Be Creative / Stash scrapping

Morning everyone! How has your weekend going so far??
Are you ready for Halloween?? We are ready now, still not to sure I really wanna get out with the kids this year with all the crazy going on, but the kids want to go so bad, so I guess its just being extremely careful.
I miss when I was a kid and you didn't have to worry about the crazy like you do now. Anyways....

This another layout that I did playing along with an online crop earlier this month and thought I'd share. I dont do a lot of mixed media anymore, I use to, I use to A LOT! But I like my layouts to be more clean, but I'm starting (very tentatively) to get back into playing with mixed media.

To be honest, I love the out let. Scrapbooking is so relaxing, but like I said I like mine to be more clean. But sometimes I really want to just get messy!! So maybe some more pretty messes in my future!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Outdoor fun with Daddy / PLS pinsperation

Hey everyone! Tonight Im sharing a layout I created for Pretty Little Studios design team. Tonight I'm playing with the Pinterest inspiration mood board.

I used mostly the woodsy elements of the mood board. I even took inspiration from the tree branches for my background. I grabbed some distress in and a stencil and made some light leafs on the background. I also used some Heidi Swapp color shine in gold from some little splatters. After that I dove into the Woodland Collection and started layering!!

I used a cut file from the Cut Shoppe to start out my base for the layering on this layout. I grabbed my photo and matted it on some American Crafts white card stock and then started the layering of the Woodland papers.

When I was done with the layering behind my picture I thought it was to much on one side and I knew I didnt want my title over there too so I started on my title area and then adhered that to the opposite side. Then it was time to play with the embellishments!!

I layered some tags with the word stickers and the die cuts, I LOVE that butterfly!! Oh so pretty!! I layered in some tabs, vellum tape and I even made an epoxy flair.
I had fun with this layout and hope you enjoyed it too!!

Pretty Little Studio Products used:
Woodlan Collection: Caterpillar Green 8x8 paper, papers from 6x6 Woodland paper collection, die-cut butterfly, Wild Rose 3x4 cards, Rose bush tabs, Clover Leaf label cut-aparts, ABC-Tree bark, Petals vellum tape, Wonderlust words

Guest designing for the Cut Shoppe!! and a Giveaway!!

Good morning everyone!! I'm so excited to say that I'm guest designing on the Cut Shoppe Blog today!! I'm very thankful that Ashley gave me this chance and I had so much fun with it!!
And stay tuned at the bottom for a great giveaway from the CutShoppe!!

I used the Geo to go cutfile for my background, I did a tone on tone with that cutfile. I grabbed my Dear Lizzy, Serendipity collection and cut the geo to go cutfile again so that I can pop the geos up to add color and dimension. I did a bit of layering with the Serendipity around the funny little photo of our youngest that fell asleep on the boat this last summer. I also used the cutfile Nautical Notions for my title, ( You float my boat) and the cool little wheel behind the photo.

I played with my watercolors for my title, I wanted it to make it look like water, but in pink lol. And then I used my Faber-Castell, Lemon for my wheel. I loved that pop of color up at the top and the cutfiles were so fun to play with!!

Now Like I said at the beginning, I have a giveaway thanks to Ashley Horton of TheCutShoppe. I have the Geo to go cutfile up for grabs, so I will pick a random winner that leaves a comment on my blog by Wednesday and I will get up with you and let you know how to get your cutfile. I hope you enjoyed this layout and Wednesday night I will be getting up with one of you and letting you know how to collect your prize!! Thanks so much!!
