Scrappy Saturday- Love this guy/SpiegleMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone!! I'm here this morning to share a new layout with you. Y'all have probably already seen this sketch but thought I'd share it again to show you what I got my inspiration from.
I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it!! I started with a sheet of white cardstock, I lightly drew on a circle and grabbed Aint life Grand from my stash and started to punch out different sized circles.
I laid the circles I punched out around the circle I had drawn on, but wanted more circles, so I grabbed the circle stickers and die cuts from this collection and layered them in with the other circles. When I had them all where I wanted them I ran my page threw my sewing machine.

Once I had my circles stitched down and a few messy circles sewn, I grabbed my photo and added a few paper layers behind it. I messed up the edges some and then popped it all up on 3D foam, added a xoxoxo tab and stuck it down. I grabbed some word stickers from my stash and added them above and below my photo and moved onto adding my sequins!

To finish my layout, I reached into my lovely basket of sequin packets and grabbed out Puppy Dog Tails and Hustle Bustle. The colors were perfect, so I started to add them around my sewn circles.  I loved the shine it added to my layout and the color pops it added to the top of my layout too! I decided to add a navy polkadot paper as a boarder around my whole layout and added a little Heidi Swapp gold color shine splatters and was done!
Thanks so much for checking out my layout and make sure to check out what all the other Sparklers make too!! Head over to the shop and check out all the new sequins too!!

Scrappy Saturday-Being weird/ Spieglemomscraps DT

Good morning ladies!!
I hope your enjoying your weekend so far!! This is our last weekend before the kiddos go back to school and oh man we have a lot going on! We have our oldest sons 1st football game of the season, our youngest is turning one!!! Omg! And making sure everything is together for school Monday. And in there some where I want to try and find some more time to scrap!! lol
But on to the actually layout I came to share with you this morning. Lol This week over on the Spiegelmomscraps blog were scraplifting the fantastic Katty Miranda!
Here is the layout I chose to scraplift of hers:

To start my layout I pulled out a few of my favorite shimmerz and played with the packaging technique on the background. Mine is no where near as bright as Katty's but I loved the way the colors blended together and went with the Create Paper  Confetti collection that I had decided to use. I know I could have made them stand out more but I decided to not use gesso on the background and keep it a but lighter.

I wanted to scrap this goofy picture of me and my hubby playing with one of the Snapchat filters. I have a lot of these kind of pictures! Me and my kiddos play with it all the time too! lol I layered a few papers behind my picture and then moved on to embellishing.

I wanted to add a lot of embellishments like Katty had, but I didn't want to use so many flowers since this was just a goofy pic of me and my hubby. I mean dont get me wrong I could have easily used flowers, but I wanted to use some of the pointed circles that were in the collection already. But I did add a few flowers in there too!

After adding the paper embellishments in there and getting them where I wanted them, I stuck them down and started playing with some of the chipboard pieces and other 3D embellishments. And pulled out my cute little Shooting cork stars and layered them in where I wanted them.

I always save the best for last! I pulled out one of my favorite sequin packs right now, Fairy Garden. I love playing with my sequins! lol I added those beautiful little shiny pops of color here and there on my layout and was done.
I loved scraplifting Katty this week, I had fun with it! And I hope your liked my take on Katty's layout!!

And remember if your looking for some pretty shinys to add to your stash, make sure to head to the SpiegleMomscraps store and use my name to get 15% off!!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Together/Sketch it out Saturday SMS DT

Good morning everyone! Sarah here this morning to share with you a new layout made with a 80's-90's theme.
So for me, I chose my sketch first to work with:

Like I said before, I have a ton of sketches pinned on Pinterest and this one comes from there to but it originally comes from DesignerDigitals.com
The first thing I thought of with this theme this month was a shirt I had when I was a kid. So I decided to head to my Silhouette and make a new cutfile for my background.

lol, I thought the cutfile fit  quite well with what my old shirt looked like, but I do remember my shirt being black and all the designs were filled in with different neon colors.
I thought the We R Memory Keepers, It Factor, to play with. I liked the neon colors and cool patterns. I backed my cut file and then started the layering behind the photo like it shows in the sketch.

I added a doily behind my photo and then added the teal strip and bright yellow. For my title I grabbed a gold frame, clipped it off and slid it under in center of my photo. I love this old goofy  picture of me and my sister, we were always together and since that was the first thing I thought when I saw this picture, I figured I'd use it as a title. I saw that the sketch had another strip of what looked like washi tape behind the photo, I grabbed my Dear Lizzy washi, it was a light teal with cool little squares on it, again I had a shirt like that when I was younger too, but I slid that washi behind the photo and then started add my pretty sequins and cork butterflies.

I pulled some little ephemera pieces from Pink Paislee-C'est La Vie collection and added the little label and for me I wanted a little more so I added a ticket on top of that. I wanted more embellishing then the sketch showed, So I added a nest of thread behind my cork butterfliesthen added sequins from Gotta Love Emojis and Wild&Free.
On the sketch it showed something wrapped around the photo, but I didn't want to add that, So I didn't. But I did like the look of the sewing around the layout, So I grabbed my sewing Machine and sewed a few wonky lines around my layout, then I decided I would add a little stitching to the bottom of my photo too. The sewing machine stitched so easily threw the cork butterflies and I loved the way it looked. The sequins I added matched this collection perfectly too!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and see what I made with this fun theme this month and I hope you come back to see what else we come up with!

Sketch it out Saturday/ SMS DT Auntie on duty

Good morning everyone!!
So who is excited that this is a long weekend??!! (Hand in the air, jumping a little!!) lol And oh man, summer started here Friday, so a little more sleeping in and then running around with the kids! So much fun to come this summer!
Well this morning I'm here to share with you a layout and sketch that I crated.

I play around with making my own sketches off and on all the time. If i'm not in the mood to scrap or just cant actually get in to my scrappy room cause of other things going on, I'll pick up on paper pad and sketch here and there.

Ok, so yes I know this is a goofy picture of my youngest daughter. My sister had come to baby sit so I could get some things done one day and I came back to this. My daughter is really light haired, maybe strawberry blond, and you cant really see her eye brows very well, so my sister thought it would be funny to draw them on with eye liner and have her make faces lol.
Now back to the layout, lol. I started with picking the goofy pic of my daughter, and to be honest, I started with the bottom of my layout, this inst something I normally do. I had grabbed an Amy Tangerine collection, Better together, I wanted bright and playful just like the picture.

I did the strip across the bottom of the layout, added a cut-file I had set to the side, with others I just hadn't used yet. Then I jumped to the top of the layout and started layering my pattern paper strips there and I decided to add cut-file in there too.
I know in my sketch it shows circles cascading down the layout, but I decided to use squares, this was because I found a cute little cut apart sheet that I wanted to use, lol.
Then I started layering a frame and a larger ampersand behind my photo, along with a few acetate pieces.

I worked my way down the layout at this point and started to add the circle ephemera and the flowers to the bottom strip. I added my title about that and then my favorite part!! I pulled out my sequins and started to play!!
I used a mix of sequins on this layout, Jaded Hearts, Wild and Free and Gone with the Wind. These colors matched perfectly with this Amy Tan collection and I loved that I got to add a few little flower sequins in there!
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I made today and I hope to see you play along with this sketch and if youd like a little discount on some SpiegleMom goodies, use this code below when you check out in the shop!
