Hip Kit Club CT/ In Grandmas arms

Good morning everyone!! Im here to share a layout that I created with Hip Kit clubs January kits
I used mostly Crate paper, Hello,Love and My Minds Eye, My Story. These two collections went so well together and I love it! Ashley Horton also posted this great color challenge over on the Hip Kit Facebook page and I used the colors from it to come up with this layout.

I used the cut file that Ashley Horton created for hip kit this month and actually manipulated it in my silhouette software to where I had two connected together, one a bit smaller then the other. I had already picked my photo so this whole thing came together so easily.

I layered some of the pretty crate paper behind my cut files and some of the Basic grey behind my photo and another cut file then stated to layer pieces from the crate paper hello love collection and the My minds eye my story collection with bits of gold thread bunches here and there and to finish it off I added some Heidi Swapp Gold Lame and Seafoam color shine.

This layout was a bit harder for me to make, only for the fact that my parents recently moved and I'm use to having them close and so are my kids. I know Im a grown woman, but I miss having my parents so close that I can go see them every day and now I cant and I miss them sooo much, and my kids hate that there gone. Its a big transition needless to say!
But this picture was taken the night before they moved, well before that finished packing everything. We stayed the last two nights before they left and this night, my youngest son crawled up in his grandmas lap and fell asleep. My mom didn't want to move, she was about ready to sleep in this chair so that she wouldn't lose any of this precious time with him. He doesn't know I have this picture, but Im sure in the future he'll be happy that I do.

Well I hope you enjoyed this layout and my rambling. If you havent already, you need to head over to the Hip kits site and grab Januarys kit and sign up so you can get February kit too!! Its SOOOOOO amazing!! Packed full of all kinds of new releases from this past release, its great and you wont want to miss out I promise!!

Hip Kit club CT/ Love you Rose

Good morning everyone. I've been MIA for a weeks or so and I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I have been sick! And it has not been fun. But I'm back and I have a pretty layout that I created with this months January Hip Kits!!

My daughter is over 3 now and I hadn't scrapped this photo and when I saw the papers and embellishments in this kit, I knew I had found the right stuff to scrap it with! I used Crate paper, Hello, love My valentine paper for the background, I loved it, but I decided to tone down the background a bit with a piece of American crafts vellum from the Carsdstock kit and a little white wash on the top and faded it out towards the middle to made it look omber under the vellum. I just added a little bit of white paint to water to make it fade out just a little.

Next I grabber this beautiful cut file that the lovely Kim Watson made for the Hip Kit club this month.

I used a lot of the pretty Crate paper Hello, love collection to embellish this layout. Everything was so pretty! And I loved all the gold!!

I added a a few touches from the My Minds Eye, My story brads sheet, with little messy clumps of gold thread here and there and those lovely Hip Kit exclusive acrylic confetti pieces from the Embellishment kit
I wanted this layout to be simple, but pretty, this was a special day and I wanted it to be shown that way as well. I love that my husband managed to get this sweet shot of me and her.

Well I hope you enjoyed my layout and I hope you share what you make with your kits too! and make sure, if you haven't already, head over to the Hip kit Club website and grab your January kit before there all gone and make sure you get next months kit too, Its GORGEOUS!! And smack full of new releases from the recent CHA!!

Lovely/ Lets get sketchy-Picture this blog hop!!

Welcome to the Lets Get Sketchy/Picture This “ My One Word” Blog Hop.
You should have come from http://2crazycrafters.blogspot.com.au/  Elisa‘s blog.  If you have stumbled across this by chance and want to play along then you can head back to the Let's Get Sketchy site to start at the beginning and to start collecting your challenge words. I created this layout using a stash from My Minds Eye collection My Story. I've had this collection since right after it was released and I haven't touched it till now, Its Beyond me why I haven't played with it yet, being so beautiful and full of all these bright colors!
This was a quite simple layout, I punched a piece of vellum with one of my punches and laid it across the whole page and them layered a few pieces of the beautiful patterned papers on top, then I added a rectangle to the right of my photo to start my embellishing. I added the little library pocket for my journaling and then started to layer bits and pieces from the diecut pack and them placed my title on that pretty gold arrow. I finished it off by adding a few gold rub ons and a bit of black Heidi Shine.

Remember to play along in our hop challenge to win the wonderful prize from our sponsor, Creative Embellishments!

The cold never bothered be anyways/ Hip Kit CT Layout

Good morning everyone!! It is finally getting cold here so its been a blast to work with this months kits and last years pictures!

I made this layout using the sketch that Ashley Horton created for one of the challenges on the Hip kit club forums

This here is my take on that great sketch. And to be honest the title was my hubbies suggestion lol. Our girls love Frozen and it popped into his head and it stuck and ended up as the title.lol. Along with this sketch challenge I thought I would challenge myself to use a colored cardstock background. Now to some of you this may not seem hard, but I dont stray much from my white background, it feels weird. And this wasnt any different but I loved the color of this pretty cardstock, Lollipop, even the name is fun!

So I turned to my Silhouette and grabbed Nicole Nowosad and Ashley Hortons cut files and started to play to see what I was going to do for the background. And then when I needed to fill the circles I automatically went for that Pink Fresh Studio paper. I love that little penguin!!  And thought it would work as its own little embellishment. Along with that little cute deer. So I started backing my paper with pieces of that Pink fresh studio paper, then I stared to sew little snow flakes and the print and cut files from Kim watson, to the page.

I backed my photo of my youngest daughter with Kims exclusive papers and then started to add puffy stickers and those pretty pretty glittered silver foam stickers, also exclusive to this kit! I added little thread messes behind some of the embellishment clusters and then remembered I had those My minds eye enamel dots and had to add some of those too! Like on the cute little deers bow, lol.

To finish off my layout I grabbed my white acrylic paint, because at the moment Im out of my while mist, add some water to it and splattered it around my layout.
Thanks for stopping by my blog to check my layout out. Head over to the Hip Kit Blog and check out what all the other ladies have made with the kits from November and then head over to facebook and look up the Hip Kit group, come join in on great chats and fun challenges with chances to win!!
