout/ Bella BLVD DT

Good morning everyone!!

I am here today and I wanted to share a new layout with you. Is anyone else ready for fall? I sure am!! It is so hot outside, but I was so happy to see that the leaves on the trees are starting to chance and I am full and ready to embrace that change!! I am so ready for hot cocoa, boots, sweaters and scarfs!! And the leaves changing color means that its on its way!

I had my picture printed, pulled out the lovely Let's go on an Adventure collection by Bella Blvd, pulled papers that were green and brown. Then I pulled embellishments that were green, brown and orange. And with that color scheme, I realized that these cute little fox would work great on this layout!
I cut my papers, laid them out and started to layer embellishments where I wanted them. Tucking things here and there. I was liking the way it look, but there was just to much white space. I left it where it was, because it was lunch time and my toddler needed her lunch follower by frozen yogurt, lol and came back to it later.
So I sat her up with her coloring next to me,after lunch and yogurt. Pulled the layout back out. I decided I wanted to add some color to the background. Not only would this help the acrylic word "embrace" stand out, but it would let the whole layout pop! I pulled out my Illustrated Faith acrylic paints, pulled the orange out and out some on my acrylic block. I sprayed my cardstock with my spray bottle and then started to platter my layout with the orange pain. I even let my daughter help some. She said it looked like fun. lol
I colored with her while I let my layout dry. Once it was dry, I started to glue down the layers and pieces that I had in the first place. She helped me put the foxes on and then started to add my stickers to her coloring book. I tucked a few more pieces, glued down the "embrace" acrylic word and it was done. I turned it over and taped a piece of paper to the back with some journaling on it, describing my feeling of happieness about fall coming and about my little helping me with my layout.
Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I created today and I hope you have a great rest of your week!!

Birthday Boy / Bella Blvd DT

 Good morning everyone!
Sarah back here today to share with you a layout I made about one of my little guys and his birthday. You will notice with this layout, I used color photos. I know crazy!! I never use color photos. I used color photos this time because its the only way I had these. I lost my SD card in one of my moves and had these printed from years ago, so I decided to use them the way they were.
He turned 3 and was so sick, but his fever had finally broke so I wanted to do a little something before his birthday party the next weekend. So we went and got some cupcakes and his and his brother had a cupcake war in the front yard and they had a blast!

I started this layout by actually getting the photos arranged the way I wanted, stuck them together and went to adding the layers behind them. I grabbed the ephemera packs that went with the Wish Big boy collection, along with the ciao chip icons and started to pull pieces that I thought I might wanna use on this layout. Once I did that I thought, well maybe I should get the background started. I was doing everything backwards with this layout, lol.
I pulled a few papers and decided I wanted this layout to be centered across the middle of the page. I chose the papers I wanted and went to arranging them the way I wanted. I changed it a  few times, but decided on the cute little animals in the back bottom layer. I wanted the stripes, I love pattern, so I knew I wanted that paper as well, but there needed to be a little break between the two busy layers, so I grabbed the teal tone on tone paper and added a strip of that between the layers and stuck it down and ruffled up the edges of them before I moved on.

Ok so I have the background done and had my photos with there layers, so I added 3D adhesive behind those and placed them to the right of the layout, since my son was facing the left in one photo and straight on in the other.
So now I had my photos where I wanted them and knew I could start embellishing and that's what I did. I soo wanted to use that cute little dino with his cute little party hat on, so I tucked him under my photo to the left, added a cake and some balloons and moved on to adding cupcakes to the right of my photos and some little hearts. I loved the sayings on the stickers and ephemera pieces so I decided to pop some of those in there as well. I added two tabs at the top of my photo cluster and then went for the title. I love, love , love Bellas acrylic words and this made my title extremely easy! I added it and then added boy on top of the acrylic Birthday word, with some of the Illustrated Faith homespum alpha stickers. Popped a few of the star stickers from the sticky mix sheet and that was it for this layout!

Wish Big boy collection:
Dinotastic paper, Blow them out paper, Boarders paper, Mack a wish paper, Happy birthday paper
Ephemera words, ephemera, Ciao chip icons, Sticky mix cardstock stickers
Acrylic word: Birthday

Little fiercracker / Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!!
Looks like to day I have a double post, but for two different teams and two different things, lol.
So today I've already shared a planner post and now I get to share a 12x12 layout as well!!
So the picture I decided to scrap today is one I've had for so long. My oldest son is 14 now and he was only 1 in this picture, so I thought it was about time to scrap it!
I already had my photo, I grabbed a sheet of white cardstock, drew out some stars on it and cut them out by hand. I placed the cut out stars on the right of the layout because we were both moving that way in the picture.

I backed the stars with different patterned papers from the Freedom and Fireworks collection, then added a few layers behind my photo, with these two things done I knew what direction I wanted to go with the embellishments and where to place things on my layout.
I pulled from the ephemera packs, doohickey sticker sheet and acrylic shapes and started playing with the placement of them. Once I had them where I wanted them, I thought that it would be nice to have some stitching marks around the stars that I cut out. Well my sewing machine is still packed, so I grabbed a pen and added the little marks around them by hand. After that I started placing embellishments down.

I added a lot of stars and hearts and made pretty much one whole side of my layout a big cluster. I did add three other more defined clusters to the layout as well. Right under the photo, to the bottom right of it and then the very top of the photo cluster as well.
I popped my photo and its layers up on some 3D foam adhesive and placed it on the left of my layout and added some tags, tabs, hearts and stickers to make my cluster there. On this layout instead of adding splatters I decided to added some of the enamel dots from the Heart Hugs. My layout was already busy so I thought this was a way to add the look but have it more controlled.
Those cute littel dots finished off this layout for me and I hope you enjoyed seeing it. Make sure to look out for all the other amazing work the design team dose and have a great day!!

You are all kinds of amazing/Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!!
Life has been interesting lately. I moved!! So happy with the new place, but so many things have gone wrong since we moved in. I just got internet back today and oh man did I miss it! I've been without for over 2 weeks, crazy.
Well back to the fun and playing with the pretties!!
I'm here to share with you today a new layout using Splash Zone in a bit of a different way, along with a few other new things.
I have to say that I love the way this layout turned out. I started this back when I first knew we were getting the new collections, even posted a picture of the flower in the background that, for some reason I decided to do by hand. Sewing and then cutting out. Once I got the flower cut out I did a light trace on the background and pulled out my Illustrated Faith water colors and started splattering away. I did grab a gold spray from my stash and a little shine to the flower as well. Once it was all dry, I glued down the flower and moved on to adding embellishments.
I knew where I wanted my photo, that is why I added the flower a little more to the right of the layout. I wanted the flower to show more and have all the pretty colors. I added a few layers behind my photo and quite a few tags as well to the top of it.

I added flowers here and there, even tucked under the edge of the large flower cut out I made. I added a strip to the bottom of my layout and tucked a few florals there, along with a ephemera tag, that says it doesn't get better than this.

Finishing the layout off, I grabbed some of the new Florence Alphas and Ciao Chips and made my title to the right of my photo using a few different colors.
I hope you liked this layout and I hope you come back and see what everyone else has been crafting!!

LIfe is good cards - Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!
So I made some cards with the Home sweet home collection to share with you today, and I lost them!!! I'm in the process of moving and have other people helping me and someone packed my scrappy goodness! So I was frantically going threw boxes trying to find them and I finally did!!
I have to say I'm not a huge card maker, so most of mine are pretty simple, but I still think there pretty. I actually made them for people that have been helping me fix up my new house and helping me move in. That made it much easier for me to make them too.
I made all three of these out of one sheet of paper and some of the embellishment that go along with the Home sweet home collection, with a few heart hugs added in.
I started with this card, I loved the teal color so I chose that as my background. It actually said Friends are our chosen family, but I covered that up with the opposite side of the patterned paper. I grabbed both the ephemera words and the ephemera icons, pilled out the hearts and layered them on. I ruffled up the edge of the paper the hearts were on, drew some lines to make it look like stitching and then grabbed that AMAZING rainbow washi tape and added some to the top and bottom of the card for some more color and moved on to my next card.
I added lines to the edge of this card as well, kinda wanted to keep that theme going since I had already started it on the other card. I loved the little houses and because I'm giving these to people that have been helping me in my move, I thought they were great. I covered the words on the card with a cute scalloped sticker from the Doohicky sticker sheet, and I love that, Doohicky :), and then added the together is our favorite place to be sticker and ruffled those edges up as well.

I thought the trees on here were already cute, but wanted to add some of the mini heart hugs and the regular heart hugs, so I layered two of the hearts, after peeling the sentiments off, and turned them in to some trees and added some of the enamel dots to the other tree for some more color.
Then onto my last card for this week. I layered some of the papers together, I love all of  the patterns in this collection so much by the way and I hope you do too!! There so bright and playful so are some many of the other new collection!!

After layering the papers I pulled some of the houses out of the ephemera icons and the ciao chip icons, wanted to keep with the house theme and hearts. So I added two of the houses, one was a chipboard piece, a little dimension, and  ephemera piece. I found the so thankful piece in the ephemera words and cut the ends to look like pennants, popped it up on some foam adhesive. Layered two hearts behind it, I loved that the yellow heart had a little heart on it too, made it feel like I was adding a third heart. I stuck them down and started to ruffle up the edges like I did on the other cards and added the lines to look like stitching and was done, nothing left to do but add my writing on the inside and send them to the people I made them for!
Thanks for stopping by yo see what I came up with today. If cards aren't really your thing, try to push yourself and see what you can come up with, even if there something easy like this. There still hand made and the people that receive them will love them and know you took the time to make it just for them!
