Spin me right round / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!!!
So here is another layout that I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.
This kit is Awesome!! I mean there are plenty of pretty pattern papers in this kit to where I was able to make girly pages and look here a boy page to! lol

So this layout started with the picture, I decided I wanted to use a cut-file after I had went threw my remaining papers. So I went to my computer and opened up my Silhouette software, chose what I wanted to cut out and started it on a sheet of cardstock. Well for some crazy reason my Silhouette decided to shut off half way thew the cut and drag the blade across the cut-file!
I was mad at first. Not only did it mess up the cut-file but it cut threw my mat!!

Well as you see here, I decided I was going to use the cut-file anyways!! It didnt cut the whole thing, it was suppose to be a whole page but I decided I would work with what it gave me. So I used the negative pieces and sewed them to the other side of the layout and I'm happy with how it turned out.
I put the pretty light blue ledger as the backer behind the cut-file and started layering with all the other pretty papers in the kit. I even used one of the little glassin bags that came with some of my pretties in it, as one of the layers.

I added the title with those awesome Pink fresh Studio alphas, love the color! Added a few of the cute puffy stickers here and there, along with some other tabs and tags and that was it for this one.
This kit just keeps on giving!! I got my December kit the other day, dove into it and still keep playing with this one too!! lol Cant help it!

I hope you will come back and see what else I make and make sure to watch the Cocoa Daisy website for the December kits!! I promise you wont want to miss any of them!!

29 Pinspired 12x12 layout / Pretty Little Studio DT

Morning everyone!!
Thanksgiving is over, the kids are back at school and a new week has started!!
So to start out my week I created a layout using some images from pinterest.

And this is the layout I came up with! Of course I loved the colors and they went perfectly with the Oakley Avenue collection and I love hexagons. So I decided to cut a few out of my background and back them with patterned papers and sew a acrylic sheet over them.

My picture was horrible, taken in terrible light, but I loved my sons face and what he was doing so I just had to scrap it! lol I sewed some a few strips of patterned paper across the bottom, this also anchored the acetate. Then I started adding some embellishments, a tab with a fall stickers, a few other stickers and a little ball of thread.

I placed the title in the upper left corner. I stated with some alpha stickers and then had cut out the rest, this way it also pulled some of the patterned paper from the bottom up to the top. I added a bit more thread and a sticker pointing back to the layout and picture.

To finish off my layout I added some layering behind my photo and placed it to the right of my layout, since it looked like my son was looking in towards the center of my layout. I thought it would be fun to have a little something on the photo itself too, so I added a few stickers.

Not amused / Leave a little sparkle wherever you go / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!! I hope your weekend has went well and I hope you had a great turkey day!!
We've had a long one and its been great. We got to see a bunch of family and friends and eat lots of great food too!
I thought I would drop in real quick this morning and share a few layouts I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.

This one was made for a sketch challenge over at Cocoa Daisy and I had so much fun with it! I love to work with sketches, You can work as close to the sketch as you want if you just want to or if your mojo is low or you can just use it as a jumping off point. I stuck pretty close to it, just because Iiked the sketch.

I was fun and I loved how it worked with the goofy pics of my youngest daughter.
Speaking of goofy.....

Here is another layout I made of me and my middle daughter. We were playing around taking goofy selfies lol. I loved the Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper, so I used it as a larger strip of the right side. Did a bit of layering behind the photos with some of the DITL cards, patterned papers and some of the exclusive little stickers and die-cuts.

I finished it off with some of the pretty Spiegelmom scraps sequins.
Heres a few more close ups of that layout for you to look at.

Cards / Pretty little studio DT

Good morning everyone!!
I'm here this morning to share with you a few cards I made with the Oakley Avenue collection.  Like I've said before, I'm really loving this collection, but I've used almost all of what I had. I think I may have one or two more layouts left in there, lol

These really didn't take long to make. I grabbed some kraft card stock for my card base, a few of the lighter colored pattern papers, sewed then down and went to embellishing.

The die-cut packs made it really easy to put these cards together. Easy sayings, a cute fox and the pops of color!

Pumpkin Patch / 12x12 layout Pretty Little Studio DT

Hello everyone! Hows your weekend been?? I hope its been good.
Today I'm sharing a layout with you of our 1st time as a family, going to the pumpkin patch. It was fun and the kids loved it. Were making this an every year thing now! I do think we might find a bigger one next year though so there is more for the older ones to do, but it was fun!
We got to play in a corn pit, see some farm animals, do a little hayride and pick out our own pumpkins, I have way to many pictures!! lol but this collection is amazing with them all!!

I wanted to try something a little different for me with this layout. The picture is the 100% main focus and I thought having the triangle going straight to it would focus on that even more and really I just liked it! lol

I had fun layering pieces on  this layout. I loved starting on one side and moving out from there. I added some sewing with gold thread to this layout for some more texture and because I liked the way it looked. I even sewed across my title. This isn't something I normally do with anything 3D, OK so I've tried to but messed up something fierce! lol But I took a risk and so happy I did.

I added tabs and little fall stickers, love those by the way! And finished it all off with my journaling and a bit of Gold Heidi Shine and that was it for this one.

Thanksgiving Inspired door hanger / Cocoa Daisy DT

Hello!! So whos ready for the Thanksgiving holiday to start?? This girl right here, that who!! lol For us it starts today!! The kiddos headed out to school this morning so excited that break starts when they get out of school today. We have a lot of family stuff planned and I have lots of scrappy stuff planned lol.
Speaking of.....
I'm sharing a door hanger I created with this months Cocoa Daisy Sprinkles kit and the Glazed add-on. The colors are fantastic, I'm not really that traditional so I love the teal popped in here too! I started by butting a cut-file created by Ashley Horton, it says Happy fall y'all, I backed that with the pretty teal paper.

After I did the backing I ran a bunch of the papers threw my silhouette, cutting out a bunch of leaves. I played with the placement for a short period of time and was happy so I lightly glued them down and then sewed threw them all a few times, all the way around in a circle. After I sewed them down I lifted up the edges of the leafs to add come dimension. I loved it already but wanted more to it.

So I thought I'd put a saying on it. And if you know me, I'm a bit goofy and I like things to be fun so I chose a fun little saying. Gobble til you wobble. lol My kids liked it too.

I thought I wanted it out of that pretty yellow, but when I cut it out I realized I didnt like it. So I grabbed the brown paper that looked like leather and thought it would look great and I was way happier with that one!!

Finishing it off I placed some of the awesome Spiegelmom Scraps sequins here and there around the little leaf wreath and I was happy.

I had fun with this one, I always love having new home decor for the holidays, now I have family members wanting some too lol.
Remember to head over to Cocoa Daisy and check out the kits and grab them before there all gone!! And make sure to check back for the new kits for December too!!

Fuled by Coffee / 12x12 layout Cocoa Daisy DT

Ok jumping right in today...
Over at Cocoa Daisy there was a challenge that involved sewing in a creative way or a way you don't normally. Well I sew with my machine all the time and I love it, I've sewn by hand only one other time, but I thought this layout, yep could do that and I totally love a challenge!!

I also LOVED this months cut files from CCD. I mean there about coffee!! lol I'm a coffee-aholic! So I played with that. Used two of the words in this months cut files, cuppa and coffee.I scaled them to different sizes and backed them. After I backed them all I used different stitches on my sewing machine and sewed right threw them all. I sewed the big coffee cup by hand after that, right in the center of the page and went from there.

I grabbed that cute DITL card that says, Caffeine loading please wait, from this months DITL kit, again a lot of coffee themed stuff and I am so loving it all!!*swoon* lol I added some layering behind my photo and a red circle behind both, added a little to the left side for some balance and that was it.

I so cant wait for the 25th of this month and if your a Gilmore Girls fan, you know why!!! 6 hours of commercial free Gilmore girls!!! Yay netflix!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what I had going, I have a fun thanksgiving inspired door hanger coming to my blog very soon, so stay tuned!!

The sweetest thing / 12x12 layout Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!! How is your Sunday going?? Mine is pretty good. Got up and it had frosted outside!! So excited for winter!! Everything is back to normal now, and it should be in the high 60's today but its starting!! lol So after I noticed that, I grabbed me a cup of coffee while everyone but the youngest was down and drank my 1st cup in quite, except for a bit of cooing, lol Kiddos got up and we had a yummy breakfast and now there all off to chores, baby is asleep and I'm here, still drinking coffee!! lol

Anyways.....lol back to scrapping.....

So this precious little one is my newest addition to the family and here in this picture she was sick :( An upper respiratory infection and nothing they could give her for it since she was only right over a month old, so sad. But she looked so precious, I still had to scrap it and OMG this months Cocoa Daisy Scrapbook Kit, Sprinkles, the DITL kit and paper add on, Glazed are all so pretty and an amazing combination of products!

I used an old cut file and used that for most of the background. I liked the white on white and the sewing on top of that. I grabbed that pretty Maggie Holmes bird paper for the bottom and that was the base for my layout. After that I started the layering behind my photo. I used bits and pieces of scraps and a DITL card tucked in there.

I punched out a circle and used a few of the exclusive stickers/cut outs and that oh so sweet wood veneer.

I did pop in a little doily from my stash, I love the soft look of them! I finished it all off by adding a few hearts from the Dear Lizzy thickers set and then my journaling about my sweet little girl.

I'm loving my kits and have so much more to share!! These kits just keep going and I'm loving it!!
Thanks for stopping by to check out what I created today and I hope you come back by to see what else I do. If you dont want to miss anything, feel free to hit that follow button and make sure to head to the Cocoa Daisy site and grab your kits before there gone!!

Hello Fall / Feature Friday with Pretty Little Studio

Good morning everyone!! So who's happy its Friday???!!??! ME!!
Well before my weekend starts, I wanted to share a fun little layout with you all using the beautiful Oakley Avenue collection, Ashley Horton created. You will probably be seeing quite a bit of this collection being used for a while by me. I love it! The colors can be used for so many things and I'm really digging them with my fall pictures.

Well this week I played with a bit of the flair from the collection, because come on there just too cute! I love flair to though! lol I could probably use it on everything! I have a daughter that keeps trying to swipe them and I'm like nope, look here's a pretty piece of paper for you, now give mommy back her pretties! lol

So for my layout I started out with the die cut arrows, I loved them and thought they would be great for a background, so thats where that started. Then I started layering the papers. I decided I wanted another natural and loved the color of the paper bag some of my kit came in with the kit so I added that. I Ran some of the patterned papers threw my Silhouette and cut out some leafs, layered those and then started in on the cute little tabs and tags.

I used die cuts from one of the die cut packs for my title, then it was time to grab my flair. So to be perfectly honest, I had to pull myself back and be like, thats to much!! lol I wanted to use a whole pack of my flair on one layout, but I got onto my self and pulled back. lol

I added some thread clusters under my flair, added my journaling and finished off with a little sprinkle of Gold Heidi Shine.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out this layout and make sure to go to the Pretty Little Studio shop and grab this collection and make sure to grab the flair!! lol

Memory Planning / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone! Sarah here this morning to share my 1st project for the Cocoa Daisy blog. I'm kinda excited, ok yeah I'm really excited!! lol

Anyways, I got my November 2016 Sprinkles kit, the glazed paper add on and the DITL kit and they are all AMAZING!!

So I feel I might do planning a little different then most. I do what I call memory planning. I do my monthly page like most, but when it comes to my week to week I do it a bit different. I don't do any pre-prep, I print my pictures out at the end of every week and head to my planner and start there. I guess its about how most people do there Project life but in a smaller format. lol
I love that I can flip threw and see the little things that happened during the past week or months easily.

I didn't get this months planner kit so I decided to use the pretty DITL kit and some of the other papers from the kits to do my planner. I LOVE the DITL cards! They are all so cute and the sayings on them are fantastic! It it just so happened that they went perfect with my week!

I always start out covering the right side of my planner pages, thats if the colors that are already there don't match what I'm wanting to use. I also do it if I just want to use some pretty paper lol. I cover my separating lines and then I move into the day to day. I place pictures with their corresponding days and start adding the pretty stuff.

I journal about what happened each day, about each picture. I love using the DITL cards as ways to hide some things I journal about that I don't want everyone to see right off the bat or at all. I also use them because they are pretty and I like the sayings lol. I played with the glitter washi tape and made it to where I can place one photo on top of the other and to where I can journal under my DITL cards, perfect hinges.
In the end I punched out a few little hearts from one of the branding strips and added a few of the Amy Tangerine puffy stickers and that was a wrap for this week. To be honest this takes me about 20-30 min. a week to do, depending how many of my kiddos are running in and out, lol. But I also do this because some of the pictures I use are necessarily pictures I'd use for a full page layout, but they are things I'd still like to remember.
I love how these kits can be used for all kinds of projects! Thanks for stopping by and checking out what I made. If you don't want to miss anything feel free to click that follow button!
Hope you have a great day!

Creative Scrappers / Love this day together 12x12 layout

Good morning everyone!! Today I'm sharing my 1st layout with Creative Scrapper sketch blog as a design team member!
Here is the sketch, make sure to play along, share your layout with #CreatingWithSketches just like every month there is a fantastic prize for the winner and this month the great sponsor is My Creative Scrapbook.

Now here is my take on the sketch. I stuck real close to the sketch it self because I loved the way it looked.
I used the Maggie Holmes, Shine collection for this layout, it just went great with the colors in my pictures, since I don't usually scrap colored photos anymore, it was nice that I had something in my stash that worked so great!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my layout and I hope to see your layout out too!
