Spring breaks over :( and a few more LOs

Our Spring break was this past week. Ours was pretty uneventful. I say that but I think I spent a combined 19-20 hours in the car. UGH! I get it may not be that much in a week span for some but to me, in two days, its a lot.lol. And my back is killing me! But I have my boys back so it was all worth it! Oh I guess it would be better to let know that they were at there dads house, thats what all the driving was for. There dad gets them for Spring Break, So I was without my boys for a week, it made it way to quiet around here. I did have my girls, so it wasn't completely quiet here but quieter than normal. I have to say, being use to 4 kiddos all the time, having them here and seeing them and then 2 being gone, its such a weird feeling and I don't like it one bit!
So you might think having 2 of the kiddos gone, I might get more scrappy stuff done, but nope.lol I did manage a few LOs and a canvas I made for my mom, but my back was so messed up, I didn't do much at all, but here are the few that I did get done. These were all made with the Hip kit clubs March kit. I did add a few of my own items in here and there.

This is my youngest, she was hanging out on the back porch with us at our old house, I looked over, she looked so cute, so I snapped a picture of her. I did use my own mists and doilies on this one.

I made this for my mom, something she could hang in her scrapbooking room at her house. She always loves getting pictures, Layouts or mini albums from me even though she scraps too. We just have different scrapbooking styles, so its always fun for us. I added my own string and mists on this one too.

Here is my oldest son, so proud of him!! This is him with his acceptance letter into ALPHAS. This is a group in his school and most schools for gifted and talented kids. He was so happy when he got in, and me the scrapbooker I am, had to take a picture of him with his letter. I also went and got him a bottle of sparkling apple cider to celebrate with, lol goofy I know, but I love to make a big deal over there achievements! This LO was also a part of a challenge from Hip kits facebook page.

And again, my youngest daughter. Cut the background with my cameo and added pieces of patterned papers behind it. She actually took this picture herself when she was about 7 months old. She liked to have my phone with music on when she was sleeping, well she woke up and managed to snap a cute, up close picture. I really just loved this picture!!

Im down to just a little left with my kit, I already ordered my kit for April, but I think when I get my May kit I'll have to order me some add ons! Definitely loving there kits, cant wait to get my April kit already!! But we are home, gonna make some dinner and then hopping to get some more scrapping done.

Photo Bomb

We like to play and have fun around our house and with four little ones its none stop! And a little crazy at times too!! Well me and my hubby can be big kids on our own, It was a nasty, rainy day out when we took these photos and our olders were at school, just had our youngest at home. We decided to take some goofy selfies and then out of no where our daughter popped in to the pics, so we kept going. She loves cameras, as you can see!! lol

I used my beautiful 2015 March Hip kit, and cardstock add on to make this layout, along with more to come. Out of my stash I pulled Heidi Swapp color shine and splattered and some of my thread. I did some sewing on my page and am still loving the new technique to me. And I also used my new silhouette cameo, (sooo loving it!!) and cut out my circle pattern in the background and painted it with gesso.

Got my 1st Hip Kit Club Kit!!!!

Woo Hoo!! I got my First kit from the Hip Kit Club!!I have to admit I'm a little behind, I've had it for a week and haven't even posted about the beautiful kit.
So this month was my first month for the kit and I got the main kit, the paper add on and the cardstock add on. To be honest I'm not big on textured or colored cardstock, I mainly stick to non-textured white, black and kraft cardstock. So I figured, everything is so beautiful why not try something semi new to me again. And I'm so glad I did!!

So here is my first layout with the kit. I love the bright, springy colors threw the kit. I'm enjoying the cork too! Ive played with it a bit in the past but I'm hoping to play with more, I've already went out and bought more cork, lol

I've also had a sewing machine for years, made a few lap quilts but that's about it. I've watched so many youtube videos with everyone sewing on there pages so I dug mine out and tried it myself...Looks like almost all my pages will have sewing on them for a while, until I get tiered of it, or it breaks down again.lol

Getting it back a little

Well I finally got a few layouts done. No where near as many as I would have liked to have gotten done but its a start right?
We got some snow here and I know a lot of others got it as well, but my kids loved it. They got snow days and got to stay home and play in it. The first time it snowed here it wasnt really snow, it was hard and more icy than anything so not a lot of fun. But the second time it snowed it was so nice and fluffy! We got the kids up in the middle of the night to just show them out the window and tell them that they were getting to stay home again and play in it this time. Of course they were jazzed lol. So the next morning me and my hubby got our munchkins up and dressed and headed out on a walk about in the snow. It was really the first time our youngest had seen the snow. Shes two but its never done anything for her to see before and she was amazed by it. It didnt matter how cold she got, she didnt wanna go inside. It was so much fun. I have so many more pics from our snow days to scrap and this definitely made me wanna scrap them.

I scrapped some of the older kids game time, this was a little different for me though because I decided that I wasn't using any papers other than my back ground paper and the project life kind of cards. These were by We R Memory Keepers, albums made easy. I've had them for a good while and haven't touched them so I figured it was time to get them out and use them. I ended up happy with my layout though.

Now this layout of my youngest I'm just not that happy with. It looks lacking to me. I love the little area with her pics and I love the title, I really do like it all, maybe its because I didnt get a great picture of it?? Not sure. It was also my first time ever using my gelatos. I have sooo much to learn!! lol.

lost the umf

So I've been sick this past week maybe a little more, (guess that comes with the weather and having four kids!) and haven't really had the want or any kind of creative anything and its just killin me! I just recently subscribed to the Hip Kit Club and am patiently awaiting my first kit and I'm just hoping I get my want to or umf back before it gets here. My hubby even got a Silhouette Cameo the beginning of this last week and I've only made one cut on it! And anyone who knows me knows thats INSANE!!

As today is the 1st of March and my kit will be heading my way soon, I figured I'd get in my scrappy room and try and do something. So I decided to find some sketches that I liked off my pintrest, grab some of my photos and start pulling papers and embellishments and see what I could actually do. So I've already gotten about 10 page kits put together, I'm thinking its about time to stop and actually do a page. So hopefully I'll have something to show for it here in the next couple days!
